Question of the day for him: What country is Managua located in?

What I'm about to type is the mental process of a 20 year old guy who took two years of spanish and was exposed to Nicaragua.. The bold font is me.

"North Mexico?"

"No."

"East of Mexico?"

"No."

"South Mexico?"

"It's not near Mexico! Leave Mexico!"

"Southern Panama?"

"No."

"Panama?"

"No, it's not in Panama."

"North Mexico?"

"What did I just say? Will you leave Mexico alone?! It's not in Mexico or Panama but it's in Central America."

"Yeah, Mexico..."

"*sigh* Everything between North and South America is Central America, Dipthong!"

"Wait... Is it a city?"

"Yes."

"uhhh.."

"What country does it sound like?"

"Nicaragua?"

"YES! MANAGUA IS NICARAGUA'S CAPITAL!"

"Wait, Nicaragua is in Africa not Central America."

"That's Nigeria, Not Nicaragua!" 

"Oh..."

"*sarcasm* Oh, yeah.."

"Shut up! Wait, that would explain why Louis from Family Guy said 'Me gusta Nicaragua'..."

"Yes, exactly, Nicaragua is a spanish speaking country, Almighty Baboya!"

That was shameful... In our spanish class we had to do a project where you picked a country and do a report using it's capital city.... Nicaragua was definitely on the list. I had Honduras but I'm sure he was still exposed to Nicaragua and Managua.... 

He's 20 years old with two years of Spanish under his belt... and he does not know that Nicaragua is in Central America and that Managua sounds like Nicaragua... I'm so done with my brother right now...

At least it's not as bad as this one girl that it's my grade (I'm almost graduating from high school, going into college) who thought China was in Europe and Greece was near Australia... That's horrible right there.
