» Happy bug - Dayeon is pretty happy about everything. She slow to anger, quick to forgive, and is often quite cheerful. She's also a bit of a go-with-the-flow kind of girl, but not so much that she's a hippie.
» Gullible - Unfortunately, Dayeon is very easy to trick. She's not the brightest bulb in the box, and will believe whatever you tell her unless she's been told differently beforehand. As such, she doesn't pick up on sarcasm very well, and has a hard time picking up on hints. Be blunt with her, and you'll be fine. Her gullibility also makes her prone to being very obedient. She follows direction well, but tends to get incredibly confused when people tell her contradicting instructions.
» Clever - Courtisy of her father, Dayeon is a sneaky girl who loves jokes and pranks. She's learned how to phrase her words and walk in such a way that you'll never see what's coming. This way, she has an element of surprise on her side for whatever she may need. However, due to her gullibility, with a few choice words from the opposing party, Dayeon's plans can instantly backfire on her.
» Absent Minded - Our Dayeon is bad at paying attention. She's prone to day dreaming and zoning out if she's not constantly doing something hands-on. Even then, sometimes she blanks out for a moment in the middle of practice, forgets where she was, and has to quickly jump back in. Her zoning out usually happens when someone is talking for an excessive amount of time, so she's often been called for it during meetings and school.
background : Born in Busan, Dayeon moved to Seoul when she was six due to her father's job. She attends Seoul International School (it's a real school), where her mother teaches. She was never the best student, as she has a hard time paying attention in class. Being so, she was teased when she was younger. The rebel Gain became her best friend as she's the only one who would stand up for her, but as everyone grew up, the teasing stopped as they focused on their studies.

» Stop Girl - Dayeon tends to make pauses while speaking, usually to think about what she's going to say next. With her short attention span, her mind will sometimes wander to a completely different topic and she'll forget she was in the middle of a conversation.
» H2O - When she was younger, and still lived in Busan, Dayeon almost drowned on a family vacation to the beach. She drifted out to sea when her father wasn't paying attention and slipped out of her floatie. Luckily she was saved by her mother, but ever since, she's been scared of water. She'll still drink it, but she refuses to do things that may make her drown such as taking a bath, using a swiming pool, playing at a water park, and especially going into the ocean. By extension, she's also a bit afraid of boat rides, and only if someone stays by her side the entire time, and holds her hand, will she play at a water park or swimming pool.
» Let There Be Light - Her fear of darkness also comes from the almost-drowning incident. It was night when it happened, so that's why it took so long for her parents to find her in the water. She also never quite got over the "monsters living under your bed/in the closet" thing. (remember: gullible.) She sleeps with a night light.
»Troublemaker - Dayeon has often gotten detention at school for not paying attention, due to her short attention span. Oddly enough, she's never gotten in too much trouble as a trainee. The trainee practices are much more hands on than school is, so she doesn't zone out as much. Also, Gain has gotten Dayeon into lots of trouble, usually from ditching school.
» It's Mine! - Like Tiffany, she does like the color pink (as well as everything sparkly and SHINee shiny), but isn't as obsessed with it. She's definitely more willing to do things involving the color pink (if something is being advertised with a pink poster, she's more inclined to buy it), but not everything that's pink must be her's.
» Fany Fany Tiffany - You know how Tiffany's introduction was "Brighter than gems, this is Fany Fany Tiffany!" Dayeon's version is "Shining bright, this is sparkling, dazzling Dayeon!"

father : Nam Ryeo / 47 / Lawyer / clever, social, confident, smart / Ryeo is the kind of father who babied his only daughter. He always protected her, taught her everything he thought she needed to know (even if it was actually useless info.) and spoiled her rotten. In return, Dayeon became "daddy's (only) little girl". She rarely took advantage of his spoiling, and is slowly becoming annoyed with his over-protectiveness. She still loves him though.
mother : Nam Hanbyul / 44 / Elementary School Teacher / happy-go-lucky, sweet, funny, mature / Hanbyul was always much more rational and realistic about raising Dayeon than Ryeo was. This mother and daughter duo joke around a lot, and are always laughing. Though Hanbyul loves to embarrass her daughter, she's usually Dayeon's go-to for any problems.

He often claimed she reminded him of Seungri: the talent was obvious, but she just needed a little guidance...or a lot of guidance. He mainly helped her bring out her style in her vocal ability as well as focus during practices and performances. He also made sure she received proper English lessons.

Yoo Mirae / 21 / Librarian / gentle, shy, good, kind / Mirae is actually Dayeon's cousin. She oftne gets dragged into whatever Gain and Dayeon are doing, much to her protest. As much as she'd rather be reading or gardening, than running around with Dayeon and Gain, she finds it her responsibility to look after them.
Corey Bonner / 23 / Editor for EYK Studios / Realistic, blunt, "bad boy", secret sweetheart / As Mirae's French-Korean boyfriend from Canada, he's quite fond of Dayeon and thinks of her as a little sister. He loaths Gain, her sass, and that she tends to drag Dayeon and Mirae (especially Mirae) into crazy situations. (Crazy meaning ditching school and going to Lotte World.)

Yang Yoojin (Stage Name: YooG) / 20 / Leader/Main Rapper of Sun Days / strict, loud, spoiled, confident / This is more of a friendly rivalry, but there is some tension between the two. Yoojin is one of Dayeon's closest friends and biggest competition. In the running for YG's Sun Days group, they started to drift apart when Yoojin began to secretly grow jealous of Dayeon's singing ability. When Dayeon was cut from the final group and left YG Ent., things seemingly went back to normal. They promised to work to better themselves and jokingly claimed to be rivals. Everything is fine until Yoojin finds out Dayeon is dating her brother. She's very protective of him, and so tends to be a little too harsh on Dayeon when she sees them together.

trainee history :
At age 10 Dayeon first auditioned for YG Ent. with Gain, because of Gain. One morning, her friend dragged her out of the house, told her they were ditching school, forced her into the audition room, commanded her to sing, and shut the door. Whilst incredibly confused, Dayeon did as told, and managed to make it to the finals while Gain didn't make it past the first audition. Dayeon quickly made friends with Yoojin. Up until the choosing of members for the group Sun Days, the two were inseparable. Being friends with the CEO's daughter, Hyun Suk did favor her, much to the other trainees' dislike.
Around 13, Dayeon met Seunghyun in the recording studio for the first time. Afterwards, whenever she went into the studio, she was usually with Seunghyun. On the occasion that she was with Teddy, GD, or Lydia Paek, they'd ask her how Seunghyun was, but she didn't know why they always asked about him.
At age 15, Dayeon was considered for the position of Lead Singer in Sun Days. From there, she and Yoojin started to drift apart, and without the support of her friend, Dayeon was eliminated from Sun Days. After a discussion with Hyun Suk, she realized her style of performing didn't suit YG Ent. as well as she thought, and transferred to SM Ent. by recommendation of GD.
She spend only a year at SM Ent, before they decided to put her into the new Girls' Generation.
Through out the rest of her trainee years (and even in her career), Dayeon always went back to visit the YG building (specifically her mentor and Seunghyun) about once a week.

"how did you find out about the original snsd and did you like them?" : "Well...Appa is a really big fan of SoNyuhShiDae, so I've always heard the music around the house...Omma wasn't really into pop music; she's an indie fan. I, myself, take after my mother, so I wasn't to interested at first, however....however, I've always really loved being flashy and fun, so when I saw a live performance of TaeTiSeo's Twinkle, I started listening to them more, and then got really into some of their music.....There is the problem of their cuteness....I think it was strange that they kept performing such young, cute songs in their late twenties....I mean, the fun was there, but the cute seemed less....natural...."

He told me about them....and he kept telling me about them.....I originally wasn't going to do it, but I thought for a while and realized, while YG was good to me, it's not really a place for the cute kind of fun I like to perform with...In all their years of producing great artists, their company image is still the same. When they first met, Seunghyun was very shy, awkward, and said little to Dayeon, while she just smiled and did as told. After awhile, Seunghyun warmed up to her and talked much more, often asking what she though of his music, told her jokes to make her laugh (He really loves that), and showed her a thing or two about producing music. Dayeon also started to become much more bubbly and talkative around him, but remained oblivious to all of his romantic hints until he actually confessed, catching her by surprise. She actually rejected him when he confessed, but after an incident at the YG building (where she stormed out after seeing Seunghyun helping another pretty female trainee record), and a talk with her mother and her fellow members, Dayeon accepted that she likes him. As a couple, they're fond of skinship (although Seunghyun is embarrassed in front of other people), and are much more open with each other.

COMMENTS: Did you know, it's really hard to find ulzzangs that look even remotely like Yang Hyunsuk? That's the closest I could get..... -The mini drama between Seunghyun and Dayeon. He confesses (and really goes all out with an old SNSD song, flowers, chocolates, balloons) she rejects him. She gets jealous and confused. She confesses, they get together. Note that Seunghyun's confession would happen after SNSD's (re?)debut. -Variety show. Please. -Someone with a love interest (not necessarily me) gets their relationship revealed to the public and the fans are divided. Supporters vs. Haters. -Hwang Minwoo. -Very end of the fic - Original SNSD performs with the New SNSD. -Bring back all of the other Kpop babies who would now be in their late teens/early 20's (Tiger JK's son, Tablo's daughter, Sun's future child, more if you can think of any.) -Eat Your Kimchi? Their kid(s), and employees now appear for the camera and do scripting and editing, but the original duo still run their company. They now have their own TV segment?
