Inactive + Fan/Shipper?

I have been a bit inactive lately due to school work and a tiny obsession with a certain TV Series. So if you're subscribed to one of my ongoing stories, I really apologize. I got no input for the meantime since what I'm watching isn't exactly a romance centered show like what I have to write. My brain is running differently - no romance, no love lines, no nothing related to romantic relationships so I can't really squeeze ideas.

And there's another reason why I don't want to be as active as a fangirl  anymore...

FAN/SHIPPER (rant)

The 'friends' I've made through the fandom no longer make being part of the red ocean fun. They're not the same people I used to talk to about how fun AADBSK: Saipan was or how beautiful the new song of TVXQ is or how funny the latest JYJ video is. 1, because they don't know the new song or the video, and/or  2, they'd say "it would be better with *insert JYJ members/TVXQ members*" Even worse, they'd insert YunJae in ANYTHING I say.

I don't get it. They call themselves fans but they have no idea of the activities of either JYJ or TVXQ but when there's a YunJae rumor they're all over it. Are they still fans or are they just shippers?

I know it's none of my business what THEY do, but, I think they're thinking lowly of the word 'fan' or the name 'Cassiopeia' if they use it and then fangirl over JUST THEIR SHIP and OTHER GROUPS. Forgive me, but I see no point in people calling themselves "full-blood Cassiopeia" or "die-hard OT5" when all their tweets/posts are filled with EXO and just YUNJAE.

It doesn't even stop there, like when they insult the members, tag explicit pictures and others. I can't speak for them but just imagine having a really good friend and seeing pictures of you and him/her having , it's awkward.

It's not the environment I enjoy, not anymore.

I was never active in any fandom. I guess, I call myself a fan because of the artists. I would watch their reality show guestings, listen to some of their songs, follow them on twitter. And even though I joined a forum, I never really formed online relationships with any of them. The only contact I have with fellow fans is here on aff, which is rare too, and when I post a comment in allkpop, which I only visit rarely.

What I am trying to say is that you could continue being a fan, alone. You don't need other people to support them. Perhaps it sounds easy coming from me, since I don't really fangirl. Hehe.
