So it's my birthday today! Well, the 16th of April is, at least. So, since I've been having a nice day, here's a little sneak sneak preview of the EXO fic I'm writing with my best friend, Lucario-sama. XD Some of you might know about it, some of you might not. Don't panic, this is the serious part, but it's actually not that angsty. Next round, I'll post a funny excerpt. Enjoy!

A deep red sun relented its monopoly on the sky, reluctantly ceding to the constant lull of night. Midnight black tendrils encroached upon the maroon-tinted expanse as the first of two moons drifted aimlessly, floating in the midst of lackluster, indistinguishable stars that occasionally interrupted the charcoal heavens. A finger traced along the cool surface of glass, trying to find a distinct pattern, an irrefutable sign in the midst of turmoil and darkness. The only bright glimmer that remained was a cluster of stars that banded together in the thick of midnight black; the troubled hand flattened on the icy window pane, a mild voice counting out twelve, but with each syllable, the suffocating gloom painstakingly overwhelmed their light, growing darker, darker, darker...
