Please Pray for the People of Boston
There has been two explosions today near the finish line of the Boston Marathon at around 3 PM. At least 2 are killed, more than 20 are injured.
A third explosion occurred at the JFK library about half an hour ago.
If you are not religious, please at least lend your thoughts. Even though I was only 4 when 9/11 happened, I cannot help but be reminded of the scars that terrorists inflict on their victims, the families of the victims, and the entire nation.
I take my safety way too much for granted, I suppose. Right now it's really peaceful where I live, even though I live 30 minutes away from both a major city and the nation's captial. It's amazing how this event can suddenly turn my dreams of being safe in a city into where I'm scared of being in such places due to violence and danger.
Boston has a special place in my heart, because it's where my sister went to college and where I want to go to college as well. The people and the history there are irreplacable.
I hope the criminals will be caught soon, and I hope all of you will stay safe. If you are in a country or a place that has a high probability of violence and danger, my thoughts are with you. I hope you will all stay safe.
Boston, our hearts and our wishes go to you.
Please, let us hope for peace.
