Do I Have Cancer?!??!

I'm freaking out and oh my God what if i really do?!?! 

You can go ahead and laugh at me if it turns out i'm wrong but im freaked out right now! 

There's this dark line on my nail and it's really worrying me. When I asked my mom if it was something we should worry about she told me no, that it was just because my nail was stained from all the nail polish i wear.

and that could be the case, but hat it she's wrong? 

We had this conversation like 2 weeks ago (she told me it would go away once that part of my nail grew out), but my nails grow really fast, and it hasn't moved at all.

it legit covers half my nail, and it's not really dark like in most cases, but it's still dark enough to see, and it dissapears into the nailbed. and like i said, it should have grown  out at least some, but it hasn't one bit!

What do i do?!?!?

Should i be worried about this???!!!

Help me!!!!!!!!!

did you by any chance hit your nails? there are instances that it would take longer for those lines to be gone. i have that sometimes, it may be caused by certain traumas, or you have just some minor health problems. as long as it does not lost it's 'feelings' then there's no problem at all. can you take a picture of it?

black lines on the nails can appear from the lack of calsum or i mean healthy food u need to watch out what u eat and i advive u should check out a dr i hv been suffering from food disorder and i have this black lones and weak nails ... Take care of ur nails more dont use so much nail polish let them relax and breath ... And remeber healthy food no fast food ... Hope it helps :)

Maybe its bruised or its a infection. Go schedule an appointment for a doctor.

I'm no doctor but not even gonna lie I got scared when I saw the name of your post. I'm pretty sure that it's nothing too serious so yeah

One of my friends has the exact same thing and he's apparently had it for several years (at least four I think). Does it look like someone drew a pencil line right on your nail? If it does, that's what his looks like.
He's in good health- if it was cancer, things would have progressed by now.
His also disappears into the nail bed and doesn't grow out with his nail. It's just kind of there haha
This seems to be quite a common thing actually and is usually not something to worry about. Sometimes, the skin pigmentation does change for one reason or another.
If you are concerned about it, then I suggest that you go to a dermatologist. Given that you are probably a young person, it is not likely that you have cancer.
Above all, don't go on the internet and scare yourself. There is a reason why we are not all doctors and it is best to let a doctor handle the situation instead of making yourself sick with worry over the matter :)
I think I know exactly what you're talking about and it doesn't seem to be anything to be worried about. Just get it checked out, but don't worry too much ^^

It's probably an infection or some kind of blood blister indeed. Just go to a doctor, honey. Don't worry.

I've had plenty of those things underneath my nail. Like, it's fine.

Don't look things up online, they tell you the weirdest things.

See a doctor but don't panic. Chances are high you have a fungal infection and that is NOT life threatening. Bathing it in vinegar will help if it is fungal and eating yogurt should help it too.

It's probably not cancer however it could be a sign of having a disease or infection. or it could be just an injury
Maybe your should do some research online to see if theres a match.
Or perhaps go to the doctor if it doesn't go away.

Dont be worried! Have you hit your hand really hard against a surface or have gotten your finger caught under something? It could be a blood blister, and those go away after a while, I've had them before, its nothing bad!
