I would say that review shops are a good place to go. They have a recommendation section for those fics who scored high in their reviews. Another place to look for, especially if you are interested in a particular group only, are contest fics. Check out the contest entries, coz chances are the participants spent extra time and effort, polishing their entries. Once you find a good writer, be sure to check her other stories. There is bound to be at least one more story that would suit your taste.

I know most of you don't like the idea of award fics or how it is managed, but they are good sources of recommended fics. Check out their masterlist. Of course, it is not a perfect list but you'll find good ones in there as well.

But what I normally do is click on the specific tag I like, then when the results come up, I browse through the tags used and decide whether the title sounds interesting enough for me to click it. Sometimes, you could see a portion of the description. I use that to judge the fic as well, without clicking it.

My preferences: simple titles, simple descriptions in normal font size (preferably, black) that should not give away too much of the story, no character profiles in the foreword

But this is just the screening stage, I would still read the first few chapters to check for consistency - no switching of povs, no multiple first person povs (at least two in a chapter; or separate them in chapters; but if you start with first pov of female character, I prefer to read it in her first pov all throughout), verb tense...

Even if the storyline is interesting, but if I can't read it without editing every sentence, I won't force myself to continue. Hehe. I am not looking for perfect. I can live with a few mechanical errors here and there but not with characters I can't relate to :)

It really depends on personal taste but reccommendation fics are a good source to go from

What I do is select the tag that I like, for example, Daehyun, then I would look in the views section. Then I would glance at the tags until I find one that I like :)
Or else, I would check out a recommendation/advertisement shop. You get plenty of fics there and you barely have to even browse!

Depending. Mostly tags in the story are quite useful.
1. Pick the genre that you like, for example comedy.

Then you got into the latest, newest, oldest etc section of comedy.

But if you want to be specific, think about groups that you like, for example Block B.

Search the those two thing, after you did.

3. Read the discription, does it get your attention, is this the story you want to subsribe.

+ As author self, don't make the authors irritated of subscribe and unsubscribe after it.
++ Other tip, if you aren't sure, just bookmark it and read it if you like it.

Of course, their are many ways, it's jusr hard to find, specific the things you like. My opinion that's how I search and it's really useful for me ^^
