Write because you want to, not because they tell you to...
Always put in mind that when you write, it's because you have a story to share and not because you think this story will bring you subscribers and your username will become the talk of town.
I used to think that. When I first wrote, I was thinking of just wanting my story to be out there, maybe hit a few people in the feels and entertain them. It was a good feeling that might fill your head and BAM! Next thing you know, you're constantly checking your page for the views and subs.
That feeling eats up the creativity and your need to LEAD the story and make it good. I know most, if not ALL, of us are amateur writers who offer FAN SERVICE but this shouldn't control whatever we write. Sure you'd have the urge to ask readers what they'd like to happen and follow that by word but that just makes you a writer with no actual point of writing and that you're just doing that story to gain attention. Readers want SURPRISE and THRILL not what they already know would happen.
Whenever I realize I'm falling towards that path, I read the comments with 'expectations' and do the complete opposite of what they want to happen. It creates a twist and gets your readers anticipating whatever comes. Don't do it too much though... I got lost in a story because of that xD
When you write well, the audience comes later.
Keep writing!
