Please Help Me In Anyway Way

Hello everyone. It's been a while since I've posted a blog on here. I am posting on behalf of my family. We are suffering.

I want you all to look around. Look at your possessions and look at your home. Please cherish it. Please appreciate what you have and please appreciate your family.

On Saturday, the 8th, we were hit with a Hurricane named Matthew. I live in North Carolina, USA. We didn't get the full force of it, but it devastated our city. We have pot holes and busted pipelines. Some roads are broken and we have lost 18 people just in our state. We had about 500+ water rescues and about 20,000+ power outages. We also lost our car. There was about 4 inches of our car left sticking out of the water. Our trunk opened during the flood and it washed everything out of our car. Luckily, the current brought it all to us, well, most of it came to us. The computer in the car is fried and there's still water in it. The smell is horrendous in the car as well as in our house. Since I have asthma, I can barely function in there. Even though the Hurricane is gone, we are still suffering from a lot of other potential floods. The dams in our neighboring cities have all broken and the river in our city is threatening to over flow.

Red Cross and FEMA have both been to our neighborhood and deemed it unlivable. I live in an apartment complex with 2 stories. Every 1st floor apartment have been flooded and Red Cross has told us to leave every piece of furniture behind. This happened on Saturday and we've been told to leave our things alone until Red Cross and FEMA look at it. Our stuff has been sitting and rotting away since Saturday. FEMA has taken inventory of what we have and we're hoping they can help us get something to replace it.

We got our electronics out and our important papers out. We have a cat as well, so she's safe. We also applied for this emergency plan that my job has that they have in case something happens to their workers. As of now, they're going to pay for us to stay at a hotel for a week. After that, we have to find somewhere to leave.

I'm not asking for much, even though the GoFundMe says $10,000. If you can donate to us, that's wonderful. If not, that's okay too, I'm not picky at this point. If anyone can, please spread this link. I would really appreciate it.
