Lightswork and Some Free Video Editing Programs

So do you guys know about Lightswork? Or use it? Or know someone that uses it? I just know that it's a free video editing program that is available for Windows and I think Linux. I'm considering to download and use this, but I want to know some more about it from people who've experienced it for trailer making..Is it good? If you know, please do share with me. Oh, and Lightswork is professional, good, and free to use!

By the way, I found some free video editing programs and I'll share it with you. However, all the information that I'm giving about it is only my opinions..I may be off or right on the nose.

(Scroll all the way down and click on the blog post I linked for more video editing programs that are free to use. Also, in that blog post I linked, there are the download sites and pretty much everything you need to know about the programs.)

1. Windows Movie Maker

Okay, so everyone knows this. Not much to say. It's free and simple to use. Not complicated, and everything is straight forward in it..

2. Windows Live Movie Maker

Everyone knows this too. I have a question though..Is this like the regular one? What's the difference between this and the other one? Is the live on better? I've heard completely different stories about both. I use Windows Movie Maker, so I don't have much to say about this live one.

3. Wax

I've seen this in quite a few sites. I don't know much about it though. Except that it's free. And that it's good for beginners, I think..The pictures of it seem pretty cool..I guess.

4. Video Spin

Er...Not much to say about this one..I honestly don't know much about it. It seems like it's not too hard to use or too easy...I may be wrong..

5. Zwei-Stein

The name is odd..Who knows what it means? Anyways, this looks really cool and useful for video editing/trailer making! I would get it, but it's far too advanced for me. Aha! There's the catch. This is for experienced people. Professionals. I have a long way to go before using this. However, I am planning to get this once I improve on my trailer making skills. And after I've made a few, of course..Lol, I'm still working on my first one. I gave up on it, though..At least for now..It's a mess.

6. Avid FreeDV

I've heard that this one is similar to Zwei-Stein. The difference is that this is even more complicated! Wow..Can you imagine that? The Zwei-Stein already seems complicated enough, but this is like a whole different world for me. I guess free things cost a lot of experience..Huh..So nothing is really free after all..Even the easy ones to use..The results may or may not be that good, I guess..

7. Blender

I've heard tons about this one. I know that it's for 3D graphics though..Animations, renders, and stuff like that. If you're interested in animations, renders, etc. I guess this one will be the one. I'm not sure, but to me, it looks quite complicated.

8. Wondershare

This is a good one. I'm using it, but it says it's a trial..I've gotten it for a while now, and it's still working fine for me..I'm not sure why though..Everytime I open it, I click 'free trial.' I guess that's like starting all over agian within every click of it? Anyway, I really like this one. It looks good. I just messed up with splitting the videos, and the trailer is messed up now. I don't have time or patience to redo it yet. Once I find that urge to redo it, I will. And I'll be using this one. Or maybe I'll use Windows Movie Maker instead..

9. Moviestorm

I actually downloaded this. And I'm so confused with it. I don't really know why I downloaded it. This is similar to Blender. It's for 3D art as well. To me, it's super confusing. Maybe I'll learn how to use it properly one day..So far, I've been doing random things with this.

10. Virtual Dub

I see this one everywhere. I never got it though. I don't know why..Some programs just seem to get my attention. This one didn't. This one seems pretty cool too, though. It's free, easy to use, and the results seem to be good.

11. EZVID

I see this one everywhere. I know nothing about this, though. People say it's good. They say that it comes in handy. Maybe you'll give it a shot?

12. Movica

I don't see this one often. It seems like it's good to use to make movies, though. I didn't try this one, so I don't really have much to say..Maybe this will come in handy for trailer making? Thus the name of it..

13. Video Pad

Okay, so most of you probably have not heard of this one before. I think I've only seen this in one or two sites. It's not that bad, though..To be honest, I think it's kind of like Windows Movie Maker..Maybe this is just a tad bit more advanced than WMM, though. Lol, I know this because..I downloaded it! And tried it out! It's a little confusing at first, but I got used to the tools by playing with it for just a few hours. It's simple, and well, free..The results may be good or it may not be..I don't know. I haven't accomplished my goal of finishing even one trailer yet. It's hard..

So those are some of the ones I know. I'm dead tired. I'm sick, barely got any sleep, and still have some homework to do. Maybe I'll continue this list with another blog post once I get some sleep. Anyway, I hope this was helpful to people..
