Wonder why there's some AFF authors who are causing fandoms?

Their story plots are different and FRESH every single time!

Have your very OWN style.

 

 

Tips

1. Modify a seems-like-typical IDEA and use your IMAGINATIONS  to make it into a story plot which seems SPECIAL but yet FAMILIAR due to the MODIFIED TYPICALITY! >.<

- It takes some creativity here (: So show what you have! ^^

 

2. PLANNING is important.

- This is where you could visualise how the fanfic should be from your small idea ^^

 

 

3. Have something SPECIAL. 

- For me, my language command is considered better than others and so I can be able to include Korean, Mandarin, Japanese phrases into the chapters and even provide TRANSLATIONS!

I looked around and NO ONE (Tell me if there is) who also adds on translations of phrases in their fanfics. 

*Note: Check the date whereby he/she register as a user on AFF before telling me so.*

 

 

3. PARAGRAPHING.

Consider me someone striving for PERFECTION.

I really don't want to SQUEEZE my eyes and look at those condensed text in that one whole chunk of paragraph..

2-3 lines spacing between each paragraphs would be good ^^

 

 

4. FONT SIZE.

Let's see.. If this whole blog post is in this font size..

Hi, you know, I really hate to see these small words here.....

This size then? Does it make any difference??

Typically this size.. I am like totally OMG!!

 

Get my point here?? ^^

 

 

5. Pictures and GIFs

If your fanfic needs it, then by all means, put it in.

But if you DON'T, then please don't put it for the sake of putting it.. -.- It cause the page to really LAGS... Especially GIFs as well..

 

 

6. Author's Side Note

I don't mind the author 'speaking' in between the text, but too much is just.. too much.

Have it after the chapter ends (that would be best),

Otherwise, if you have the need to say something before the chapter starts and do a summarised one. (with a smaller font would be better as it wouldn't be distracting to the readers as well.)

 

 

7. TITLES

- Take some time to think about it.

Your story title shouldn't be too.. you know, like, when-you-see-it-you-know-what-is-it-about kind of title.

 

(Please don't be offended if you see your's here... I am just using it as an example and maybe it would be good for you to change it if you see this.)

Eg.

I FELL IN LOVE WITH MY BEST FRIEND

- Now everyone knows you fell in love with your best friend.. fine.. This won't attract a lot of readers, really.

 

Would You Be My Girl?

- Am I supposed to say 'Yes'? Kidding.. This is at least better than the previous one..

 

Point to note: I don't mind your titles that much... but.. it would be really better if you could think a little deeper ^^

 

 

8. Character Names!!!!!!!

- I got to highlight this! I believe you all would agree with me that...

HANA is a very COMMON name you see, isn't it?!

and there are more out there, you all know it clearly.. I shall not talk too much.

 

 

List of Typical Plots/ Titles

 

1. Arranged Marriage 

(I guess people are going to be SICK of it.)

Recently: FAKE MARRIAGE (??!! Just get married if you want, why is it a FAKE one?? O.o)

 

 

2.The Idol got you PREGNANT!!

(I don't mind if it's interesting, but there's really TOO MUCH out there.. )

 

 

3. "My Life as (whoever's) Wife.. Girlfriend.."

(Enough people.. TITLES...)

 

 

4. Super Powers

(Once again, I don't mind.. but ESPECIALLY EXO, let them lead a NORMAL life alright?

If not have a NICE PLOT alright?? XD)

 

 

5. Falling in Love with a Jerk, Cold blooded (guys)

Commonly: I see Kris, SeHun, MyungSoo, Kai, etc..

Recently: LuHan (??!!! I am like... Wae~~~?! How is this possible?!)

 

 

6. Girls joining male groups and becoming their members

Plot: Girl, sometimes more than 1, living with the rest of the male members and members fell in love..

 

 

7. Days with ARROGANT guys (Similar to point 5)

It's too typically, as I scroll through the "Latest updated Fanfiction" section, there's really a lot of these..

And they usually targets.. Kris.  (Oh my poor Kris)

Plot: Living with them, in the Same school, each other's childhood (friend, rather ENEMY), etc.

 

 

8. The Nerds and The Kingkas 

I know, it's cool but at least change the title to (you know) something related to your story, readers do judge a book by its' cover.

 

 

9. (Whoever Oppa) I Love You

Fine, we know who you love and it's just TOO obvious. (TITLE)

 

 

10. I am (Whoever's) Maid

Familiar isn't it? TOO familiar..

So ya, still that same thing, make it interesting by at least modifying the TITLE by a bit?

 

 

11. Rich guys (Idols) falling for a poor girl (you)

Haiz.... This is not another Boys Over Flower drama..

 

 

(Similar to Point 10)

12. Slavery

I am totally..

I saw this somewhere..

- Why on Earth and What on Earth are they doing here? O.o

especially that one there on the Featured Section -.- (sorry for ranting again...)

 

 

14. OC from Orphanage

- Why are there so many children out there from orphanage? Can't they have a complete family?? O.o

Side note: I was about to forget about this though, till then I remembered it's such a tragic.. -.-

 

 

15. Turning a Jerk into a nice guy

- I know it's pretty a cute thing that the guy changes for you but... hmm.. just make sure that the story title isn't so obvious and the story plot should still be good alright? ^^

 

 

16. Is It Love?

- Erm.. this is a Title actually but many out there based their story like this. Put the focus on something similar to this idea instead of harping on "Is It Love?". It's a little... dumb actually.

Side Note: Not sure if you all see these fanfics before but I saw quite a few though.

 

17. Gangs

- I know it's nice but.. You better make sure it's nice okay? ^^

 

18. I need a Girl/Boy

- Okay.. I know you need 'somebody to love'.

 

19. It Started with a/an....

- Okay.. Drama Butterfly Effect....

 

 

20. I am (KPOP Idol)'s sister.

 

 

21. Tutor Husband/Boyfriend/Lover

- I know you all seen this.

- Yeah.. I see this. I do expect Angst and Fluff at the same time if I were to write this kind of genre :p

- Well ya, I believe in Destiny though. Just write it in a way that it's really Destiny, then I would be happy with it ^^

- Arasso... I know you are having a Crush, write it nice and sweet and ultra fluffy alright? (:
