Don't be nice and lend something to others... a lesson I learnt from myself . Any help??
I'm going nuts. And getting so pissed right now!!
Two years ago I lent my history books for a girl who was studying with my best friend.. Not only she passed the year and didn't contact me to give it back as my best friend didn't even take care of it (since she was the one who requested it she should do it at least). It's not as if I didn't know the girl, but I didn't trust her that much either... So it was 4 books and a exercise book. I lent it and were able to get it back just in December 2012. How? That's the funny thing.
After I called her so many times and she posponed it for random reasons... we finally decided to meet not before she asked me why would I need those books LOL Can you believe that? They were mine in the first place. She already had it in the attic, can you believe that????
So, moving on. We decided to meet on the commercial centre at 7pm in front of FNAC. I came purposely there from my college and waited for siecles. She didn't even pick up her phone! It was turned off!! I waited there until 7:30 pm and was about to call my best friend to ask her for the girl's mother number (since she could be on her mother shop nearby) my best friends appeared there, they were shopping as well... that was my salvation. Basically we went to her mother shop near the commercial centre and what did we find..? The books but no girl!! That damn girl was taking a walk in the commercial center, didn't take the books nor went to the agreed place. I got so mad but the mother apologized and it was okay... until I found out that two books were missing T.T Even if they were less importante they were still mine... I got so mad at her, I texted her a lot of things and even said I wanted the rest back.
You know what she did? She called me saying I shouldn't be mad, that it wasn't her fault that her phone was turned off, that she had the books in the car to deliver me, etc. WTF gurl. You didn't appear on the right place even thought you were playing around there and left the books with your mother!!
Then she said she was going to look for the rest of it but.. nothing. No more calls after that. I honestly gave up. After that I didn't lend anything more to others...
But the WORST came after.. At the same time I had lent another book for a friend of mine to study Maths. She's a friend of a very good friend/classmate of mine, so I did it... but now they don't talk anymore and she kind of disappeared... and they don't want to give me her phone number!! I want my book back but she doesn't loggin on facebook since February and I have no other contacts. Her old friends (who are also my friends, they stopped talking to her after a fight) pretend they don't hear me when I ask them for her number, today I even messaged my old best-friend and she didn't reply...
I sent her an email, let's see if she sees it at least.
Gosh, this is insane. If they don't want to give me her number then contact her themselves, . Why am I the one who's going to be responsible for it?
I think my only choice is trying to see if she still works in PINGO DOCE, a shopping center near my house... but i don't know her horary and I'm sure she'll try to ignore me because she can't talk with clients there..
What do I do? Any ideas?
