This is the first time I have read this kind of opinion regarding original characters paired with celebrities.

I am somewhat confused. [I fail to understand the last part too, "...or you do both who they are." ]

Except for that Myungber fic, all of my fics feature OCs. And I know how most prefer slash/ over het fics because of the OC and I respect that. Even I have preferences on stories I read.

But to read an anonymous post like this makes me wonder how something I created, worked hard for, could be described as dumb.  

I would not claim that the Donghae in my fic is the real Donghae. It is but a fictional representation, my own perception of who he is. Just like how an original character is based on my perception of a real person or persons.  It is not that easy to create one.

If I were to write both original characters - which I have but only few have read - then the story wouldn't be classified as fanfiction or celebrity fanfiction, which all fics in AFF are.
