Her mother, Shin Juna, and her father, Lie Henxing, are a very active and loving couple in Gyeonggi province. As she was growing up, her parents noted her intelligence and reasoning. They also noted that she was using this ability to manipulate the people around her. They wondered why in a drop of a hat, she stopped talking at all. Yue was outcasted. She was a very judging person and She's learned to use English to her advantage, manipulating, insulting—she was quite the brat before. Her father, a writer and an English professor in Seoul university, loved her for who she was. Yue understood. Yue have always understood. She knows that life can't be all that good, especially with the divorce of her father and her mother. She did everything she could to lighten the burden on her father's baggage because she knows that her father was the only one she has now. She realized that at a young age, her mother will never support her and she couldn't burden her father, so she grew to be independent, enrolling herself, paying half of her tuition, getting a job and applying for scholarship. Yue met han ahri when she was in her first year of college. Yue was quite the loner in her block, but it was a choice. She never liked ahri that much, she judged. She seemed like the typical girl who can't keep herself off yue's personal space. Once, her blockmates tried to get in her business (and personal space) and she simply panicked. It made Yue break down in public. ahri, a highly persistent person, covered her shaking form and kept her on her toes. From then on, Yue's admiration for her was slowly built and she followed ahri's every whim, trying to make all her plans possible. Especially Indie Pop. Kris is amused and impressed that when he and Yue went out, he snickered and congratulated her in her speech. She smirks and says, "Well, whatever it takes, right?" They debate, they argue about the smallest things and they battle with witts. Yue enjoyed every bit and fell in love in a painstakingly slow pace. And yes, that's part of the reason why she was outcasted. The main reason was she always wanted to be superior, to be the person who is above everyone else.
