So me and some friends were sitting in the hallway, eating our lunch, just like any normal day. We looked up and say three girls; each holding a sign. One said "Do you..." the next said "Choo-choo-choose..." and the next said "Eric Nguyen..."

We didn't understand it at first. We thought it was some kind of promotion, a campaign. At my school it happens often when the older grades will advertise something by running around with signs and yelling, so we simply brushed it off like it was nothing.

But then, Eric Nguyen himself came through the stairs, holding a rose and a fourth sign. He was wearing dress clothes and when we read his sign it said:

"...to PROM?" 

Of course, we started to get pretty excited, and I got my camera ready, waiting for something huge.

Then suddenly, Jimmy Song bursts around the corner and runs to the sign holders, bearing the news; "They're coming!!"

The sign holders and Eric readied the signs, when something happened that I wasn't expecting at all.

A huge crowd of people turned the corner, holding cardboard around them, chanting "Chugga-chugga, chugga-chugga, chugga-chugga..." train noises, in other words. The "train" had a smiley face at the front, haha.

Suddenly, the person in the front of the train, who was dragging a girl alongside him, yelled "STOP THE TRAIN!" And the crowd came to a halt. The same man at the front of the train yelled the girl's name, followed by:

"DO YOU CHOO-CHOO-CHOOSE ERIC NGUYEN FOR PROM??"

The entire hallway burst into applause and cheering, and some people chanted Eric's name. 

The girl said yes, of course!

That was pretty exciting! I suppose it's normal for a crazy school like this one, but it's only my first year, so I'm still getting used to all the weird stuff that happens all the time around here.
