f(x)’s Krystal in talks of being the female lead in upcoming SBS drama ‘Heirs’

f(x)‘s Krystal may soon be making her debut into dramas.

Krystal has participated in sitcoms before, but she’s never acted for a full on drama before. It’s been reported that she’s being strongly considered for the female lead role in ‘Heirs‘ along with Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye. The staff of the show have begun to check with her schedule for the second half of the year.

SBS confirmed, “It’s true that the staff approached Krystal. They haven’t confirmed her casting, but they’re watching her with interest.”

The drama is a trendy drama that talks about the love and friendship of rich high school students. There’s no word still on when the drama will begin airing, or even when it’ll start filming, but the cast looks very promising!

It is being reported that rising-star Kim Woo Bin is in the final stages of contract negotiation for his casting into the upcoming drama “Heirs.” He will be starring alongside Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye, and possibly Choi Jin Hyuk and f(x)’s Krystal. The latter two are reportedly considering the drama favorably.

Although the synopsis for the drama is not out yet, Kim Woo Bin is expected to play a large and important role in the drama.

“Heirs” will be written by Kim Eun Sook, who has previously worked with Kim Woo Bin through “A Gentleman’s Dignity.” “Heirs” is expected to air in October of this year.

Heirs purports to be a Gossip Girl–esque trendy drama set in a high school populated by the uber-rich, and with writer Kim at the helm we can expect lots of fast-flying banter and glossy characters.

It didn’t take long for Kim Woo Bin to return to the small screen.

The 23-year-old actor has starred in hit dramas School 2013 and A Gentleman’s Dignity, is shooting for Friend 2 with Yu Oh-Seong, and now has his next drama project lined up as well.

There still hasn’t been any definite answer on whether he’ll be acting with f(x) member Krystal or Gu Family Book actor Choi Jin Hyuk. He is joining Park Shin Hye and Lee Minho who are confirmed. I wonder what the possibility is that Kim Woo Bin is replacing Jung Yonghwa who dropped out of participating in this project?

So far Heirs will be about the world of a group of young and rich students that all attend a private high school. I am envisioning a fair measure of romances and betrayals. As long as Lee Minho doesn’t end up with his Boys Over Flowers curly hair. I never was able to be okay with that hairstyle on such a handsome actor. SBS won’t release an air date until they have cast all of the drama’s main cast.
