I haven't been this excited to write in a long time. I think it's because I've finally stopped stressing over what I think other people want to read and am just writing what I want to write. Not that the opinion of others doesn't mean anything to me...far from it. But the stress of trying to please everyone (which will never ever happen, let's face it) was killing the joy of writing for me. Spirit Wars is the first story in a long time I've actually enjoyed writing, and I can't focus on anything else because I keep getting random plot bunnies at all times of the day.

Going to visit some friends and family 8 hours away tomorrow, which means 8 hours there and back in which to write. Let's hope my laptop doesn't die, because I'll be busy writing for sure!

So far I've got 5 Spirit Wars banners done, because I'm slightly obsessed with pretty graphics. Each banner has 4 minor characters in it, which means 20 minor characters so far. I don't know how many there'll be total, but some are obviously going to be more important than others. But it's all to give the impression of a massive 'tournament', because the spirit battles in a way have become that. More on that later in future updates.

I wish I felt more comfortable writing girl groups. Only two girls so far and so many guys. orz.

Next update will maybe be next Tuesday or Wednesday. I should be waiting a week between updates, but dammit I'm having too much fun right now.
