It wasn't your typical Saturday.  No, it was May 18th, 2013 aka Dong Youngbae's Birthday!  So like many other YB supporters out there, I was out double-tapping away at every Taeyang instagram pic, checking and re-checking my twitter account to see if anyone had seen or spotted our infamous birthday boy.  But to no avail - nothing... nada!  Part of me is sad... while the other half of me is elated!  (Finally!  Yes!  Maybe this is the year our YB goes from stallion to stud... lol, I kid!)

A few hours into the evening, I was checking my Facebook account and lo and behold, I see my cousin update her status declaring she was where?  None other than Korea!  She was on her flight back from Thailand to the States and had a layover flight in Seoul for a good portion of the day.  So of course, I begin spamming her account, begging her to please bring me back some birthday boy cake.  Unfortunately, she & her honey were beat from their flight and didn't get a chance to explore much before they had to board their flight back to Cali. 

But that still didn't stop me from spazzing!  =þ

We skyped.  She was inside the airport, eating.  I could see how airy, light, and clean it was behind her.  The first words that come out of my mouth are, "Wow!  This is just like in the movies!"

Face-palm.

She could see how excited I was.  I don't think I've ever told her how immersed I've become with BB lately.  She promised to be on the lookout for Taeyang for me.  And i quesitoned her - and re-questioned her.  "Are you SURE you know what he looks like?"  "No... no, he doesn't have a mohawk anymore..."  "No, that's an old pic I posted up... but the body should be the same, if not better."  Needless to say, she thought I was crazy.

Sigh.  This is probably the closest thing I'll ever get to YB in awhile.  I had to lay it all on the line.

Sadly, she did not spot him.

But!  She made my night by tagging me in some pics she took of the airport, much to my delight! =)  Now, it's FB official - I'm on the map!  I know - I probably sound like a dork, an idiot... totally un-worldly!  But if you can't be like that around your friends, who can you be? =)  Here are some of the conversations that took place, along with some pics around the airport - in case you're wondering what it looks like right this minute!  And yes - a parade? at a freaking airport? WHO NEEDS DISNEYLAND?!!?
