Question time!

So we were talking about interpreting texts in literature class today and we were talking about "A Doll's House" and how the author wrote books on his book. So I was wondering, for fanfics, would you guys want like an author's note about the story as a whole after the story is finished? Like an insight to what they were thinking while trying that fic or like indepth analysis of the characters... if there's enough depth to it, like what you see on Sparknotes. What do you guys think?

Personally, I like that idea, but what I don't like about it is that it takes a lot of personal interpretations away. (If you've read Lord of the Flies and analyzed the bejesus out of that book just to find out that the author was like "Nope, just a story. Nothing more to it," you know what I'm talking about)

Give me your thoughts!

What would A Doll's House be about? I read a fanfic called The Dollhouse and it was depressing but I liked it... XD So yeah! I think it's a good idea!

Ive never really cared about it, I have always just like making my own assumptions to stories. But do what ever you want :-)

Hmm...I like it when author's do that. Like, when they talk about their thought process with the story and what provoked them to write it. I feel like I gain more insight into the text I'm reading, but...that's just me. XD
I mean, if they explain things, that's their choice, but I feel that it doesn't particularly matter to me, since I just believe what I want to believe anyway. It would be a help though, if there was a sudden plot twist and it wasn't explained in detail- or something like that...
I'm rambling. Sorry!
