cube ent; soohyun stared off as a trainee for cube ent, but was only in the company for a year before being transferred over to pledis.

Pledis ent; becoming a pledis trainee at 15, soohyun was told that she'd be a backup dancer until she was at least 19. then with no warning, her manager decided to ask the ceo to debut her with the new girl group.

BACKGROUND:

born and raised in phuket, thailand. soohyun lived with her mother, father and their house keeper - Ms zhang, who was actually chinese. before she started school, soohyun was usually found with ms zhang, following the old lady around the house and sometimes helping her with her work.

from an early age, soohyun started to learn how to speak chinese from ms zhang, while her mother and father taught her thai and korean. when she was old enough to start school, soohyun already knew the basics of chinese, korean and up to 2nd year thai.

all through her schooling years until her last year of middle school, soohyun achieved good grades and made lots of friends in thailand. Then, due to her father's work - the family (including ms Zhang), packed up and moved to korea. It was then that soohyun thought that her performing skills could be useful and she auditioned for three companies.
