nickname :
Koi Fish / Koi ↷ When they were but little children, Jongdae used to confuse Kyo Ri's name with the flat-faced pond
fish. This name is reserved for Jongdae and Jongdae only.
Kay / K ↷ Basically, Kay (or K) is a shortened version of Kyo Ri's name. Because saying all three syllables is just way
too much work for her friend's poor souls.
Renée ↷ Kyo Ri's french name.

Stylish yet fairly simple, Kyo Ri's fashion has next to no correlation to her actual persona. She doesn't like to wear
eye-blinding colors such as neon green or such, nor does she like wearing an excess of anything. Too much glitter? Uh, no.
Too much lace? This is 21st century, not the 19th century. She keeps up with the trends, but not to an overly obsessive extent.
But, it seems as if France has influenced her wardrobe choice (as it did with pretty much everything else about Kyo Ri). She
still actually is quite fond of lace, as well as other soft, feminine colors such as lavender and simple cream. Neons? Not really
something Kyo Ri likes wearing. Her clothing is always fairly sophisticated, it's not that she wears pencil skirts and blazers all
day, it's just seems to be leaning ever-so slightly to what one would see a woman in her mid to early twenties wearing rather
than a sixteen year old. Kyo Ri prefers Love 21 over Forever 21. She often just leaves her caramel brown (dyed, of course) hair
down, left alone. Her nails, often times, don't have any sort of polish coating the cuticles, but it does happen occasionally. She
owns a variety of shades; there's really no guarentee on what she plans to paint on her nails. If there's one thing Kyo Ri
cannot live without, it's her hats and sunglasses. If one were to walk in Kyo Ri's closet, they would find dozens upon dozens of
beanies, snapbacks, aviators, the list goes on. She's often seen running around with at least one of the two accessories on.
On the other hand, Kyo Ri is rarely seen with any sort of jewelry.
extras : A small dimple can be seen whenever she smiles on the left side of her face. There is a small birthmark/mole, a
freckle if you will, that is placed on the upper right corner of her right cheek, right next to her ear. Even though she's no
tattoo obsessor of any sort, she does have a small infinity symbol inked on the inside of her left wrist, small but symbolic in
more than one aspect. She's determined to live forever, to go on forever as unforgettable, unfathomable, untouchable almost.
Which is pretty much where the 'Forever Young' term was derived and inspired from. At the same time, it symbolizes...the
recklessness of a brash and slightly foolish teenager? Yeah, that too.
ㅡ turn my swagger on.
personality :
╔ Give me a second, I, I need to get my story straight ↷ First impressions really aren't everything, because if
they were, Kyo Ri would pretty much be an abandoned teenager with nothing but the clothes on her back, left to fend for
herself with that attitude of hers, alone and forever without a friend, much less a lover. It's not that she's a straight up
or anything, if anything, Kyo Ri is on that fine line of a border that separates from arrogant and blunt. She often
rubs off on the wrong way upon first meetings, since she has a tendency to make everything that comes out of
extremely straightfoward, to a point to where it's almost painful to listen to. And being the fairly pessimistic girl she is, more
times than not, it's a string of complaints about God knows what that comes tumbling out of . It's just in her nature
to be sarcastic and blunt, she doesn't like to beat around the bush. And to top this tumbling avalanche off, Kyo Ri's a very
headstrong sort of girl. She doesn't think before she says, which often results in dire consequences. You are what you are;
who is she to tell you anything different? Who does she look like, Oprah? It's not that she's actually rude, but the things
she says makes her seem that way. She's just a mix between fairly talkative and straightfoward; two things that ought to
never be mixed together, but are anyways. Of course, despite her being fairly open to most subjects, there are a few
limitations to this entire ordeal. For example, Kyo Ri abhors talking about her past, she doesn't like to think, talk, or
remember it. She'd rather leave all of that for the scrapbooks, thank you very much. And don't even get her started on love.
In the eyes of Kyo Ri, love is nothing but pure lies located up somewhere north, suburb of BS Land. She's no longer that
innocent little girl who believes in love, oh no, Kyo Ri's a big girl now, and she can handle herself without the boy drama. She
doesn't believe in all that Nicholas Spark's stuff that ought to just stay in movies anyways. Call her unimaginative, blunt,
whatever. Because honestly, Kyo Ri could care less. It's not her job to please everyone, she could seriously care less about
what others think of her. But it does make her a bit angry that people are trying to analyze her when chances are, they're
not exactly made of sunshine and kittens themselves.
╔ My friends are in the bathroom getting higher than the Empire State ↷ Considering that Kyo Ri is a blunt girl who doesn't
seem to think before she talks, it wouldn't be much of a surprise to learn that she's considered brash and headstrong. She has a
very confident nature that seems to shroud her and her actions; never does Kyo Ri ever doubt herself or her abilities. In this
aspect, it makes her seem cocky and arrogant, ignorant even. Probably because she doesn't take criticism nicely; she doesn't
need your opinion about her personal business, thank you very much. In another aspect, it makes her reckless, since she never
questions what she does (until the consequences arrive, that is. And even then, she's just trying to figure out what in the hell
the idiot next to her did to mess it all up). What can she say? Kyo Ri doesn't like to sweat the small things in life; there's so
much more to life than just stressing out about what happened in the past. If anything, she tries her best to not become one of
those uptight perfectionists who don't seem to know what the word 'life' is supposed to represent. That adrenaline pumping,
heart racing feeling is something that Kyo Ri lives for. Anything that can make her feel as if she were to live forever young, she
treasures. Instead of worrying about what others think of her and whatever else there is to worry about, Kyo Ri likes to try new
things. She loves a challenge; she's not afraid to admit that.
╔ But between the drinks and subtle things, the holes in my apologies ↷ Being confident comes with a setback. It also
makes her competitive, even over the simplest of tasks and games. She can't stand losing, it's like an unlawful beating to her
ever-growing ego. That's also why she has a tendency to blame everything on someone else; she likes to think that nothing is
actually her fault. Cursed in front of the teacher? The teacher was being unjust; Kyo Ri was merely doing the right thing by
retaliating. Fail a test? The kid next to Kyo Ri diverted her attention away from the test, thus she misread all the instructions.
Set the house on fire? The Oprah show influenced her to do such a thing. Essentially, Kyo Ri has an excuse for almost every one
of her flaws and shortcomings; instead of apologizing, Kyo Ri just yanks out one of her endless amounts of excuses and uses
them. Most people fall for it. Kyo Ri has a way with words; she can manipulate them to her advantage, whether it be to offend
one or compliment another. That's probably the reason as to why she seems so rude on first meeting. Her blunt words seem to
be more on the rude side than on the honest side, and seem to be more daunting and insulting than honest and frank (though,
again, it's on the borderline, leaning towards rude). Being confident to such an extent also makes Kyo Ri abhor apologizing to
anyone for anything. Apologizing is basically just a nicer way for begging for forgiveness, which Kyo Ri hates doing. She just
can't make herself apologize to anyone, no matter how guilty she may feel. Those few times when she does apologize to
someone, it often ends up sounding as if she could care less about the other person, and that the apology isn't worth anything
when really, it's worth a lot to her (to even utter those words should mean a lot).
╔ My seat's been taken by some sunglasses, asking about a scar ↷ Despite being passionate about things such as sports and
complaining, Kyo Ri has no interest whatsoever in academics. It's not in her mindset to focus hard on school anymore, she could
seriously care less about the history of ancient Korea and how that impacted present day Seoul. Please, there's Google for that.
Not only that, but Kyo Ri also seems to be a bit more on the dense side of things. She doesn't seem to catch on how other
people think of her (not that she really cares, but nevertheless, she lacks the ability to tell), especially if that feeling is
romantic. Hell, it's difficult for her to tell whether or not she considerse someone a friend. She's just clueless in that sense.
dream job : Pastry chef
likes :
Tiramisu ↷ Not too sweet, spongy, with a slight taste of coffee to add the flavor, Kyo Ri has a soft spot for the Italian dessert.
She's had that soft spot ever since she was a little girl, though she refuses to tell how she gained such an affection for it.
Anything Sweet ↷ Not only is Kyo Ri a baker, but she also has a rabid sweet tooth. But, like any other humane being, she
has her limits. Anything too sweet will make Kyo Ri cringe.
Lilies ↷ She feels as if Lilies are absolutely stunning, and to think that they're as underappreciated as they are makes her
angry.
Winning ↷ No explanation needed, considering how competitive and egoistic she is.
Dogs ↷ Dogs are active and are man's best friend. Kyo Ri would love to have a dog, but alas, her mother is extremely allergic
to dogs (or so she claims; Kyo Ri believes that it's just an excuse so that her clothes would stay 'pristine' and 'presentable')
Winnie the Pooh ↷ A classic children's television program, Kyo Ri has a lot of fond memories of watching Winnie the honey bear
as a little girl, so she has an undying love for the beloved characters, as well as the show itself. Winnie and his friends were all
there to entertain Kyo Ri when the sun came down and she was herded back into the house.
Sports ↷ Give a competitive, adrenaline-loving girl a football and she'll immediately fall in love. And that's exactly what
happened with Kyo Ri and sports after transferring to Dubois.
Caffeine ↷ Being forced to wake up early every morning takes its toll. In order to wake herself up, Kyo Ri likes to drink a cup
of tea or coffee, depending on her mood and the weather.
Adrenaline ↷ Articulating even further on 'adrenaline', Kyo Ri is borderline adrenaline junkie. That heart-thumping feeling
she gets whenever she's doing those fast-paced, intense sort of things, it's something she lives and yearns for. It makes her feel
limitless, as if she could do anything she dare chose to do.
Paper Airplanes ↷ This is more of a childhood thing, but Kyo Ri has always had a love for the paper foldables. Even today, she
likes to pretend that the paper airplane is going to transport her dream over the sky and deliver it to whomever is up there,
so she has a habit of wishing on each and every paper airplane she throws up there.
dislikes :
Anything spicy ↷ Sweet and spicy don't go together. And being a baking prodigy, it ought not be a surprise to discover that
Kyo Ri abhors spicy foods, even though she's a full korean. Maybe it's because the most recent span of her life was spent in an
area where spicy food wasn't exactly eaten often.
Cold weather ↷ Not a fan of long-sleeved clothing, Kyo Ri stubbornly refuses to wear such articles of clothing unless it's
absolutely futile. And even then, she'll ponder over the subject. Which is probably why she: hates cold weather and she has
a weak immune system. In the winter, Kyo Ri pretty much depends solely on heaters, since her wardrobe has next-to no long
sleeved articles of clothing. In other words, she's screwed when the cold weather comes rolling around.
Fondant ↷ What a cheap excuse for a dessert. Personally, Kyo Ri cannot stand the taste of fondant, it reminds her of powdered
plastic, which isn't the most pleasant of tastes, especially when one is supposed to enjoy sweet things, including cakes. She
can't help but give all bakers who actually use fondant a dirty look and a famed roll of the eyes. She'd rather test her skills
and abilities in making her cakes perfectly smooth without using such a cheap trick, thank you very much.
Chick Flicks / Romance Novels ↷ Please, ladies, get a hold of yourself. Think about what you're watching for a second. Nicholas
Sparks is not God, stop swooning over things that will never happen to you. So, in other words, Kyo Ri hates reading or
watching these sort of things; it bores to absolute crap out of her.
Cats ↷ They don't even do anything except hiss at her and scratch her face. She doesn't get along with cats. At all.
Academics / School ↷ With her acknowledgable talent in pastry making, Kyo Ri doesn't see much of a point in school. She
pretty much gave up on school, academically speaking, after her personality took a 180º change.
Anything Greasy ↷ Coming from an affluent family, Kyo Ri's used to having her food be of high quality, and rarely ever eats
at fast food restaurants (though she had the occasional burger in Nice), so she has a tendency to shy away from such foods. It
repulses her, anyways; looking at all of that grease and fat makes her lose her appetite, which says a lot.
Large hands ↷ Having small, thin hands herself, Kyo Ri has always held a strange grudge against people with bigger hands than
her own. Her hands are ridiculously small, which would be considered feminine and beautiful in many places, but she can't help
but dislike them. So, over time, she's grown a grudge against large hands.
Children ↷ Kyo Ri is terrible with children. Her short temper, as well as blunt words, don't go too well with kindergarteners.
Board Games ↷ She so much at board games, it ought to be considered a crime. Monopoly is like a blow to her ego.
hobbies :
Eating ↷ She has one of the biggest appetites ever. Kyo Ri loves to eat, so thank god for sports and high metabolism.
Baking / Cooking ↷ Baking prodigy here. And since baking and cooking are pretty similar, it's really not a surprise to discover
that she also enjoys cooking. Baking and cooking are some of the few things Kyo Ri actually finds herself interested and
passionate about; her concentration never ceases while doing either activities. She's won countless awards and honors for her
culinary talent. If there was one thing Kyo Ri would thank her parents for (and probably the only thing), it'd be thanking them
for entering her in one of the best culinary academies in the world.
Dancing ↷ Ever since Kyo Ri was a little girl, she's loved dance. Since she first started taking dance lessons when she was four,
Kyo Ri has come a long way. She would be considered a good dancer, but not as good as she is a baker. Kyo Ri finds dance a
good way to let out her emotions, especially when it comes to contemporary dance. She also enjoys hip hop and ballet as well.
Soccer ↷ Midfielder on the soccer field, Kyo Ri started playing soccer while at Dubois. She learned to enjoy the sport, and
now, her competitive nature makes a pretty decent player. She's no Christiano Ronaldo, but she's fairly good at the sport.
Shopping ↷ Her French influences are seeping through. Often, whenever there was a holiday, Kyo Ri would go with a group of
friends to Paris (via. train), and one of their activities included shopping. She enjoys doing it, but only for herself.
Trying new things ↷ New things are challenges. Kyo Ri loves challenges. What more is there to say?
Running ↷ Running is a nice way for Kyo Ri to get her mind off of things. She can do both short sprints as well as long-distance
runs, but if she were to choose one, she'd have to admit that she's better at short sprints. She likes taking runs in the morning,
despite not being a morning person. It helps with soccer and other field sports as well.
Debate ↷ One of the few academic things Kyo Ri's good at, and part of the reason as to why she's decent at debate (Lincoln
Douglas, if you want specifics) is thanks to her experience in persuading people that those mishaps weren't her fault, but rather,
someone else's. Who would've known persuasion could've lead to such a hobby.
habits :
△ Blinking profusely whenever she's confused, exhausted, or bored.
△ Jutting out her bottom lip whenever she shrugs.
△ Inhaling the scent of stuffed animals / clothing (for example, if she's given a jacket, she'll instinctively bring it up to her face
and take a whiff lol)
△ Drumming her fingers against the table / surface
△ Her left eye twitches whenever she becomes angry enough
△ Ears turn red whenever she's embaressed (she doesn't blush very often, her red ears are basically the subsitute for her lack
of ability to make her cheeks turn rosy)
fears :
Claustrophobia ↷ Claustrophobia, known as the fear of small, confined spaces, began haunting Kyo Ri ever since she was
born. A late baby who stayed entirely too long in her mother's womb for it to be deemed safe, Kyo Ri has plenty of
daunting memories of her 'playing' hide-and seek with the maids and servants, hiding away in a dark, confined space
(usually a corner of some sort, behind objects were also popular), only to never be found until hours later. She wasn't stupid
either; the maids had purposefully not found her so that they wouldn't have to look after her (and so they could escape the
house probably). But those long, dark hours in such a space gets quite suffocating, and eventually, Kyo Ri refused to go in
such spaces. Now though, Kyo Ri handles her claustrophobia quite well. She can handle being in an elevator (long as it's
not overfilled with people) for up to ten to fifteen minutes, despite the annoying elevator music.
Astrapophobia ↷ Astrapophobia, also known as the fear of lightning, has been a fear of Kyo Ri's ever since she was little.
Rain itself, even thunder doesn't scare Kyo Ri at all (if anything, she likes the rain), but when the lightning comes striking down,
at the most unexpected of times especially, it deters Kyo Ri away from any activity she might be doing, leaving her with the
terrible want to go hide under something and stay there. This only happens when she actually sees the lightning, but when she's
inside and unable to see the actual lightning, her hands still start to shake a bit when the thunder starts (it's not the actual
thunder she's scared of though). There's really no reasoning behind her fear of lightning, it's just been part of her since the day
she was born.
Bathophobia ↷ Bathophobia, also known as the fear of depth, is more or less the reason as to why Kyo Ri refuses to learn how
to swim, or rather, why she can't swim. It's the fear that once Kyo Ri gets into any water that isn't shallow enough so that it
ends at about her upper chest, she will drown, and disappear into the inky murkiness of the water. After one pool party that
happened on one of her friends' birthday parties, Kyo Ri has lived with such a fear. As a joke, a friend of hers had decided to
push Kyo Ri under in the deep end, not knowing that she didn't know how to swim. One thing led to another, and when that
friend swam back to the surface (he had pushed her to the bottom, so he had to swim down as well to get that far) to get a
better viewing of Kyo Ri's infuriated face, he never realized that Kyo Ri didn't come up until minutes later. If it weren't for
Chen, Kyo Ri would still be residing at the bottom of that deep end, no breath left in her lungs. When she woke up, she was
at the hospital, with no real recollections of the incidence other than the inky darkness that seemed to wash over her. The friend
apologized profusely, but Kyo Ri (nice and sweet at the time), easily forgave him, assuring him that it was all just a common
misunderstanding that happened to everyone. But from that day forward, Kyo Ri refused to get in any deep water.
special talents :
Complaining ↷ She has a PhD in complaining. No one can out-complain the Kyo Ri.
Baking ↷ Ever since those lessons on cooking (in order to be a proper lady, one must be skilled in cooking) and baking,
Kyo Ri has found a passion for cooking, baking especially. She finds it a nice way to get away from all the stress
and occasionally overwhelming thoughts that run through her mind, the amount of dedication and concentration she puts
into her pastries is incredible for a person with such a personality.
trivia :
△ She's left handed
△ Kyo Ri's fingers move a lot; after a while, if they remain immobilized, they'll start to twitch.
△ She still doesn't know how to drive; she has no intentions of learning such an ability any time soon.
△ Her favorite character in Winnie the Pooh is Tigger; she has a giant stuffed Winnie in her room, she's often seen cuddling
against the bear's chest in her spare time.
△ Kyo Ri's more of a night owl than morning bird; but she still has to wake up at pretty early times. Since she doesn't sleep until
the wee hours of the night (around midnight to two in the morning), sleep isn't something she gets a lot of.
ㅡ turn baek! \e_e/
history :
╔ The Ingredients ↷ Like most affluent families, Kyo Ri grew up with a silver spoon in . But the cliché rich girl story
ends pretty soon. Her parents, in charge of successful banking corporation Minx, had a lot in store for their only child; she was
to be the prettiest, the most ladylike, the one who would look good and would not, under any circumstances, tarnish their
image. And at first, Kyo Ri tried her hardest to please her parents (but to no avail, since they were almost always away doing
work). She attended ettiquette classes (and was taught which spoons were used for what, how to sneeze like a lady, the
rules to being a proper lady, the tortorous list goes on). And she hated it, no, she abhored it. The only thing Kyo Ri liked doing
(that her parents made her do, that is) was baking and cooking. Ever since Kyo Ri was little, she's had a passion for cooking,
baking especially. She'd even enlisted in several junior baking contests (and won quite a few trophies for her creations).
Her parents barely batted an eyelash. But, nevertheless, Kyo Ri listened to what her parents said and followed their every word.
She was a good little girl, afterall. Hardworking, conservative, sweet, even a bit timid. Nevertheless, however hard she tried,
Kyo Ri could never seem to earn any sort of recognition from her parents (unless it was to repramind her to work harder). So,
in other words, her parents were almost always away doing something that had to do with their ever-growing corporation,
leaving their only daughter alone with a group of servants and maids, whom were expected to care for Kyo Ri. Maybe it was
because Kyo Ri made no attempts to make their lives (or paychecks) better, maybe it was because they didn't want to care for
a child. Whatever reason it was, the staff at the Cho household hated Kyo Ri, probably because of the sharp increase of work
they had to do whenever she was there.
╔ The Cake Batter ↷ Many of the residents on 27th Avenue found Jongdae (better known as Chen but grudgingly allowed Kyo Ri
and Kyo Ri only to call him 'Jongdae') and Kyo Ri's relationship to be the strangest of them all. Chen was the stubborn, loud,
humorous, but nevertheless loyal and sweet boy who had a tendency to break fragile objects. On the other hand, Kyo Ri was
the ladylike little girl who had difficulty uttering but a syllable in front of a group of strangers. And despite their contrasting
personalities, the two got along to a point to where it almost seemed as if they were meant to be. They were the salt and
pepper of them all—many people didn't realize it, but they balanced each other out with their contrasting personalities, which
actually made their relationship stronger. And, eventually, that once-platonic relationship took a sharp incline as they went from
best friends to something more. And, just like all fairytales, they were happy. Who would've known that the two best friends
would fall in love, cliché as it was? That a shared interest over paper airplanes would blossom into young love? Chen was,
undoubtly, the 'leader' between the two: he was the one who came up with fun (and occasionally mischievous) things for the
both of them to do, he was the one who took the responsibility and blame for any consequences that came with such things.
Kyo Ri's parents believed (quite strongly, I might add) that Chen was a 'bad influence' on Kyo Ri, that she was turning into
a monster and that she no longer was a lady, so they always disliked Kyo Ri's best friend. So when her parents heard back from
the head maid one day, reporting that Kyo Ri was being "quite disruptive, not to mention rude and unladylike", they were
disappointed, but not surprised. So off Kyo Ri went to Nice, France, where she would attend the most prestigious boarding
school in all of France, one that focused especially on the culinary arts. In an attempt to 'cure' Kyo Ri of her immature behavior.
Kyo Ri went off, not knowing what she did wrong, since she was still quiet and obedient, as she always was. Even today, Kyo Ri
isn't very sure why her parents shipped her off, which is how she gained a very hard resentment for them. Well, she understands
why they chose the school they did, but as of the reason of her basishment from 27th Avenue still remains unknown. They
shipped her off because they could care less about her. They only cared about her abilities, which is why they sent her off to a
prestigious liberal arts culinary arts programmed school. Hell, if they really had to, they could always adopt a pretty and
talented little girl and makeher heir. Better yet, adopt a boy. She didn't know that it was a bunch of lazy maids who influenced
her parents to send her off.Well, not exactly influence, they more or less just lied. The goodbye with Chen was hard for the both
of them, especially withthem being young (and Kyo Ri being so dependent on Chen). They had triple-sworn (cross their hearts
and hope to die-style as well) that when she returned (no if's there), neither person would change, and that life would continue
for the both of themas if they had never parted.
╔ The icing ↷ Dubois Culinaire Academy was knownas the one of the most difficult and prestigious school in France for a reason.
All of the students were talented, not to mention filthy rich. Kyo Ri was pretty much a perfect match for the place. But, her
personality was still quite reserved and humble, so at first, she wanted nothing to do with her classmates and instead, focused
solely on school and learning Mandarin. But as time went on, after realizing how little her parents cared for her (not one phone
call or letter), Kyo Ri stopped caring as well. She no longer did what her parents had hoped for her to do, if anything, the cure
backfired, leaving them with a brash, stubborn daughter. She began to become more of what the other students at Dubois
Academy acted like, she began to slip into the community. Her grades dropped to about average, she began participating in
different sports teams (and it sure as hell didn't take her two seconds to make Varsity), she joined clubs and made friends.
Eventually, Kyo Ri grew to love the school in which she spent a majority of her life at. Her entire personality changed, her
friends were different from the ones back on 27th Avenue as well, and for some reason, Kyo Ri didn't mind. The only things
she really kept through her transition from 27th Avenue to Dubois Academy were her love for cooking/baking and her unrequited
love for paper airplanes. Old habits die hard, right? Though it wasn't her intention to, Kyo Ri pretty much dropped Chen from
her mind. After settling in with her Dubois classmates, Kyo Ri never once thought of her childhood lover (who was most likely
waiting quite patiently for her to come back).
family :
father : Cho Kyu Shin / 48 / Co-CEO of banking company Minx / Alive / Stern, workaholic, intimidating, blunt /
whenever Kyo Ri's with her father and mother (because there's almost never been a time when it's just one parent
with her), it's so incredibly awkward and tense that it's scary. There's always an air of hostility coming from Kyo Ri,
and an air of disappointment and slight annoyance from her parents. They have next-to-no relationship with each other.
mother : Jung Mi Hwa / 46 / Co-CEO of banking company Minx / Alive / Ladylike, two-faced, stern, workaholic /
Refer above (it's the exact same).
sibling : --
friends :
best friends : Kim Jongdae | Chen / 17 / Student / Mischievous, Stubborn, Charming, Hardworking / Chen was
Kyo Ri's first love, not to mention her best friend. He was like the leader of the two, and she was the happy
follower. They were both extremely different from each other, but that's what made their relationship so interesting
and work so well. Chen often used to show Kyo Ri things no one else would show her (i.e. he'd introduce her to stall
food, different places, etc.).
friends : Im Yoona / 17 / Student / Mischievous, Outgoing, Understanding, Impatient / An old childhood friend who
often would join Chen and Kyo Ri on their daily adventures, especially if a prank had to do with it. Yoona's like the sister
Kyo Ri wished she (sometimes) never had, but she's grateful to have Yoona as a friend.
No Mercy / -- / Student / Tomboyish, Tough, Mischievous, Reckless / They weren't very good friends when they were
both smaller, but after both girls came back, No Mercy being the exact same, Kyo Ri being a completely different
person, they seemed to click. Even though they're no twins, both being the toughest, as well as the most
reckless and fun-loving people out there, they obviously stick together, especially with the things that no one
but them wants to do (aside from her best friend/love interest).
rival : Why you gotta be so mean? | Minjung / -- / Student / Princess-complex, slightly arrogant, confident / Their relationship
is probably one of the most bipolar out of them all. On one hand, they're alike in many aspects, so often, they have a common
viewpoint on things. On the other hand, the qualities in which they both possess aren't exactly the most bonding of traits.
Being confident to both girls' extent, and both being slightly arrogant/competitive often results in a lot of arguments, as well
as mini-competitions to see who is better at whatever. And the fact that both have arguably the biggest egos on 27th avenue
doesn't help either.
misc characters : Kim Ha Young / 38 / Melodramatic, nervous, lazy, / Ha Young is the head maid (refer to 'history' section).
ㅡ your otp(s) of twenty seventh ave.
love interest :
01 : Kim Jongdae (Chen) of EXO-M
02 : Nam Woohyun of Infinite
03 : Lee Sungyeol of Infinite
personality : Chen ↷ Known for his smile as well as his trolling sense of humor, Chen is seen as the joker of them
all, the guy who never stops smiling. He has one of the highest reputations on 27th avenue, girls like him because of his
undeniably handsome face and compassionate ways, guys like him because of his laid back and humorous attitude and
leader-like qualities. Despite being known for his laid back and fun nature, Chen is known to be quite straightforward
with his words; if it weren't for his good reputation and good intentions, his words would probably be considered rude
and obnoxious, though his intentions had nothing to do with either. People know that Chen is a genuine person, that all of his
words as well as actions only have good intentions behind them. He's more of a people person, outgoing and understanding,
Chen is the kind of person who people look up to and willingly follow, since he stays away from
being bossy or cruel, but still always fulfills his promises. He accepts his shortcomings and flaws; if anything, he enjoys
poking fun at himself for his mistakes and lack of talent in things such as sports, dance, foreign language, the list goes on.
Though he's undeniably trustworthy, as well as hardworking, Chen is also famous for his stubborn and persistent attitude,
which, more times than not, gets him in quite the sticky situation. Chen is no persuasion king, he's not very good with words,
much less expressing his own feelings, but his actual emotions displayed on his face or actions speaks the actual truth. He's a
true gentleman; wordlessly give a girl his jacket when she's cold, hold the door for others, show respect and high regard for his
elders and such, but when he's around people his own age whom he's comfortable with, a more playful attitude emerges from
him, thus earning him the beloved nickname of "Trolldae". He likes having a good time with friends, and what better way to
lighten up the mood (especially after finals and midterms) with a classic prank?
╔ In a nutshell: { Laid back, Straightfoward, Compassionate, Charismatic, Stubborn, Gentleman } ╝
Woohyun ↷ Forever known as 'Namgrease', Woohyun is a romantic sort of person who knows just about every cheesy pick
up line known to man. Aside from his romantic antics that woo countless hoards of girls on a daily basis, Woohyun has
more than just stupid jokes that one would find only in The Notebook. Woohyun is probably one of the most passionate, as
well as ambitious people one will ever meet. He strives to be the best, but unlike many other ambitious souls out there,
he actually cares about the people around him. Although he often jokes and says otherwise, Woohyun is a great friend, one
of the best, if anything. He's always an available shoulder to lean, cry, or push. If one were to ask one of Woohyun's many
male friends about him, they would claim he's the most feminine guy they've ever met, but even they admit that his many
'feminine' sides are probably why he's the friend they trust the most. He seems to be a mind reader of some sort; Woohyun
is incredible at reading body language, he has an uncanny ability to tell whether or not you're lying, and he knows exactly
how you're feeling at the moment, and unlike all the other guys out there, he knows exactly how to comfort just about
everyone over just about anything. Woohyun doesn't like change; he enjoys things staying the way they were, and he'll
do anything to keep it that way.
╔ In a nutshell: { Romantic, Passionate, Ambitious, Compassionate, Dependable, Observant } ╝
Sungyeol ↷ It often surprises people to discover that Lee Sungyeol is quite childish and reckless, but if one were to ask
someone who knew Sungyeol well, they would be rather surprised if you didn't know that. Sungyeol is outgoing and talkative,
the kind of person who would be labelled as the "class clown" of the grade, since he's childish and constantly cracking jokes and
laughing, as well as pulling pranks. He tends to do things before he acts, as well as say things before he realizes what he said,
which occasionally comes across as rude, which is most likely the reason as to why adults and elders don't like Sungyeol very
much. But among his peers, Sungyeol is definetely well-liked and popular; his childish and competitive attitude just makes him
seem charismatic, but in a very unique way. Being as persistent and prideful as Sungyeol is, it makes him quite prone to
jealousy, especially when it has to do with a skill that he himself doesn't have. Despite his immature behavior, Sungyeol is
quite passionate about the things he loves, as well as getting better at things; he likes to be the best.

relationship :
╔ Us against the world ↷ Chen was the leader among the two—he was the one who showed Kyo Ri things she had never seen
before, let her experience things she would have never experienced otherwise. He was like the older, protective brother, the one
who caused the mischiveous but put all the blame on himself as well. They were complete opposites, but their contrasting
personalities were what made them such a fantastic pair. They shared few qualities and traits, but those traits were all
traits that just made their relationship stronger, both romantically and platonically speaking. Both of them were compassionate,
especially about each other, and they shared a shared love for paper airplanes. They looked out for each other, and that best-
friend relationship somehow turned over to a more romantic relationship. They just understood each other so well; both of them
knew everything about the latter, there literally were no secrets between the duo. Despite their adorable and seemingly perfect
relationship between each other, the fact that no one (aside from their friends) seemed to support, much less approve of, their
relationship, both platonically and romantically speaking. Especially not Kyo Ri's parents, whom Kyo Ri listened quite obedientely
to.
╔ The woes of long-distance ↷ Chen really seems like the perfect guy, whether it be to befriend or to date. But every time a
girl confesses to him, he turns them down gently, and when they ask the reason as to why he refused their confession, his
answer never changes. His so-called 'someone special' has pretty much grown into a bit of an urban legend around town; people
don't seem to be smart enough to connect the dots to Kyo Ri and her and Chen's relationship when they were but wee children.
Either that, or a majority of people have realized it's Kyo Ri who Chen's hinting at, but they want to keep the urban legend
alive. For the sake of the girls. Only his closest friends seem to remember Kyo Ri and how important she was is to Chen. Even
though a majority of them don't exactly understand his unfathomable love for her, they don't question him, though they
constantly 'indirectly prompt' him to move on, since no one believes she's going to come back.
╔ The one that got away ↷ Chen was estatic when he learned of the welcome-home party that was to welcome Kyo Ri back
to the neighborhood in Seoul, South Korea. He didn't know where she had been for the past several years or so (no one would
tell him or they didn't know themselves), so he gladly accepted the invite to the party (he was surprised, to be honest, since the
Cho's abhored him), and came to the occassion with a paper airplane in his back pocket, a few words written in the wings. Little
did he know that the entire reason the Cho's even invited him was for the sake of papparazzi. The entire party was a stunt,
actually, to prove how 'perfect' the Cho family was, to regain a reputation they had lost with that one gossip article about their
'beloved' daughter. Nevertheless, Chen went, anticipating the moment when his first (and only) love would walk through those
doors and greet him, exactly the same, as she promised. But when a girl whom he couldn't even recognize (he had to admit,
she was much prettier than how he expected her to look), wearing clothes that didn't seem like clothing Cho Kyo Ri would wear,
talking in a language and tone that Cho Kyo Ri wouldn't talk in, face twisted in such a ticked off and annoyed expression that
Cho Kyo Ri would never make, he almost had a heart attack on the spot. And when he tried to talk to her (it took several
attempts, since she wouldn't even look at him, too engrossed in her phone), he was met with a pair of dark, piercing eyes and
a cold, annoyed tone. That girl who he had fallen so hard for, she was gone. And it devastated Chen. But once the 'party' ended,
Chen decided to change her back into the Cho Kyo Ri he remembered; it was his promise to himself. He tries to remind Kyo Ri
of their memories together when they were children, he tries to get her to remember their childhood and how important they
were to each other. But she never listened; she was too caught up in complaints of going back 'home'. And it broke his heart,
since 27th Avenue was her home.
Thus begins the chase of the two lost lovers, one of which barely remembers the latter, the other so hung up over the past and
their already-faded love that, when it comes down to it, it just balances out. Just like the old times. Thus begins the search
for a girl that once was there, replaced with someone whom her lover cannot recognize. Thus begins the journey of undecided
fate, that must be determined based on Chen's efforts and Kyo Ri's responses.
how did you guys meet? :
"Hey. PSSSSSST. HEY."
The once-silent air that surrounded the two children was suddenely filled with the sound of Chen's (loud) whispers.
Turning around to where the only other child in the room was, Kyo Ri stared at him, curious as to what he wanted.
"Yes?"
Acting as if what he was going to tell her was some sort of big secret, Chen leaned in closer to where Kyo Ri was, and she too
unconsciousnly leaned in ever-so slightly.
"I'm BORED."
Not knowing whether she should continue staring at him or if she should laugh at his foolishness, Kyo Ri (thankfully) chose the
latter. It was already pretty obvious how much he didn't want to be here, especially considering the crumpled (and somewhat
stained) dress shirt and non-existant tie. But, unlike most other kids, who would become quite defensive (not to mention
offended), the boy laughed along with her. And, for several precious seconds, the sound of children's laughter rang through
the room. Until one of the adults cried for them to shut up. But that's neither here nor there.
"So...do you want to do something?"
Kyo Ri couldn't help but wrinkle her nose. What did he mean? They were at a dinner party, not at the park. But she was quite
bored, so she nodded.
"Good. Let's go!"
Grabbing her hand, the mischievous Jongdae ran out of the room as fast as his little legs would allow him, Kyo Ri dutifully
trailing behind, worried that they might get caught.
But, of course, their prescence wasn't missed.
"Um..."
"Chen," the boy prompted.
"Chen, why are we here?"
He shrugged, pulling out a crumpled piece of paper out of his back pocket.
"Koi Fish-"
"Kyo Ri," she interrupted, preventing him from continuing his sentence.
"Kyo Ri. Tell me. Do you like paper airplanes?"
(i decided to leave it at that, but you get the idea. they basically flew paper airplanes in a random place idk. and it was all
sunshine and rainbows)
ㅡ drama scene, action!
why she left : Thanks to a slight exaggeration thanks to Miss Head Maid at the Cho headquarters, Kyo Ri was exiled from her
home in 27th avenue and was shipped off to a place that would not only up her culinary skills by tenfold, but would also
'tame' her 'wild teenage hormones' and make her 'ladylike and proper', whatever that was supposed to mean. She ended up
going to Nice, France (A/N: yes, this is a real city lol), where she attended Dubois Culinaire Academy, better known merely
as Dubois Academy, or just Dubois. There wasn't much of a good bye in the family, much less a good bye party of any sort.
And Kyo Ri and her friends being too young at the time, weren't able to make much of an impact when they bid farewell
as well, aside from the runny noses and nonstop sniffling (not to mention that not-so secret promise made between Kyo Ri
and Jongdae).
return : Shortly after the release of her parent's pride and joy (their Forbes' article, declaring the Cho family as one of the
'perfect' families in Korea), another article came out (in a popular gossip magazine), revealing pictures of Kyo Ri partying
at a nightclub in Beijing. Though the article was fairly small, it attracted enough attention and gossip that the Cho family
decided that Kyo Ri was not to be trusted with their beloved reputation, and immediately withdrew her from Dubois Academy
so that they could "keep an eye on her". Kyo Ri protests, since that was her first (and most likely last) time going to a club.
It smelled horrible anyways, and the drinks , so she didn't see why they couldn't trust her.

HOME, SWEET, HOME QUESTIONS :
O1. what do you like about your home after 27th avenue? : (/sigh) It's been forever since I've even thought
of that old place. But...from what I remember, the people there, we were all friends. It was pretty much a bunch of
rainbows and sunshine there. Probably because I was young and foolish. I don't really remember. I tried to forget. And
before you criticize me and everything for doing that, I'll have you know that what I do is none of your business.
But that's neither here nor there. Anyways, I just remembered. There was a guy...Jongdae. There's a lot of fond
memories with him, along with a girl. Yoona, now I remember! My neighbors, especially those two, were definitely
my lifeline over there. Wonder how they're doing...
Whatever.
O2. why don't you like it on 27th avenue anymore? : (/rolls eyes) Honestly, I hate it whenever people try to
meddle in my business, but looks like I have no choice here, huh? (/smiles slightly with no humour in it) My parents
were both...s. Excuse the language, but it's true, and you and I both know that. Like, they shipped me off.
For no reason except for they weren't 'proud' of me or whatever. Even though I was rotting away, taking all the classes
and crap they wanted me to take. And their reaction? Oh, that I'm a failure. (/waves hand) Move along, failure. I guess
that's why my childhood kind of . In the house, of course. And since they were never home, because they're
just that great of parents, I was stuck in a house filled with some of the worst maids ever. They hated me, almost
as much as I grew to hate them.
Bottom line: I hated living there. Well, living in the family I lived in. So moving to Beijing for boarding school
was probably the best thing that could've happened to me. No more ridiculous maids, and my parents sure didn't care.
I grew up, you know? 27th Avenue wasn't a bad place in general, but my house was. I don't hate the place, well, at
least I don't think I do. It's just not the place for me anymore. I should be at Dubois right now, where I
belong, not back here. But, I'm still stuck here. (/sigh)
Hm...maybe I do actually hate this place. Probably. Oh well (/shrugs).
ㅡ good bye baby, good bye!
comments, questions, concerns? : lmfao that picture of exo xD
our beloved bbs looking attractive as hell /shot
anywho,
this app took me 5ever to make. and it .__. /srrynotsrry
seriously though, i kept procrastinating and and...
yeah. you're stuck with this piece of crap. whoops.
and sorry it's long otl.
omg this plotline/app reminds me so much of 'best friend' by jason chen ♡
scene requests :
Whoops. ↷ Once Kyo Ri returns home, she bumps into the head maid who 'reported' her to her parents. The maid, thinking
that Kyo Ri knows about that, turns extremely pale and starts freaking out. Confused, Kyo Ri checks to see if she forgot
to wear clothes or if there was something on her face. When she found neither, she asked the maid why she was...doing
what she was doing. (idk if she founds out or not this way lol i don't really care)
The Party of Reality ↷ The party that I mentioned earlier (in the relationship section), yeah, that'd be awesome to have in there
o u o
Do you remember? ↷ Chen takes Kyo Ri around town on the weekend after she arrives back to 27th avenue, trying to get her
to remember their childhood and memories that they shared together. The park, the pond, the library, their elementary school,
even the coffee shop and ice cream parlor they used to visit. They even visited some old friends as well as elders as well as the
stalls on Main Street. And when he finally brought her to the hill with the wooden bench and the willow and oak tree (both of
which were now fully grown and at its peak), he asked her if she remembered the paper airplanes. She froze for a second, but
lied smoothly and said no, she had no idea what he was talking about. But he noticed that hesitation and slight tremor in her
voice, he knew she remembered. And so after that, that's what basically drove him to continue trying to make her remember
them.
Tiramisu is the cake of love ↷ It was a rainy day, and Chen decided to help out a soaking wet Kyo Ri from her misery
(she had to walk home, and she had just-so conveniently forgotten her umbrella. Whoop dee doo) by picking her up via. his car.
But instead of bringing her straight home, he drove over to that coffee shop that they often used to visit, and bought her
tiramisu and hot chocolate, just like he always did. And she started crying, and confessed that she remembered this. (well, not
crying, but idk lol) Chen just smiled that gentle smile of his and wiped away a tear, and said, "I know," (do they kiss??? idk,
you guys decide lol /shot)
