happy 5th anniversary SHINee! from your adorable and shy 'Replay' days, to Michael Jackson feat. Amigo and Love like Oxygen, to Hello Baby and 'Ring ding Dong', with the multi colored hair (yes, i'm talking to you, dino), with Lucifer passing by with the shaved hair and the unforgettable dance. And now, here we are, passing through the unfathomable 'Sherlock' era, to 'Dream Girl' and 'Why so Serious'. and who could forget bright and aegyo flower boy SHINee in Hello?  and even then, those are just a handful of the dozens upon dozens of beautiful songs that albeit are all different in style and feel, all end up sounding like something only our five shining boys could pull off that well. you guys never disappoint me, and i'm so happy i was able to stumble upon sherlock.

it was thanks to that video that i began to learn more about kpop, and learned to actually like it (lol), unlike what i had said in the past, determined not to like anything korean, since my mom watched korean dramas and...yeah, it's a long story.

and though i'm positive you guys will never see this, god, i'll bet money you guys will never lay your eyes upon this blog post, but nevertheless, i want to thank you. SHINee, all of your eras and all of your different styles introduced me to what good music truly was. it doesn't take a specific language to like music, nor does it take a specific style (sometimes). all it takes is five shining boys, who work harder than any other group, and have so much talent, it's not even funny.

onew, the chicken tofu of the group: your voice is distinctive, and without even thinking twice, i can pinpoint your voice, and know it's yours. you're such a dork, and i love your smile, as well as your laugh. i like how you embrace your voice cracks and your stumbles; you've generated an entire condition all by yourself. i honestly think your the funniest in all of SHINee, since you don't actually TRY to be funny. it's just part of being lee jinki. stay carefree and adorkable! honestly, you are the most talented member in SHINee, with your donald duck imitations, and your impersonations and just everything that you do. not to mention your obvious improvement in dancing, as well as in voice management. lol what i mean by that is that your voice stopped cracking as much as it did during the lucifer era haha. though, honestly, i wouldn't mind a voice crack here and there. it's all what makes you, you. and i'm so grateful to have you as SHINee's leader; SHINee needs you.

jonghyun, my dino, no, our dino, your voice is just...beyond amazing. there's so much depth to it, so much emotion and so much power, that i can't help but want to cry. and your dancing isn't too shabby either c; nah, i'm kidding. i love your sense of humor, and i hope your better now from that accident ♡ i still don't really understand where 'bling bling jonghyun' came from, since in my eyes, you are (and always will be) jonghyun the dorky puppy. oh, and by the way, i still want to meet your dog. and though you didn't improve vocally wise (well, you did, but hell, your voice was good to start with), you matured in so many other areas. your dancing improved by so much, and just everything you do, it's so obvious that you've matured and is no longer that cutie boy who was slightly shy and extremely nervous. and i'm so proud of you, as a vocalist, as a dancer, and as a person. haha and thanks for openly admitting your use of heel inserters. 

key, the perfect triple threat. seriously man, stop being so perfect. singing, dancing, face, hell, your personality even scream perfect. thank you for staying so true to yourself, unlike many other idols, who keep a mask on in hopes of keeping themselves seen as the "sweetest oppars around!!!!1!" yeah, no. oh, and don't be surprised if your closet disappears one day. i think your english is amazing, and i just want to take a moment to emphasize how much you've grown, singing wise. i know you probably get this alot (along with minho and taemin), but it's true. all of that hardwork, blood, sweat, and tears, is starting to pay off, and i'm still in awe when i hear your voice. key, you are the rock to the group, or better yet, the key to the SHINee World's lock. You may nag a lot, but your decision making skills are unlike any other, and you're also one of the coolest people i could ever want to know.

minho, the real visual (though they're all freaking good looking like omg) of this beloved ot5 c: ok, i'll be completely honest, when i first became a SHINee fan, i didn't really like you. i thought that choi minho was useless. but after i watched some more videos, and listened to some more songs, i realized that choi minho wasn't useless, that choi minho wrote the raps, sang the harmonizations, and improved tenfolds each and every comeback. i'm so proud of you, and though soccer isn't really my thing, MANCHESTER UNITED ALL THE WAY WOOT. your competitive nature is actually quite similar to mine, so there's a connection there i suppose haha. you and your charismatic ways are what light up the SHINee stage, and bring energy and hardwork and just deliver each and every performance in a flawless way that only SHINee can do.

ah, taemin, the mushroom head who suddenely gained manliness in the past year. seriously, what the hell happened to our baby? haha, i'm kidding, i'm esctatic to see you all grown up and talented and...god just stop being so perfect, okay? just like minho, i didn't think much of you. yeah, i had major props to you as a dancer, so that gave you some points, but it wasn't until later when i realized your true singing potential. and you lived up to that potential. SM took a huge risk with you, and i'm so glad they did. also, just date krystal already! ♡ #taestal. in my opinion, you have the brightest future in all of SHINee, taemin, so take this time wisely, ok? haha, and though you may have grown up already and have matured so much from the years before, i don't think any shawol will ever forget nor want to forget those days when you were just the flower boy mushroom kid who loved to dance.

watching you all grow and mature, getting to see those dorky moments, learning to love and support such a hardworking and talented group — it's amazing, really. and i couldn't have it any other way. i'm so so so proud to call my self a shawol, living in the SHINee world with five shining boys, no, men ♡ otp5 ∞

wow...this is a long post lol o/ but it was all worth it ♡ i'll always support SHINee, through the thick and thin, and though i can't move to Korea and stalk you guys (lol nah, just kidding. i can move to korea when i grow older), and though, eventually, SHINee will grow old and maybe even forgotten one day, these five shining boys will forever be in my heart, as legends and as role models.
