This is just an update to my friends/readers. I'm about to write the final chapter to Wanderlust once I submit this post, and afterwards I will be on a fanfic writing hiatus.  I have my writing playlist on and everything, so hopefully i'll be in a good writing mood to give this fanfic its proper closure. What I mean by hiatus is, I won't be starting any new stories any time soon, but I will be checking up on AFF to reply messages/comments and say hi as regularly as i have been. I want to take a break from writing fanfics, mainly because I've kind of grown up from it. I want to write a real novel, and many of you might already know that I've started this pursuit years ago. Planning-wise that is... I only started writing it last month, as of now I have three chapters finished. I want more time to focus solely on writing my real novel, and I hope it publish it someday. Writing fanfics, however, was a fun and crucial step in developing my writing abilities and giving me the confidence to move towards my real life goals. 

I only started writing fanfics because I wanted the stories I wrote to be shared, and figured that fanfics were just stories, it didn't matter much about what I wrote as long as I substituted the character names with kpop idols. Fanfic writing has never been about fangirling or OTP shipping, I never wrote a fanfic thinking that I'd want two idols to actually live out the things I wrote. My fanfics are stories which I just borrowed the idol's names... often giving no consideration as to whether their real personalities actually fit what I bestowed upon them. 

It's true that other than Wanderlust I have another ongoing fanfic, Countdown to Sunset, but I'm going to take my time with that one. The plot can't be easily forgotten if they're just all real memories, right? I will still update it during this hiatus, but not as regularly as I've been updating Wanderlust. 

Your opinion is needed(about my real novel... info below)!

So about the real novel I've been working on... My temporary title (I'm a little conflicted about whether I should continue with this or not, you can share your opinions with me in a comment) is Rain Sound. Let's pause right here. Yes I actually got the idea from BAP's song, Rain Sound, but something about it stuck to me. Sure it grammatically could be said in a clearer manner, like "The Sound of Rain", but I kind of like short, mildly ominous titles. The reason I'm so conflicted is that many of my real life friends agree with me and like the title Rain Sound, but I'm worried that's a biased opinion because when I mentioned it to a few adults at the restaurant I work at, they gave me an iffy and judgmental stare, as if they didn't really like it but had no way of telling me so. I know different things appeal to different age categories... my friends are all in their late teens/early twenties, and the adults I've spoken to are all near retirement age... so I don't know. Should I find a new title or keep the one I have?

Just for anyone's curiosity, I don't want to leak too much (not that there's even a lot to leak) but my real novel will be fiction literature about domestic violence.
