​Personality: At times, Kaihao can be a perfectionist, if she doesn't get something right the first time around she'll keep practicing and practicing until she gets it right and to a standard she deems as being good enough. Other times, she is one of the most goofiest girls anyone could meet; she is always tripping over herself or gravity... many people fearing that the Onew condition has began to spread! If Kaihao is awkward around someone when they meet for the first time she will tell a really bad joke or do something really random to make the person laugh and to break the ice, if someone is feeling under the weather or in a foul mood, Kaihao will cheer them up regardless of how well she knows them and the people are greatful to her for it. When around her friends she's loud and has the loudest laugh around when she finds something extremely funny. There are times when Kaihao's personality does a complete turn around and she becomes moody and angry at the person who is getting on her nerves and when she's really angry she'll snap at someone who hasn't done anything to her, however Kaihao is good at hiding her emotions so people rarely see an angry side to her. Overall, Kaihao is a hardworking girl who loves to have fun whilst she still can, making sure that nobody gets in the way of her fun and tries to tell her what to do or how to live her life. 

Background: Kaihao was born in China in 1993 to her workaholic and contrasting in personalities parents. Growing up, Kaihao was quite a hyper child so to tire her out, and to give her a place to go whilst her parents were out working and unable to look after her, she began taking dance lessons in traditional Chinese dance and ballet as well as singing lessons. When she was younger, Kaihao experienced two different types of parenting; from her mother she experienced nothing but love and care, her mother always encouraging her to try out new things and always supporting her in her life choices. Then there was her father, who had the idea of tough love; if Kaihao recieved bad grades at school or did bad in a dance competition he was the first one to scold her and critice her. Whenever Kaihao would cry he would tell her that 'Life was tough, grow up stop crying and get a move on', it came as no surprise to her that when she told her parents she wanted to be a performer her mother was all go and encouring Kaihao to do it, her father point blank refused to believe her and accept it, pushing her into her school work to focus on the more important things in life. In 2010 whilst getting ready to enter university, Kaihao decided to audition for SM and didn't tell her parents until it was to late to turn back and whilst her mother was so excited for her and couldn't wait for her daughter to start a new life in Korea, her father felt betrayed and hasn't really spoken to her since then.

Song Qian (Victoria) | 26, 02/02/1987 | When Victoria found out that Kaihao was Chinese she ran over to greet her and was even more happy when she learnt Kaihao knew traditional Chinese dance and taught her the basics of Korean in her first three weeks at SM. | Kaihao see's similarities between Victoria and her mother, Victoria is always looking out for her and making sure other trainees aren't bullying her. Amber Liu | 21, 09/18/1992 | Kaihao once got stuck in an elevator with Amber and was shocked to find out she was a girl instead of the boy Kaihao always thought she was. | The two are always speaking togehter when possible. They only communicate in Mandarin... as that's the only language they're comfortable in and at the moment Amber is teaching Kaihao very basic English. The two sometimes shop together and take a few selcas together, pranking each other and embarrassing the other in the process | Her language barrier doesn't stop Amber showing the kpop world that she has talent and that she is able to rap, sing and dance just as well as everyone else. Interesting moment with family: After a fight with her husband, Kaihao's mother was sad and wouldn't talk to anyone for th erest of the day so to cheer her up Kaihao at dinner time shouted 'Buding time!' and started acting like a frog and dog which made her mum laugh a lot!

Personality : Krystal is just as bad as her sister. Being the youngest in the group, Krystal thinks she can get anything she wants and when she doesn't she will kick up and make a big fuss out of everything, shouting at everyone and even shouts at the other members of F(x)

Reason of Rivalry: Krystal thought that Kaihao was insulting her in Chinese to Amber so started shouting at her in English. In return, a confused Kaihao started shouting back at her in Mandarin and the two almost got into a full on fight and had to be separated. Kaihao being the trainee, got blamed for starting it instead of Krystal.

​How Do You Get Into SM?: Kaihao auditioned for SM at their 2010 Global Audition and passed after having to go two more times.

Trainee Life: Very hard to being with because she didn't speak a word of Korean and couldn't understand why she was getting in trouble. Since her Korean has gotten better, her trainee life isn't a walk in the park, but at least now she understands where she is going wrong and knows where to improve for next time.

Relationship : Kaihao has had a crush on Suho for a while but is to afraid to tell him in case he rejects her and because of the fact he see's them as good friends. Only a few people know Kaihao likes him and Suho likes to call her just 'Kai' to annoy her and also at times, gets jealous when she see's her getting close with other guy trainees and idols. 

How you met : Kaihao was walking through the SM building one day and heard Suho singing, she went to see who it was because at the time she didn't know and stayed there until he was finished, enchanted by his voice

Personality : Being the maknae of SHINee, Taemin has managed to capture the hearts of fangirls and noonas alike over the years, now that he's older he wants to be taken as a young man... still capturing hearts in the process. 

Relationship : Taemin and Kaihao are close friends, Taemin likes to call Kaihao 'Unnie' and she likes to think of him as  a baby brother even though Taemin is older. The two are always goofing around and making up silly dance moves together, often landing them in trouble. 

How You Met : Taemin walked past a practice room and saw Kaihao struggling with a dance move. He knew she didn't speak very good Korean so through action he managed to help her out with the move and the two have known each other since.
