Self Writing Reflection (Source from TaeminnieMie)

[ 1 ] How many fics have you started? (No matter how few it is, you can give yourself a pat on the back for demonstrating initiative.)

As of today, I have thirty-four fan fictions. Many of them were unfinished by its chapters because I’m very conflict of my class schedules and I didn’t have time to edit and encode some stories. Few of my stories were completed because they’re all done since vacation days.

[ 2 ] How many fics have you completed? (Now, if it’s greater than zero, you can give yourself another pat on the back for demonstrating commitment.)

Two…. Actually, many of my fan-fictions were not updated some chapters and I’m always checking where subscribers subscribed and viewed my stories. Sometimes, I’ve edited them when there are mistakes. Because the real thing is, writing stories and add some chapters doesn’t mean they’re easy to write. No! Writing stories are hard to think what’s your topic and genre what you make. They’re hard to identify and study the next storylines in the plot.

[ 3 ] What is your very first fic? What inspired and motivated you to write it? How do you feel and what do you think about it now?

My very first fan-fiction is “No Other Lover”. This story is an adaptation of No Other Woman, a Philippine adult movie. The characters there are four. Two of them were from Super Junior (Siwon and Kyuhyun) and the other one were 2PM (Taecyeon and Nichkhun). I’m very inspired to write that because I gave my time to write a fan-fiction as leisure stuff. I write that based on my ideas and my milieu. Everywhere around the environment. I’m very pressured about it when I feel something different…*laughs*. And for me? What do I think about that?...um…the characters on that story are becoming real in actual life; not exactly on the story. Friendship will never fade again.

[ 4 ] Which fic of yours do you think is the most well written? Why?

All of them were well-written. But for me, the fan-fictions which were well-written are “A Taste Of Romance” and “Of All The Things”. I chose these ‘fictions’ on my own understanding because I carefully used grammatical words to make sentences structured and easy to understand. Not because of situations that I write for, but also the ideas of what readers could expect for.

[ 5 ] Which fic of yours do you think is the most poorly written? Why?

Oh! *laughs so hard* my gosh! That question is a tough one. I couldn’t answer that…My fan fiction that is “poorly written what I mean…is…”The Riverside” because 2AM and 2PM collaboration are almost a big problem because I couldn’t gave dialogues due to run of short out of time.

[ 6 ] Which fic is your favorite out of the ones you’ve written? Why?

Hmmm…”A Taste Of Romance” and “Of All The Things”. When I focused on the first thing, it makes me comfortable when encoding. I’m very happy that some people subscribe to that story because they loved their favorite KPOP idols in one story. It shows how a person knew the truth about the job he had given and accepting true love from the person he really hate it. The second one shows a person who doesn’t like to fall in love again. He thought himself that true love is not a real thing because it could happen again in his past. And there’s a guy who will change his heart and explains how true love is important to make the main character understands and realizes. It such a painful to him but accept what’s good and what’s bad.

[ 7 ] Which fic is your least favorite out of the ones you’ve written? Why?

I think its “I Love You Daddy.” Because it’s all about the real love of his family and he will choose a girl who will fits his heart to make his daughter happy…Nah! I couldn’t explain briefly…*laughs*

[ 8 ] Which character that you’ve written (does not have to be an OC; can be your portrayal of an idol) do you believe most closely resembles you?

Most of my stories were from my favorite KPOP groups because I couldn’t chose one group as a medium of a single story. Not all KPOP groups become trending in my mind because I’m not familiarized them…honestly speaking. Let me guess, I asked myself why EXO is trending? Why INFINITE is trending, too? It must be a big change. Anyway, that’s my commentary. My characters in some stories were from SUPER JUNIOR, 2PM, DBSK (not the present day that they were two.) and SHINEE. Sometimes, I collaborate them to other groups in a biggest story that I expect. Personally, my favorite character there is YUNHO. Aside from his manly looks, he fits his role as a ert in terms of JAEJOONG. I described him as the beefcake of the story because he’s totally a maniac yet y person. If people would ask me what character resembles my personality…it would be KYUHYUN from “Of All The Things” because he’s very moody and talented person like me. His dialogues reflect on me for the future generation. First of all, I don’t like short-term relationships because it razes the person’s heart. And I’m expecting that when I would fall in love with a girl…I will not break my relationship. I’m asking God that could this girl will be my forever in my heart? He will say yes or no by prayer. I will wait God’s answer if the girl was the right one.

[ 9 ] What are the most common topics and themes that dominate your stories?

Most stories are all romance drama, mature added with *oooh* and a little horror. My sister told me that my stories were applicable to adults; not for young children. Honestly, that’s my favorite.

[ 10 ] What do you think are your strengths when it comes to writing? Be specific.

My strengths in terms of writing are reading, identifying and understanding. Reading is the essential part of your life and a remedy of your brain. Not all people could read books thoroughly because books treated them as a junk sometimes they’re useless. For me, I loved reading books every time when I’m reading on it and I had something to think about what I’m reading. Identifying and understanding; two of them are applied on my mind because I love discovering things from other cultures and understand what’s real and what’s not. These two are my remedies because my teachers teach me very well and they explained things that are in common.

[ 11 ] What do you think are your weaknesses when it comes to writing? Be specific.

I think, my weaknesses in writing…are lacking of new ideas and stress. I usually woke up earlier to writing more chapters but I failed to do that. In school, I usually don’t write them because it could be affected on my studies. I logged on this website for checking some updates and hanging out with friends by writing some wall posts. Then, I forgot some ideas that are planned on my storyline. That’s why.

[ 12 ] In what ways do you think you have improved since you first began writing fan fiction?

Honestly speaking, yes. I would improve my time management and reading a lot of books and articles. I would add also, my English.

[ 13 ] In what ways do you think your writing reflects you?

I feel comfortable that writing is an essential part of my life because writing is like reading books and magazines, too. When you read something, you take note of it and share it from the ones you love.

[ 14 ] Why do you write?

I write because I want to share my viewers and readers about my personal writing style and I want to tell them about it based on the lessons, milieus and other things that I applied on my mind. I wonder why many people subscribed my stories even though they’re not finished completely. Not because of the general view but they loved to read my stories eventually. They will subscribe my stories and I’m asking them why they love it.

[ 15 ] How do you evaluate yourself as a writer? How do you define your success a writer?

I think, I’m already a writer and a reader also. I started to draw posters to make a new story and share your readers what’s the story about. Writing is not a very easy thing without reading books. The only thing you could write a story is to read books and applied it to your own understanding. Then, my teacher told me that I’m going to write something based on my experiences and…practice writing and writing until you become a pro. I defined my success as a writer by using my writing skills and the lessons in English that I’ve learned from the past years.

[ 16 ] What do you think it means to be a writer?

To be a writer is to answer some questions written on my mind. And you will answer these:  Think about your reader’s opinion. Think about what genre you would like to write a story. Think about the objectives why you like to write that story. Lastly, think about what would be the conclusion of the story. Just like making term paper, it’s very strict when it comes to writing from the topic that you choose. Then, check the errors if necessary. Make them clean and full of life. For those people who would like to write stories, read books and other resource materials so that you can make new ideas. Just like mine.

I hope that this questionnaire will applied it from you. Thanks...

P.S. this questions are not mine. Some questions are from other users
