Itazura Na Kiss or known as Playfull Kiss is a manga written and illustrated by Kaoru Tada. It tells about the classic dumb-genius love story. This story had been a rival of Hana Yori Dango, or Boys Before Flowers which is also published in the 1990's.

In this blogpost, I'm going to discuss about the drama adaptations (Japan and Korea).

Because of it's overwhelming success, it has been adapted to several anime and dramas. Before I started with the drama adaptations, let's start with the basic informations

Plot: 

Aihara Kotoko (Korea: Oh Ha Ni), a dumb-class-f originated girl falls in love with the genius Irie Naoki (Korea: Baek Seung Jo) for almost 3 years. Finally, she confessed to Naoki, but ended up getting dumped. When suddenly a shooting star/meteor destoryed her new house, Kotoko and her father decided to move in to his father's bestfriend's house. Kotoko is surprised to learn that Naoki lives there too.

Character: Annoying, naive, weak duckling, a day-dreaming type of girl

Character: cold-blooded, secretly cares for Ha Ni, lonely

Character: Not-so-annoying, strong, tries hard to stop loving Naoki, cute 

The Genius (and super handsome one): Irie Naoki (Potrayed by Furukawa Yuki)

Character: Cold, looks down on stupid people, loves to play with Kotoko's feelings
