jaehwa, like her brother jaebum, is mischievious and playful to an extent. she is much like heedless a heedless child that needs to relentlessly be reminded that she is no longer a small kid, but now a young adult. however, jaehwa is also kind, understanding, and often much more mature than jaebum, despite the fact that she is the younger twin. separation from jaebum results in jaehwa's easy-going and warm character; when parted from her brother, jaehwa often becomes even more serious and selfless, which evidently contrasts the playful and childish attitude that is more typically present.

it is becaue jaehwa can be so selfless that she earns herself such a vulnerable and naive character. her child-like mindset and giving nature often leads jaehwa into trouble, which often involves others taking advantage of her. most that know jaehwa or even know of jaehwa would deem her to be a bit annoying because of her sheltered way of thinking. jaehwa has only one way of thinking; she's narrow-minded and tends to believe that there is only one solution to every thing in the world.

in addition, jaehwa is often found asking questions that have obvious answers; she is not necessarily considered the brightest crayon in the crayon box. her sheltered upbringing plays a tremendous role in jaehwa's life and this is why: she had spent so long shutting out the world and being shut out by the world, that sometimes she doesn't know how to act around others. this often results in her saying insensitive things, asking rather pointless questions, or being awkward with those that are supposedly her friends. although jaehwa is evidently mature for her age, she still has to learn how to respect other people's decisions and beliefs, and still needs to learn how to be more open-minded like an adult rather than a child.

[ history ]

jaehwa is the younger twin of jaebum, and the two have grew up never being apart from the other. they became heavily codependent on each other. the mother is a typical pediatric nurse, whereas the father is a highly-renowned web developer. jaehwa –with the incusion of jaebum– seems to take more after her mother in both appearance and personality. the father is not always at home, thus resulting in the rather withdrawn relationship that is found between the father and his children. jaehwa has experienced a rather sheltered upbringing, though, because the pediatric nurse of mother has seen many ruthless things in the emergency ward of her clinic; that has contributed to their mother's paranoia in a sense, and jaehwa (as well as jaebum) were kept rather withdrawn from the rest of the world.

however, despite the shadowed childhood, jaehwa grew out of their mother's over-protective feats. they grew up just like any other average teenagers and have only recently learned to open up and become friends with other people. with a stable income, a healthy relationship within the kin members, and a nice home to stay in, jaehwa can't really complain much about her lifestyle; she's as average as the next person down the street and enjoys it that way. jaehwa is now friends with many people from both work and her university, and is very protective of them in a sense; she's reticent in exposing too much of her emotions however, and is thereby pronounced to be more reasonable than her brother, who still has yet to learn more about reality than jaehwa.

[ work ethics ]

jaehwa excels only in limited fields – those being the things she takes interests in. if jaehwa doesn't find it interesting or befitting to her, she won't participate much in it. her work ethic is very particular, and she tends to be very choosy. however, if it is something she finds herself enjoying, she can be a very diligent and virtuous character. she performs all her tasks with a smile and can be a very positive trooper about it as well.

jaehwa is quite affable with both customers and co-workers. she is a good sport with good intentions; she listens well to her seniors and treats her juniors with just as much respect as the former. though keeping in mind that jaehwa is very childish, there can be some moments in her work that she is found whining about the tedious and overwhelming work loads; these instances often come by during rush hours or dinner hours where customers are not just hungry, but cranky and in a rush. jaehwa tries her best; although there could be moments where one can easily decipher the strain behind her civil smile.

jaehwa is most definitely on the shorter and more sadly, the flatter side. she has long, dark brown hair that falls in wispy waves towards the area around her bosom. the dark brown is actually dyed, however and it is lighter compared to the original black that jaehwa was born with; she wears her hair down and often combs her hair back over her head so her forehead is left to be exposed. jaehwa has onyx-colored eyes, dark and round, giving her an innocent demeanor. her face is thin and her face is pale.

she wears earrings, one on each ear; jaehwa is also often found wearing glasses, but it is said that she only wears them when she forgets to renew her contact lenses.

jaehwa, to match her personality, has a very simple and cute way of dress. she likes to keep things comfortable yet stylish. often found decking a nice skirt and flats, jaehwa is known to have a stong dislike towards jeans or tight clothing; she is more fond of loose material that can flow along with the wind and anything that will let her body "breathe".

she keeps her style crisp and tidy, in regards to her uniforms. whether it was for school or if it's for work, jaehwa always had, and still does, wear her uniforms briskly. she never adds anything extranneous in fear that it might strike as unprofessional, and wears it as it is supposed to properly be worn.

» jongin → jongin is, above all, independent and humorous. he's generally the type to be a so-called "fan favorite" if he were a character on a popular tv show. with his good-natured humor and kind heart, jongin is sweet and generous to anyone that comes by; he's often found with a smile on his face, regardless of what task he is appointed to and regardless of what burdens or hardships he might currently be enduring. in spite of his sanguine nature, however, jongin is undeniably and most definitely one of the clumsiest men on earth. he trips over anything: his shoelaces, chair legs, even air. and to add on to that feat, jongin is also quite forgetful. he's known to have forgotten even some of his co-workers' names and birthdays. but hey, with that killer smile and to-die-for amiability, who cares about clumsiness or forgetfulness?

» zitao → zitao, on the other hand, is calm, logical, and authoritative. he might come off as detatched, and sometimes threatening, but zitao isn't normally known to do anything unless it has a benefit for him. the young chinese male is actually quite.. selective of his friends, and is known to be quite the "softie" when it comes to his god friend, kris. zitao is normally a very level-headed person, and it's the perks that come with being the tycoon's son; there are often instances that deems it obvious that zitao is the tycoon's son. if it's not his slightly arrogant and haughty demeanor, it's his controlling all aspects of the business while still only being second-in command. some may refer to zitao as an egoist, however it's not true: zitao cares a lot for kris his family and friends. he's just more fond of silent devotion.

[ relationship ]

» jongin → jongin has always been interested in jaehwa. whether it is through miniscule or grand gestures, jongin is always trying to impress jaehwa, though it proves to be difficult when he's always tripping over his feet (and words). jaehwa is clueless to jongin's adulation and remains friendly; with a polite smile and civil conversation, jaehwa is just about as naive towards jongin's interest as a toddler would be. it's only more awkward for the pair when they're alone. they're still at the stage in which they're not strangers, yet not exactly friends. though jongin tries his best to get to know jaehwa better, he redundantly finds himself stuttering or making a fool of himself in front of jaehwa; all this results in jaehwa's forced laughter and strained inquiries of whether or not jongin needs a first-aid kit or a glass of water. go figure. in various situations, where they might be found working together, jongin and jaehwa might look like a great team. although it seems so, there is still that awkward barrier in between them that exists that is preventing them from being any more than just mere acquaintances. go figure.

» zitao → its quite the colorful relationship, actually. here, you have a budding princess with a joyous heart and a named egoistic king that has an unhealthy devotion towards his best friend. zitao isn't necessarily in love with jaehwa; neither is he even interested in dating her. there is just something about jaehwa that irks zitao, and he can't figure if it's her smile, her constant perserverance, or her face. so in response to his mysterious agitation, zitao is found constantly picking at jaehwa. whether it's criticizing the way she's vending the ice cream or the way she speaks to her customers, zitao always has something to criticize about jaehwa. in turn, she cannot find herself to do much so she bites down on her tongue and smiles politely, accepting the unreasonable criticism with a heavy heart. their relationship has come to the point where zitao no longer pokes at her buttons because he's agitated, but he's amused at how she has been so patient; the severe critcism blossoms into teasing, and soon, zitao's words are a joke (that's not even funny). there are only various instances (such as if zitao is having a good day) that zitao might be found complimenting jaehwa's work; but as rarely as a blue moon shows, so does zitao's good side.

[ first meeting ]

» jongin → it was quite more embarassing on jongin's part at their first meeting. jongin was on break when jaehwa came in on her first day. obviously, for a first-timer like jaehwa, she was elated about her first day at work. she was looking forward to working at the kiosk more than anything, but just as she crossed paths with handsome boy, jongin, her mood deflated. jongin was carelessly crossing the floors with his phone in hand, eyes glued to said device. in his other hand, he was holding an ice cream cone. and just as obvious as it gets with any other story, the unexpected happened: jongin collided into jaehwa's side, a disgruntled cry emanating from his lips as he helplessly watched his ice cream cone fall onto jaehwa's bosom. jongin was about to reach to wipe away the creamy goodness when jaehwa stopped him with a peculiar (and slightly irked) expression. "it's okay, i can clean up myself. i'm a big girl," jaehwa chuckled vacantly. dazed, jongin watched with wide eyes as she walked away; the whiny curses exiting her lips had never reached his reddened ears - her intriguing looks had distracted jongin from everything else, anyways. jaehwa, afterwards, was pretty forgiving about the ordeal; however, it seems as if the incident is what created the awkward barrier in between them in the first place, seeing as how jongin reached for her s to wipe the ice cream away. good god.

» zitao → it seems that it was a sunny afternoon when huang zitao was craving a nice ice cream cone. unfortunately for him however, it wasn't one of the greatest days for any of the mcdonald's workers. the ac broke down, the coffee makers were glitching, and all the ice cream kept melting! unbeknownst to zitao, these drastic events were keeping all the mcdonald's employees on edge. the wealthy male walked up to the dessert kiosk with a blank expression, his mind whirling inquisitively at the sour expression gracing the vendor's features. the girl before him flinched and fidgeted. "how can i help you, sir?" her smile was drained and even her voice was weary. zitao shrugged it off, thinking it was just this particular girl; he can always report her later anyways. "i'll take a chocolate-vanilla infused cone, please," he responded blandly. zitao blinked and she winced begrudgngly. "i''m sorry, sir, but we can't serve you any ice cream today. all our machines are glitching, and as an employee, i can't give you any of our merchandise if it's not in the best condition."

zitao didn't know whether to be enraged or bewildered. he decided to take on both. "what do you mean, if it's not in the best condition?" he demanded, irritated by the heat and his own deprivation of cold, sugary goodness. "this mcdonald's will always have food in said best condition," he continued, "trust me, i of all people would know." he quirked a brow and scoffed. "do you know who i am?" he read the name tag: jaehwa. deflated and defeated, zitao shrugged off the matter. he can always scold her when he had more time.

jaehwa was more than displeased with the snarky customer; and oh, was she even more so when she found out who he really was.

what job are you applying for?
the dessert kiosk! it might be hard work, but with all those sweets surrounding you, who could say no? it'd be like a second home for me!

in case that one gets taken, which other jobs would you like to do?
i would probably want to work at the mccafe bar; it might not be as great and sweet as the dessert kiosk, but there's definitely a share of treats that i would enjoy working with.

why are you interested in this job?
my parents already work super hard, so i just want to help them out a bit. it might also help encourage my brother to get off his fat and help out the family, too. but like any other student, i also need any extra cash i can get. that new totoro phone case was just released the other week, and i wanna earn that myself!

how did you score a position?
i found the hiring sign when i was on a job hunt; i was only passing by and i thought, why not? it's not like i have that great of a chance anywhere else, so i decided to talk to the manager in charge at the time. he seemed friendly enough, though pretty scary for my taste. i got the job prettily easily, actually.. but i guess they need more workers for the kiosk.

what can you contribute in this job?
hard work. i would really like this job so trying my best to do my job wouldn't even be a question. i really want to earn that totoro phone case on my own; it's really all i have going for me right now! if you want a smile, i will give it to you! if you want hard work, i will give that to you, too! it doesn't even have to be working at the kiosk, i really will accept any work you have to offer!

what is your favorite food in the mcdonald's and why?
the mcflurry! i mistake the spoon for a straw all the time, but that's what i like about the mcflurry. it only takes a true mcdonald's customer (and potental worker) to know how to operate a mcflurry treat! and it helps that it's really nice and creamy, too; definitely worth my money!
