Getting Personal.

     Personality:

► She's the typical "popular" girl and just loves to have fun.  Eunji is outgoing enough to start conversations with strangers she finds cute, but she can also be a bit rude and brush off people (not intentionally- she just doesn't notice them since there's so many people around her). She has a lot of friends, but she's really flighty and doesn't keep them for a while. If you're in the middle of shopping or hanging out with her, unless you're her super close friends which is a small, select few, she would probably field a call in the middle and leave you by your self for 10 minutes. If you're someone she dislikes (such as a boyfriend who's gotten way too naggy), she might even forget about your plans altogether, if somebody else is throwing a party or something more fun. At least she'll send a text your way though, so you don't spend hours waiting in front of the movie theater and wondering where she is. There's times she kind of does this to people she actually wants to be friends with, but she always tries to make it up to them later (that often ends up as a repeat though.) As a result, a lot of people come into her friend group, stay for a couple months, and then leave once they realize they'll never become besties with her. But she's the kind of girl everyone wants to be friends with, so she makes new ones when she loses them.

Eunji also has a dorky side, but she tries to hide it because she thinks that it's embarrassing and stupid and childish. A Star Wars fanatic, as well as a lover of comic books and manga, she and Daesung spent tons of afternoons acting out scenes and creating their own storylines and pretending to be superheroes. When she broke her arm in 8th grade and was in a cast, she thought the funniest thing ever would be to sign in entirely in fake names and tried writing messages to herself to fit each person (Most were normal "get well soon" messages, except she decided Shakespeare should sign her cast too and wrote herself a super long poem praising her beauty and cleverness. When Daesung saw it, he changed it to call her a stinky old fart.) She also still has childish ideas, like putting glow-in-the dark planets on her dorm room celing and giving her stuffed animals ridiculous names like Captain Pumpernickle (a dog plushie), Hottie Biscotti (a bear with a moustach and dressed as a baker), Chairman Meow (fluffy cat), and Mister Ugly Face (a super digured monkey thing that she found in her closet one day. it's really soft though, so she keeps it.) In fact, after going to university, Daesung (her love interest) is the only one who knows exactly how dorky Eunji can be. Most people only see bits and pieces of it, especially when she's trying to come off as funny.

Overall, she's not mean; she just isn't the stereotypical nice girl. University is the time to experiment and have fun, she figures, so why be tied down? So she'll just do what's fun and if she accidentally forgets a class or date, she's sorry but not that sorry. She gets over losses quickly because she hasn't lost anything or anyone truly important to her, and most people forgive her after a while because she truly doesn't mean to hurt people. It just something that happens.

     Background:
► Eunji was born in Busan, but her dad had a job transfer when she was 7 and they moved to a four-room apartment in Seoul, and it just so happened that the family across the hallway also had a child her age. And so begins the friendship of Choi Eunji and Lee Daesung. Her childhood is filled with afternoons reading comics and manga, watching anime, and playing with action figures under the kitchen table (all with Daesung of course.)

In middle school, she goes through a bookworm phase and Daesung joins her, and the afternoons of cartoons transform into days of reading books and gushing over their favorite books and debating the merits of characters. At this time, Eunji has blunt bangs and glasses and is pretty much a nerd, but she doesn't care. This is fun, and she sees no reason why there's anything wrong with loving sci-fi.

But in high school, everything changes. Daesung and Eunji make new friends, of course, but they aren't the highest in the social pecking order. Daesung doesn't care and neither does Eunji at first. But Eunji is also really friendly and pretty so she makes friends outside of their group. She starts sitting with other people at lunch more and more. It's not that she dislikes being unpopular; she just doesn't like it and her other friends are just as cool and fun to be around. (Someone may or may not have also made a hurtful comment about Eunji being a complete nerd and loser- Eunji vehemently denies anything of the sort happening although she may have mumbled the story to Daesung while they were both half-asleep during a movie marathon.) Afterwards, there's significantly less slamming-into-lockers and lunch-money-stealing to Daesung's friends, and though she hangs out with other people, she still considers them her clique to be her friends. And she still hangs out with Daesung almost every day, when she hasn't made plans with her other friends and he doesn't have orchestra practice, and they're as close as ever.

Both Daesung and Eunji get into the same college. Eunji goes because it's one of the few that accepted her (her grades had started slipping when she went out more and more) and Daesung chose that school because it had a really good music program and his decision had nothing to do with Eunji (well, maybe a little, he admits.) But Eunji becomes a classic partier and goes out clubbing every weekend and goes to parties and gets drunk. And it's always Daesung that she calls to pick her up (because she knows he won't leave her stranded.) Some people might think she's just using Daesung, but Eunji genuinely cares for him (sometimes more than for her current boyfriend. sometimes.) Eunji would sacrifice as much to help Daesung as Daesung does for her, but her flightiness makes it hard to show how much she cares for him.

     Present
►Eunji is in her second year of university, where she's majoring in Accounting because it seemed to satisfy her parents. She's not doing that great, mostly because she puts in minimal effort (honestly it's the most boring subject ever.) If she had the motivation, she'd switch majors but at the moment, she doesn't really care. She usually has a boyfriend breaks up with them after a few months.

Although her old home isn't far, she lives on-campus. Last year, she was in a freshman dorm and hated it- way too many rules and people watching over her shoulder. Now, she's rooms with her best girl friend, Yongjoo, and they're in the newest dormitory on campus (Yongjoo may or may not have pulled some strings to get in.) Their room surprisingly nice. It's two rooms and a bathroom, and although each room is pretty tiny, and they could just barely fit two beds into the bedroom, it's miles better than Eunji's freshman dorm. It's also nice because Yongjoo is also a partier, so they can go out, get drunk, and commiserate in mutual hangover-ness in the morning.

     Likes:
» Having fun: She like getting dressed up and not really having to think- just do. This includes clubbing, partying, and living the high life.

» Sci Fi: Her favorite genre (although she doesn't let other people know that.) She's watched all the Star Wars movies with Korean subtitles and her bookshelf at home is filled with dozens of novels. Eunji likes the genre because it's entertaining and takes her to a place that's way more interesting than her own life.

» Geography: She likes reading about places that are really different from where she lives. She's never been outside Korea, so all she knows is what's in books, but she hopes to travel the world someday. Above her desk is a world map, where she highlights all the countries she'd like to visit.

» Dancing: Well, not legit dancing, but more like club dancing. It's fun and she figures it's all the exercise she needs.

     Dislikes:
» Drugs: She'd never do anything that would permanently screw her life up. She's okay with alcohol, but she'd never do anything more (which includes cigarettes, weed, etc.) not even under peer pressure.

» Chocolate: She's one of the few, but she doesn't like the taste. She's a big fan of white chocolate though

» Winter: Eunji used to dream of moving to somewhere tropical where it never snowed She wishes she could go year round in shorts.

» Short Hair: She cut her hair to a bob in middle school. It was the worst decision of her life and now she never lets it get shorter than her shoulders.

» Rings: Her fingers are awkwardly skinny so she rarely finds rings that fit her. She also tends to lose them, when she takes them off to wash her hands.

     Hobbies:

» Reading: She doesn't do it as much now, but it's still something she enjoys. When she goes back home, she revisits her childhood favorites and falls in love with the stories all over again.

» Makeup: She watches a lot of guru videos and puts a lot of effort into her makeup skills.  She wears a bit of eyeliner and lipstick every day, even if she's not doing much. A bright red lipstick is her weakness.

     Habits:
» She plays with her hair a lot when she bored and twirls it around her fingers and such.

» She cleans when she's stressed or should be doing homework. So usually, her room is spotless but her assignments are unfinished.

     Trivia:

» She's really unathletic and hasn't played any sports other than taking martial arts throughout middle school and high school. (Her dad does martial arts too and loves action movies which is why he signed her up for them. She just kind of went with it)

» Her metabolism is really good and she hasn't had to worry about it slowing down quite yet. She loves to eat, especially in a social setting.

» She's scared of jellyfish because when she went to the beach one summer, she got stung. She avoids oceans at all costs now and sticks with swimming pools.

Faces.

     Ulzzang Name: Park Sora
               Pictures: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7

     Back-Up Ulzzang: Jung Min Hee
               Pictures: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7

Style: It's a combination of lazy and clubby. When she hangs out with Daesung or goes to class, usually she'll just be wearing whatever's clean and comfortable. (And only in her dorm room or around Daesung does she wear her glasses) Usually this means a random shirt, sweatshirt, or oversized sweater with jeans. When she's clubbing or partying, she'll put more effort into her clothing, but it's more "y" - a lot of curve-hugging dresses and tight skirts. If she has to be presentable (and not for partying), she tends to be more boho and easygoing- lots of loose clothing (and another) and cute detail and hats and long, floaty skirts and relaxed outfits. (Not to say she doesn't enjoy dressing up. But she tends to pick outfits that are still pretty relaxed
Addtl. Info: Tattoo of three soaring birds on her back. Normal pierced ears. 166 cm and 60 kg. Has curves (kind of an hourglass figure)

Connections.

     Family:

  • Choi Minwoo | father | 49 | manager for a large corporation | Alive | hardworking, busy, serious, kind  | Normal father-daughter relationship. He tries to avoid talking about boys and stuff and steers the conversation towards school (It's not that he's against her having a boyfriend. He's just bad at handling this stuff and let's her mother deal with it) | He's not around much because of his job, but he tries his best to be a good father (which he is.) He unintentionally pushes Eunji into pursuing Accounting but most of all, he just wants her to have a secure future.
  • Lee Ga Yun | mother | 47 | none currently; used to work in Advertising | Alive | friendly, warm-hearted, a little forgetful, cheerful | Normal mother-daughter relationship (ugh I have no idea how to describe these sorry) Eunji goes to her mother for advice sometimes about boys and friendship and things. She kind of hides the extent of her partying from her though. | Eunji definitely takes from her mother in terms of looks and personality. Her mother also secretly cheers for Daesung/Eunji to get together.

     Friends:

  • Jung Yongjoo/Nicole | close friends | 21 | student majoring in Graphic Design | Alive | bubbly, friendly, a little judgemental, enthusiastic | They're both party girls and love to have fun with each other. | Eunji thinks Yongjoo is really cool because she spend a few years in the US (where she picked up the name Nicole; now she just uses it to get boys more intrigued with her) and get Nicole to tell her a lot of stories about living there.
  • Kim Suhyun | close friends | 19 | student with undecided major | Alive | risk-taker, stubborn, loud, energetic | Another one of Eunji's partier friends. | Suhyun is actually pretty smart, but she pretends she's dumb. Also, she skipped a grade but very few people know this.
  • Kang Daesung | Best Friend and Love Interest | 21 | student majoring in Music | Alive | easy going, helpful, playful, all-around nice guy | They're really comfortable around each other since they've been best friends since forever. It's easy to be around each other and they feel like there's not really anything to hide.

Rivals (aka ex-boyfriends. not all of these bad feelings towards her- they just don't think she's some perfect goddess or anything):

  • Lee Taehyun | 22 | student majoring in -ry (actually Business- he wants to be a hotshot executive) | headstrong, loud, kind of stupid, pretty much a douchebag | Her ex (the one mentioned below that makes her cry) and he's a jerk who like feeling superior to other people. A lot of people want to punch him in the face (unfortunately, he's very good-looking so he's also kind of popular too)
  • Kim Minjoon| 20 | student majoring in Biology | a little shy, bubbly, cheerful, slightly insecure | She broke up with him and he was heartbroken. But he got over it eventually (and met this cute girl from the chemistry department so all was well)
  • Kim Sukhyun | 23 | Teaching Assistant for Statistics | focused, sharp, witty, decisive | A TA she hooks up with at a club. Possibly worst decision of her life because that's not supposed to happen (he looked really young though! she though it was a student from their school). They both agree to pretend that never happened and he kind of ignores she exists now because he actually had a girlfriend at the time (oops! Well, he was drunk...) Eunji realizes this and thinks he's an utter jerk for cheating and would use this against him if she wanted to get something from him.

Afraid We Might Grow Apart.

Love Interest: Kang Daesung of Big Bang
               Age + Birthdate: 23 + April 23, 1989
               Occupation: Student, Music Major
               Personality:
He's very kind-hearted and sweet. He cares a lot about his close friends and he'd do anything for them. Daesung's the guy you would call if your car was stranded in the middle of nowhere because he'd drop everything and drive for 40 hours straight just to pick you up. He doesn't like burdening people, so when he's hurt, he won't show it and just brushes it off. But he also knows that a lot of his friends would do the same to him (because he's the kind of friend that people value- the kind you know always has your back even when you don't deserve it)
Daesung is also very passionate about music and he dedicates countless hours practicing and composing. He's the top of his class, not just because of his natural talent but also because he works so hard at it and puts absolutely 100% into everything he turns in. Music is his air, his dreams, and his ambition- he doesn't know what he wants to do exactly after he graduates; all he knows is that music has  to be a part of it and he can't imagine a life without a keyboard and voice. Music is something he's very stubborn and driven about.

He's also not very decisive and he'll put off making big decisions, especially if they'll definitely cause harm or change things he's satisfied with, which is why he never tells Eunji that he likes her even though he's had a crush on her for many years. But it also kills him inside whenever she cries or is hurt, not only because of his crush on her, but because he's her friend and he hates seeing her upset.

How you met: As I described in her background, when she moved to Seoul, he was the first kid her age she met and they became fast friends. He lived in the apartment across the hallway from hers.
How you act around each other: They are very comfortable around each other- the kind of comfort that comes from knowing someone you're entire life. They've geeked out and been gross in front of each other and they know that the other person won't care. Each can always make the other laugh or cheer up on a bad day, and they can tell when the other person is having an off day because they know each other like the back of their hand. Above all, they are comfortable and happy being with the other person, whether just making small talk, wandering around town, or sitting in complete silence.

Back-Up Love Interest: Kim Sunggyu of Infinite
               Age + Birthdate: 23 + April 28, 1989
               Occupation: Student, Music Major
               Personality:
Sunggyu is very intense and quiet; he had a lot of trouble making friends. In high school, he joined a band and that's when his friend group began expanding. Still, he only has a few friends that he considers close and Eunji is one of them. He's kind of intimidating at first because he wears ripped leather jackets and uses a lot of eyeliner, but when you get to know him, you'll find he's actually very sweet.
He dislikes unexpected situations because he can't plan for them ahead of time. When he does know something will occur (and usually something he doesn't like), then he'll plan out exactly what will happen and what he should do. He has a lot of trouble conveying his thoughts and opinions though and tends to just express them through music.
His opinion of music is very similar to Daesung's (see second paragraph above)
How you met: Same as above
How you act around each other: Same as above

How long have you been friends?
► Around 13 years. They've always held similar interests when they were young- mainly cartoons and action figures and reading.

Have you ever thought of your friend as something more?
► Nope. But if someone brought it up, she wouldn't be adverse to the idea. It's just something she's never considered.

How many boyfriends have you had ever since you became friends with him?
► Several. Approximate guesses would be two or three in high school and around 6 so far in college (although she's had one night stands as well)

Give an example of him comforting you when your boyfriends hurt you?
► One of her old boyfriends breaks up with her and basically calls her a useless, stupid and says she'll never go anywhere in life and that people only like her because she's pretty. Eunji didn't actually like him that much but his words were really hurtful so she breaks down in tears and doesn't come out of her room for a couple days. So even though they haven't hung out in a while, Daesung comes over with a tub of cookie dough ice creams and an old Star Wars film and they spend the night making fun of Darth Vader and have an impromptu light saber battle with a broom and a wrapping paper tube. When they fall asleep, Eunji is still half-smiling and she's completely forgotten why she cared so much about what her ex said.

Has your friend ever stopped you from dating another guy? If yes, did you trust him?
► She was going to ask out one of the guys from the music department who sang really well and had bleached hair and was kind of like a rock star, but Daesung warned her off him because one of his other friends, this shy, mousy girl was hoping to ask him out. Eunji backs off him because Daesung asked and she thinks those two would be much cuter together anyway.

The Library.

What is your connection to the library?
► Daesung loves the place and visits it frequently, especially when he's feeling down or has no inspiration for a composition.

Eunji only knows about the music library from Daesung and she's not really interested in it. I do have this idea though: Like, there's some drama going on and it's a bit after Eunji starts to realize she has feelings for Daesung and Daesung has made hints and things but hasn't got the courage to outright confess yet. They get into an argument and she says something  really stupid and hurtful-maybe about his weight?- and he runs away and she feels horrible and texts him frantically and spends the whole afternoon trying to find him. She ends up in the music library as one of the places she's looking and he finally texts her back when she's in the lobby (fate right? the one place where cell phones are allowed in the library) and she apologizes and he says he's working on a music composition (he tends to lock himself up in a room and just put all his feelings into songs and piano when he's upset), they text back and forth for over half an hour and when Eunji's satisfied that he's okay and she'll go find him later to apologize even more and try to make it up to him, she goes into the library because why not? And she finds the CD and listens to it and the lyrics, especially "In case you go far away, I'm scared/ What if our relationship becomes really awkward/ And we grow far apart," are exactly how she's feeling too and they make her realize how much she cares about Daesung, more than she cares about her other friends or lovers and how scared she would be of losing him. She never comes back to the library , but she downloads the song on her iPod and plays it on repeat (feel free to tell me to change this or cut it or whatever. This answered the other questions too so I'll just leave it like this. um yeah, serious word vomit up there)

(All these other questions are for Daesung)

How did you find out about the library?:
► One of his professors, an ancient old man with lots of wrinkles and grey hair but is actually pretty cool, mentions it to him when he was stuck on a composition.

How did you find your destined song?
► He was going through the classical music section and someone misplaced it between a couple of Beethoven's symphonies. He grabs the whole stack and ends up with C-Clown's album as well.

Do you plan on going back to the Music Library?:
► Yes- the place is amazing.

Goodbye is the New Hello.

     Comments, Suggestions, Violent Reactions?
► Here's some other things I'd like to add after your review of my application (I wasn't sure where they should go OTL)

► Also, I originally picked other lovers so they could match her age but I wanted to pick Daesung (and Sunggyu) so because of their personalities (and gorgeous voices.) He's a little older than her but I'd like for he to be in the same grade as her. Maybe he started school late?

     Scene Requests?:
► Maybe a cute scene with Eunji nerdy out with Daesung. Or if some girl starts flirting with Daesung and Eunji gets jealous (after she starts to realize she might actually like him.)

     Password?
                it's the onew condition~

     Anything Goes:
