She likes to take care of her group mates a lot. She is one of the childish one. She always thinks that first impression is very important. She can be shy easily when she is nagged. She always wears a smile wherever she goes. She's also known for being the shikshin (Food God), she likes to eat and always steals food from her groupmates. She hates it when she makes mistakes on stage. She won't admit it but she have the most aegyo among her group. She can also be very y and charismatic if she needed to. She was born and raised in Gwangju, South Korea. She is the youngest among the family. She has an older brother and an older sister, Yunho and Jihye respectively. She attended Gwangju Foreign School until she was 15. She was not a very good student and does cut class every other day. She's a part of the school council though she honestly think she doesn't deserve the position and a part of the school's dance troupe. She learned wushu when she was 10 until now. When she was 15, she transferred to Seoul to study in School of Performing Arts Seoul. She was a top student in her school, she won several awards due to her wushu skills and was sent to China when she was 13 for a contest against EXO's Tao. She auditioned in SMent, when she was 14 and luckily was accepted. At first her parents were against this idea that she will follow her brother's footsteps. Her parents and herself had a huge fight that made her leave home and stay with Yunho. Her brother, Jung Yunho was always been by her side, when she started training. He doesn't let anyone hurt her. When the issue about DBSK split came up, her brother decided to transfer her to another company which was TS Entertainment. She didn't understand it at first and questioned her brother a lot about it but her brother just wouldn't answer her. She transferred when Jaejoong, her brother's former groupmate advised her to do so. Yunho and Soomin had a huge fight with their parents again because of the thing that Soomin was actually overworked by SMent one reason why he transferred her. Soomin and Yunho left Gwangju though their parents told Soomin to stay. After a year, she went back to SMent due to her scandal and rivalry with Secret's Zinger. She was actually tired of transferring so she sticked to SMent. Until she debuted, she had no parents that supports her just her brother and older sister.
