In case you didn't hear, the name's Kurosawa Reira, but you can just call me Layla! Currently 22 & have been screwing up this world since June 19th. B+ runs through my veins. My height and weight?

[ Extra ] Reira has a cherry blossom tattoo on her back in commemoration of her grandmother who was a regular attendee for Kyoto's annual Sakura Matsuri; unfortunately, the elderly woman passed away two years ago of old age, prompting Reira to engrave the remembrance of the woman onto skin. Each of her ears are pierced, double lobe.

[ Style ] Reira's dress is very posh and chic; her wardrobe correlates impressively, and quite accurately, wth her own personality. She'll often be found sporting her signature pencil skirts and high-waisted trousers; if she's feeling a bit more daring, she'll probaby throw on a leather jacket or maybe some stilettos. It's difficult for Reira to stray from her poised look, and it isn't a typical occurrence to find her wearing anything that may tarnish her cool and elegant charm — because after all, you know what they say: boys like , men like class. and it's quite evident that reira is looking for a man in her life.

[ Personality ] If there's anything more accurate about how her blood type corrlates with her personality, it's her sense of practicality. Reira plays her life in a very well-balanced manner; she can be thoughtful and sensitive, yet incorporate her ambition through leadership qualities. She needs routine, as she is very focused and goal-oriented though not to the extent as to strive for impossibilities. Reira is a realistic person; she will shoot down an ideal in a second if it goes against her realist's perspective. This characteristic furthermore accentuates her capriciously blunt behavior as well. Just as all woman should be, Reira is sharp-tongued; she knows how to think and care for herself in her addition to her independent nature that has been instilled since birth.
But because she is an individualist and follows her own sets of regulations, Reira has the tenency to come off as intimidating. She can also come off as withdrawn or cold because of this uncooperative nature; if anything, it is also because Reira focuses more on her thoughts than her feelings. It's a peculiar feat of hers: she chooses reason and logic over emotions. She has polished this practice of logic for so long over the years that she's almost lost faith in her own emotions and heart. She's constantly switching back and forth from monotonous or looking half-pissed half the time. It's hard to approach Reira, therefore she has only a select few friends.

Whether it's over a shot of tequila or a smooth champagne, over the blaring jazz or pounding dubsteb, as long as Daehyun is around, Reira will find herself to have a good time.»

[ Feelings About Job ] There's nothing to be ashamed of working in a club. It's a nice experience; there's probably a lot of to endure, but it's rather exciting. What else could be more great about xeul? I love pouring drinks, I love satisfying people's alcoholic needs, I like drinking myself; I can't honestly say if my dad would hate or love the idea, and that makes me want to work here all the more. Quite daring, isn't it? It adds a kick to the boring part of life, truly.
[ Lifestyle ] I live downtown, close to my school. Boring, really. It's really boring and that's probably why I decided to take up a bartender's job. I wake up, go to school, do work, more work, come home, do homework probably, wash up, sleep — isn't it tedious? I'm such a boring person, really so I don't know how I even get around socially. But being a student is hard, too. My parents haven't been sending me my funds, I don't know why I took up International Studies; wow, I need color.
[ Anything Else ] The only thing that matters is that Reira's father was a drunkard. He was a bartender before he had to settle down, and obviously Reira is just living the legacy. But she knows what she's doing. She was brought up normally, just your typical, neighborhood kid. But she has had practice: Cosmopolitan, Blue Hawaiian, Long Island Iced Tea, Cuba Libre — she was an apprentice, though now Reira is ballin' her game, ready to become one of the masters.

[ Love Interest ] Kim Jongin
[ Personality Traits ] attentive, awkward (awk hawk), fidgety, naive for his age, two-faced
It's evident that Jongin is attractive. He looks smooth, probably comes off suave if he practices hard enough. But it's a fluke. Jongin, the leux bodyguard is a freaking awkward little kid. He's actually naive for his age, and though his innocence may be a bit tarnished because of the exposure of his work, there is still bouts of obliviousness that shines through the cracks. The one thing that is he has to keep up two faces: Kai and Jongin, as in: Kai the bodyguard, and Jongin the student. It's a bit two-faced, but it also just takes patience to know he's a good kid.
[ Status ] Obviously single, and trying hard – evidently not hard enough, mind you – not to let that xeul bartender he's not as interested as he is.
[ Relationship ] They don't talk much. Reira has definitely noticed Jongin; in fact, he was the first one she noticed because damn, that boy is fine. And Jongin has definitely noticed Reira; it's not everyday he sees a foreigner give him the evil eye (and for no reason at that? hashtag rood). For now, it's just secretive glimpses from the entrance and patient waiting from behind the bar counter. After Jongin's shift, though, he definitely does visit Reira. He's a regular visitor, though he only orders a water; with a lemon slice if it's a whimsical day for him. There would be bouts of awkward silence aside from "So how was your day?" and "Decent, you?". They're stupid, in all honesty. There's a wanted connection, but they're just waiting for the other to make a move, in fear that they will it up themselves. Age isn't the problem. Neither of the two care about age. It's this awkward barrier that each of the two have subconsciousy built around themselves over the years — for Reira, it's her alleged coldness, and Jongin his bashfulness.
Go figure.
[ Ideal 1st Date ]
Making a meal together at Reira's apartment (since Jongin claims his shared apartment with Sehun is absolutely a no-go; man cave, she presumes). They'll probably make something cheesy and cliche like spaghetti, and crash on the couch at the end of the night together after watching lame re-runs of Running Man or We Got Married.
An inncent trip to a drive-in theater where they're probably showing some classic movie like Breakfast at Tiffany's. Innocent; no making out, no . Reira will probably throw in a peck at most, maybe hold hands with Jongin, but the date will solely be about getting to know the kid more; it'll be about establishing a comfort zone with the other, and it will be about quoting the classics and throwing popcorn at the couples making out in other cars.
[ Cute Facts ] Jongin has always dreamed of dating and marrying an older girl (so she can take care of him). Don't believe what you see; looks are deceiving so truth is: this suave, sauntering playboy is actually an awkward that has never dated before. The entrance to leux right next to xeul's; Jongin will often sneak a peek through the open doors when a customer strolls in because even the slightest glimpse he catches of Reira will make his night worthwhile. He thinks his aegyo works on Reira (ha, what a good kid). He calls her noona.
[ Back Up ] Luhan, Lee Sungyeol

[ Personality Traits ] narcississtic, egotistical, honest, narrow-minded, though loyal (with a select few, of course)
[ Rivalry ] Work — "With a face like mine, I could get way more tips than you! A two-hundred dollar difference!"
[ Relationship ] They couldn't get more annoying. Bickering back and forth, seriously; they could rival with a pair of babies. If they're not nagging at each other like eight-year olds, they're tearing each other's egos apart like high school girls. It's obvious that they don't get along, but it's also evident that without one another, their lives would be boring. The arguments keep the flare going around the bar, whether it involves them spraying each other with tonic or tossing ice cubes at each other, there is not a quiet moment between the two.
[ Why? ] Luhan was the absolute best. Top of the line; he was the face. Luhan was the ulzzang bartender that got the highest tips. Everybody knew Luhan as the most handsome deer-prince around. But one day — and one day is all it takes — Reira is hired, and he loses his title. Her foreigner's exterior draws in the male crowd, obviously overpowering the female population of the bar area within moments. The prince becomes forgotten unless there is a stray gay customer here or there, and then Reira the foreign ice queen becomes a new trend (though Luhan would rather call it a fad than a trend). Nobody replaces Luhan, or says his ego. Cue the rivalry because Luhan is not giving up his ulzzang title for an outsider.

*Pssh, I'm not n e r v o u s... I'm just shaky.
Q: What makes you different from everyone else applying?
A: I'm goal-oriented; simple goals, long-term goals, I always set expectations for myself. I'm probably the hardest on my own self too, so it'll save you the troubling of beating my if I screw up. I'm a pious realist (not really), so I'm pretty practical. I know what I can take on and what I can't; you won't find me taking on the impossible often. Has anybody else said the same thing? That they're diligent and virtuous, and that they will go for their dreams and goals no matter what the cost? That they won't let anything in sight with a goal to accomplish? I bet you that you've gotten the alleged problem solvers and pacifists, too, claiming they can handle anything thrown at them. I scoff at them.
I'm not going to promise anything rash. I can't promise that I'll create the coolest drinks, or assist you in morphing xeul and leux to be the hottest clubs in seoul; I'm sure as hell not going to promise you that it's going to run perfectly with me. But I can promise you that I will try my best in all aspects of the work; xeul will become a passion, and I can at least promise my dedication. There's nothing I need to point out exclusively extraordinary about me; hire me to find out. Maybe then I'll be able to promise you far-fetched ideals.
Q: Can you be a professional when you're dealing with drunk cosumers or annoying ones?
A: Isn't that a bartender's job anyways (though I'm sure I would rather shove 'em off to Luhan)? I don't see why not. My dad was a drunk, so I probably have experience in that. But it wouldn't be a tough job. If they don't listen to a warning the first time, xeul is flocked with securities to wave over; cops are always an option, so no worries. Top of the game, I'll be there.
Q: Why are you shaking?
A: Trust me, it's the excitement.

[ Scene Requests ]
A bar fight occurs in xeul; it's so big that some of the leux bouncers have to be called in. Of course Jongin comes along, and though the situation is appropriately handled, albeit rather haphazardly, Jongin does not come out unwounded. He has a bad cut across his cheek and whoop-dee-cue-the-cliche, Reira cleans it up for him.
The bar is close to closing time and Reira is pretty sure Jongin and the rest of her friends have gone home. She decides to stay back with Yixing to have a whiskey or two. She's slightly tipsy but she manages to make it out of the building when she finally decides it's time to go home. Surprise surprise, she finds Jongin lingering at the entrance, freezing his off in the cool night. He fumbles with his words, but ends up blurting that he wanted to go inside to say hi to her, but he was unsure whether or not it was still a busy time for her; so he decided to wait till she came out.
"I just wanted to say hey, and thanks for patching up my cheek the other day. But there were still some cars in the parking lot so I figured it was busy and didn't want to disturb you," he told her.
"So you decided to wait out here instead of at a stool?" she reciprocates dubiously.
"Taking a stool would've meant taking up space; the space is for customers, not me."
Reira figures Jongin is a stupid kid, but at least it's the considerate and good stupid.
Jongin thinks it's time for them to start referring each other by first name (goodbye noona, hello Reira).
Reira accidentally calls Jongin cute when asked about the said bouncer by Hyorin. Let's just say word gets out and xeul isn't as peaceful, whatnot with noisy Daehyun and nosy Luhan getting up in her love life.
