►► Appearance: Her hair is typically straightened and she never looks unkempt. There's a scar on her right upper arm; both of her ear lobes are pierced twice, her right eyebrow is pierced with a silver stud; she has a fairy tattoo on her right shoulder and a fox tattoo on her left forearm; and she will always wear the necklace her love plans on giving her for their anniversary.

►► Traits:friendly, articulate, easy to get along with, and open-minded, but she's also vague and secretive and maybe even a little sadistic...
►► Personality:She's very amicable and has an unassuming air about her. There's something that's very trustworthy about the innocence in her face. She always seems to know what to say and when to say it. She's creative and quirky and is usually very fun to be around. She's also a really good listener and gives great advice on all sorts of problems. It seems like she never loses her temper no matter how frustrating a customer may be. She's also extremely fair and is empathetic. If she's keeping a secret (and she has many) then, depending on its importance, it will take a lot and I mean a LOT to get it out of her. She always follows through, never going back on her word.

All that being said, there's also a darker side to her. She's much more intelligent than she seems. She knows a lot about people she's never spoken to and is always on the up-and-up about what happens around town (sometimes before it even happens). She's also quite shrewd and can be very manipulative and intimidating when she feels she must. She never lies, but she doesn't always tell the whole truth either, and has been known to speak in riddles. She usually never does anything for someone without expecting to get something from them in return. You can never tell what she's thinking. She doesn't feel the need to censor herself (but will speak lower if there are children around). She's good at covering her emotions. On the [very] rare instances that she does get mad, you'll want to vacate the vicinity. Immediately. She laughs when she's mad, but it's different from her jovial chuckles. No, that laugh is much darker.
►► Background:She and her twin was born in Chicago, Illinois and spent the first twelve years of their lives there, but moved to Japan when they were thirteen to be raised by their uncle/step-father's family after he and her mom got married. In Chicago Tien learned the ways of the streets and advised her sister accordingly as she was younger and slower on the draw. Tien realized that she had to be in the know to know where was safe at which parts of the day and where to be when they weren't. For that she needed to learn how to watch and listen. Tien's biological father died in the line of duty when Tien was eleven (he was a police officer), and neither Tien nor her sister were the same after that though it hit Tien the hardest. But her uncle was able to win her mother's heart a year afterward and they got married. Tien likes him. In Japan the area her grandmother lived in (which was were her family let her stay by her choice) wasn't much better and the rules hadn't changed much either. She's been in a few fights and has won most of them--the ones she lost were usually because her opponent had a weapon stashed somewhere (hence the scar on her shoulder). She started helping around the shop when she was fifteen and took over the business when she was eighteen. Her grandmother taught her all she needed to know in order to run the shop and she has excelled wonderfully. Her classes were all advanced but she never had the top marks in school. This wasn't because she couldn't reach them, but more because she didn't want to bring attention to herself. Because of the family business it could be troublesome if everyone knows who she is. It's for that same reason that she only has a couple of close friends. Her sister took a different path.

►► Name:Shizuo Heiwajima
►► Occupation:  he's hired muscle/body guard/ bounty hunter -w-
►► Personality & Relationship:he's typically pretty quiet. His intimidating aura usually frightens people off so he's typically a loner. He has way more friends than enemies. He has a very short temper when dealing with people, and yet is patient. He's not very good at expressing how he feels, so he prefers to show rather than tell.  His strength may be for hire, but he does have morals and is extremely loyal. He's also surprisingly quick-witted and knowledgeable. He too knows how to sit back, watch, and listen. They will meet when he stops by her shop to ask about one of her regular customers who has a bounty over his head. He never quite gets to ask the question because he finds himself unable to articulate it in her presence. (Luckily the guy in question shows up and this happens, much to Tien's amusement lol). He visits the shop more and more often and eventually decides he wants to help guard the place and he moves in with her. Most are surprised to find that they're together because they don't show it. Their relationship is really intimate however. He'll whisper something that makes her smile as he walks by or she'll "unintentionally" rub against him as they walk throught the door at the same time. They don't even have to say anything to each other. They can interpret the other's needs (ual or otherwise... ;3) with their body language and eye gaze. 

►► Backup + occupation:Izaya Orihara, the hacker/information broker.
►► Personality: he too is kept on the up-and-up about the goings on around town. His typical personality is very similar to Tien's rarely seen dark side. The side of him that's never seen is the one he will show Tien. The caring, playful side. They will meet when he visits her shop to see the person who has been "competing" with him for local information. He's very shocked to find out who she is. Unlike Shizuo, he's very touchy feely, sometimes going so far as to soundly make out with her in the middle of a business dealing.

Due to his job, he's also always looking for loopholes and has taught his daughter to do the same. At work his nickname is the Shark because he has a 90% success rate. He's very polite and respectful even toward the people he doesn't like. He's not at home a lot because of work, but he tries to always make room for family.

►► Personality + Relationship: Her mother is very dramatic and eccentric which is good because her acting career (for whatever reason) really hit off after they moved to Japan. She's a determined woman and very focused on her goals. She's usually pretty busy performing and one ever knows when she'll pop up, but when she does she bears gifts. She's thoughtful and considerate.

►► Personality + Relationship: It's obvious who's their parents' favorite is and Tien is fine with that. Taima is the opposite from Tien in that she always shoots for above and beyond though she's in all regular classes. Taima is a happy-go-lucky, out-going girl who's very naive when it comes to most things. Her innocent personality makes her seem like everyone's younger sister. She's easily hurt and sometimes says things without thinking.

►► Friends:
► Alani | 20 | Student | bestfriends  (State if friends, not-so-friends, bestfriends. To this point, I'm only allowing three. A close friend included. Or bestfriend. Whatever. It's because everyone will be interacting some way or another and be friends... so, yeah.)
►► Personality + Relationship: she knows of Tien's mystical ways, but doesn't know how Tien comes by her information. She forced herself to become Tien's friend somewhat against Tien's will by visitng all of the time and constantly bothering her about it, but things have worked out.

►► Personality + Relationship: They got to know each other because he tutors Taima. He's a kind, shy person who has a big heart. He may have started to develop feelings for Tien, but he never gets the guts to confess and by the time Tien meets Shizuo/Izaya it's too late. He's forgiving and considerate and caring. ░“Call me!”
