Style: She always has a tomboy sort of style. Never, ever, ever, ever will wear Heels or skirts or dresses that are super short and tight. She doesn't have a y or aegyo-y cute look, cause she rather not. she would just wear a plain tee with jeans and sneakers and sometimes a beanie. Background: She was born in Mokpo, thus being Korean. However, her father was Korean while her mother was Chinese. When turning the age of two, Mai and her parents decided to go back to the states, where Mai will continue her studies there. They moved to New York in the States, and lived in a condo. Mai was little and innocent at the time, vulnerable and needed someone to depend on, but she had no one when being bullied. She was the new girl at her school, and caught most of the boys' attention with her up-beat attitude and cute appearance, not to mention she wasn't scared of getting dirty or of sports. She was also thought as different, since she didn't really speak English that well at the time, her first language being Korean. But, her difference difference is what made her special, but it also hurt her. She was bullied by other girls, they would verbally attack her, but Mai paid no mind to it, not just because she couldn't really understand them, but she thought their words were point-less. Thus angering the girls for being ignored and they would start to get physical. At times they would do petty things, such as trip her in the hallway or slap her things to the floor making it scatter everywhere. However it only got worse, after school the girls would sometimes gang up on Mai and beat her up behind the school, in a secluded area. Mai would come home with newly formed bruises and cuts, but was somehow able to hide it from her parents fairly well, no one knew of her pain.

She can't really help it, since it is more of a habit than hobby to her. She has a sharp-tongue that can make any grown man cry. She can make come-backs as quick as lightning an isn't very hesitant in what she says or does. She in not the type to second guess herself, and once she makes up her mind then it is set. She isn't the type to regret her decisions afterwards the action is done. She has much experience as a prankster and has learned to get away with it home-free. She is sometimes addressed as "fox in sheep's clothing"since she is very sneaky, somewhat dangerous, and highly unpredictable. You may think that she is mysterious and likes to keep to herself at first sight, but then the next thing you know is that she is pranking everyone left and right. She also has a straight forward personality, and isn't afraid to speak her mind. She is the type to tell someone straight up the truth, she being very blunt with her words at times. She does not sugar coat her words, so sometimes it can be a little hurtful to others. She is very stubborn and doesn't take "no" for an answer. She is also quite persuasive and can turn any situation in her favor. She knows how to use the right kinds of words to get out of any problem, and is able to sometimes make others turn on themselves. She is also very persistent and will not give up or in so easily! Which does portray her as a hard-worker in a way. She is the type to go all in and face any problem head-on. She is head-strong and isn't afraid of the consequences of her actions. She is very competitive and will not back down without a fight. Mai has quite the list of flaws. She knows she is not perfect, actually she believes to be far from it. She knows her flaws and isn't afraid to admit to them. Truthfully, she may like her flaws better than her good points. She means that they even out one another, so she does like her flaws. Her flaws make her who she is, and if no one had flaws then it would be a boring existence in a way. Since everyone would be too..."perfect." Perfection is only a word, nothing is really considered "perfect," no one is "perfect," and she hates those that act like they are. Besides being a prankster and sarcastic, she also doesn't show much emotion and mostly acts neutral around others, except those she is close with. But, she can also be very devious and come up with the craziest and evilest[?] plans. She is also EXTREMELY dense when it comes to love or anything related to it. She has never "liked" someone before and doesn't know when a guy likes her. Someone could be waving a sign spelling out "I LOVE YOU" right in front of her face and she would either be confused or not notice it all together.

She is very loving towards her mother and step-father, although she hated her step-father in the beginning she soon warmed up to him. Love Interest: Choi 'Zelo' Junhong (BAP)

Personality: he is energetic and a happy-go-lucky kind of guy. He is majorly kind and sort of innocent, not really the kind of guy to know "gross stuff" that the older members would know, and when someone does mention it, he starts to become very embarrassed. He is kind and friendly, but Mai really makes no effort to try and be friendly with the guy.

How did they meet: They met at TS entertainment, of course, when Mai was just practicing by herself in the dance practice studio. Junhong happened to pass by the practice room and heard music plaing. He peeked in the room only to see a girl, Mai, working very hard on her dancing. When Mai seemed to be done and was packing up, Junhong went in and started complimenting her dancing, she just looked at him. She replied with and uninterested "Thanks" and left before he could say anything else.

How they behave around each other: They are not on the best of terms. They are more than aquaintances, yet less than friends, somewhere in between. They know one another, of course, but Mai rarely makes an effort to talk to him. He really tries to be her friend, but her constant ignorance to his actions sometimes just makes him glum or annoyed. He would even go up to talk to her sometimes, but she would just ignore his presence and sometimes just play it off as though she is doing something else. He even tried to do some skinship with her, since that seems to work on the others, but in the end he just ends up getting hurt.

Who falls first?: Surprisingly, really it is Zelo that falls first, upon their first encounter when he saw how hard-working and passionate she was in dancing. He really liked her smile when she finally got the moves down, it made him feel happy as well just seeing her smile. But, Mai secretly liked the guy as well when he complimented her on her dancing, of course her brain denied it while her heart accepted it. But, the dense Mai would follow her brain instead of her beating heart and just deny the fact the she truly likes the guy and how sweet he was.

How did they meet: They met at Music Bank, it was the first time that he saw her perform and thought she wasn't bad. When they were done performing, L. Joe took the initiative to walk up and talk to her, but when he said hi, she just nodded towards him and gave a little smile; one that is her stage smiile, not a real one, not like the one she showed when truly feeling happy. He just shook it off and tried to strike a conversation with her, but she just said she had to go and left without saying anything else.

Who falls first?: L. Joe is actually one to surprisingly falls first. He grew to like her when he saw her perform for the first time and see how passinate she was in what she does and how happy she seemed in performing. Her happiness seemed to be effective, and he couldn't help just msile as well.

How long did she train: 3 years

Trainee life: She was one of those trainees that NEVER got the practice down on the first try. So she also had to work as hard as well just trying to keep going and get it down flat. She would sometimes over work herself and easily gain fevers and faint at times, her immune system was low and she didn't eat much, just trained. Her trainee years were tough, but she learned to fight through it, knowing that someday it would be all worth it.

How they were accepted: Youtube video - Mai has only two or so internet accounts, and having a YouTube channel is one of them. Mai always likes to post up dances of free-styling or covering artists like BoA or Minzy, sometimes even guy dances like her brother JongUp. She would sometimes do freestyling raps or cover of raps and post up the video. She got lots of hate of course, but she was lucky enough to have some music industries check out her videos, believing she wasn't horrible for an amateur but thought she may need some practice. TS entertainment happened to be one of those industries that saw her videos, and not only because they knew that she was the step-sister of Jongup, but because she seemed to have grown a LITTLE popular with her videos.

1. Who is your ideal type?:  Ideal type? Well, I'll share a little secret with you, ne? I have never actually, gone out with someone. So, truthfully, I wouldn't know what my ideal type is >< sorry~ But, I guess if I were to choose, I guess a guy that I can be myself around and loves me for me, with my flaws and all my troubles. Oh! Sorry for ranting a little...

2. Who are you closest to in the group?: I would probably say the other dancer and maybe the rapper. I guess it is because I can share the same interests with them and they would know how I feel as well ^^

3. If you weren't an idol right now, what would you be doing?: I would still be going to school, of course. I would also continue to make YouTube videos in my free time, but if you are talking about occupation wise, then I would really enjoy doing something of the arts. Whether it be dancing or visual art such as painting, I do not mind. But as long as I am doing something that I love and will never regret, then i will have no issues ^^
