> Born and raised in Phuket, Thailand. Soohyun lived with her mother, father and their house keeper Ms Zhang - who was actually Chinese-American. Before she started school, Soohyun was usually found with Ms Zhang, following the old lady around the house and sometimes helping her with her work. From an early age, Soohyun started to learn how to speak Chinese from Ms Zhang, while her mother and father taught her Thai, English and Korean.
When she was old enough to start school, Soohyun already knew the basics of Chinese and Korean - going on to become fluent in English and Thai. All through her schooling years, Soohyun was top of her class until her last year of middle school, when her family (including Ms Zhang) packed up and moved to Korea. It was then, that Soohyun decided to take up dancing and singing lessons again and auditioned for multiple entertainment companies.
