background/history : Gong Meihui was born on January 2nd 1995 in Malaysia, where her father was working as a event manager while her mother was a simple housewife. When she was two she started to learned how to talk and sing at the same time, she would sometime seen dancing. When she turned 6, she started showing ability to sing and was selected as main role for her school play where she played as snow white. A year later, she started to sing at events her dad manage and gain a little recognization. Her performance was uploaded on her mother's blog and gain popularity for her bauty and talents, she also learned piano and guitar then. A year later, her sister was born, at first she was really upset and spends most of her time singing. But eventually she loved her sister, that was when she first wrote a song. When she turned 13, it took a while for her to decide her dream and at last, she decided to move to Korea and live with her aunt for the sake of her dream to become an idol. There she had hard time learning Korean and adapting new inviroment at the same time, at first she was isolated by her class in her now school for not being able to communicate well in Korean. A year after, her aunt enrolled her into a music school, where she finally made a friend. That was when she auditioned numorous times into YG,Big Hit,Woolim,Hayu and others. She counted her audition in 5 months was more than 30 times. Her parents heard what happened and flew to Seoul to take her back, but she refused and ran home which she actually hiding at her friend's house. Two days after that while she was still hiding from her parents, she got a call from Hayu Ent to ask her to come in as trainee.
