I TOLD MYSELF THAT I WOULD STAY OUT OF THIS

but I can’t. 

I guess I’ll start out with the fact that I honestly would not have a problem if Jinki smoked. I don’t encourage it, as my grandma died from lung cancer that came from smoking, but I’m not gonna be all “OMG OPPA HOW COULD YOU.”

On that note, if he does, oh well. But if he doesn’t, the fact that everyone is just assuming that he is based on one picture makes me sad. He may not be the super innocent person that they try to tell us he is, but I still doubt he enjoys having everyone say that he smokes, when he might not. 

I’ve read the majority of theories that came across my dash, and have finally come up with my own.

It’s a pen. There. I’m one of the delusional fans that doesn’t want to believe oppa smokes, and instead is trying to claim it’s a pen.

But really, I think it’s a pen.

I can’t be certain of course, but the red flaps in the picture seem rather reminiscent of a Japanese style restaurant/grill/street vendor type thing. Very Naruto-esque, or that’s what it reminds me of. Grills produce smoke, especially when you know, you grill things. I’ve had lungfuls of it trying to help my dad grill burgers and such.

With that in mind, the smoke doesn’t even seem to be coming out of his mouth. It looks like it’s behind him. Now, it could just be that he is indeed smoking, and that the wind just blew it past him before the picture was taken, but I honestly believe the former. 

And back to the pen thing. I have one that looks exactly like it. Except with a red tip instead. But idk. To me, the pen clearly has a colored tip, a distinct cap, and it looks like it’s poking out the bottom of his hand, which just seems way too long for a cigarette of any kind, even the fancy ones.

I couldn’t get the angle, and please forgive the terrible edit, but you see where I’m coming from, right? 

If that weren’t enough to convince me it wasn’t a cigarette of any kind, the way that he’s holding it would. Smokers just do not hold cigarettes like that. If you held a real one that way, it’d burn you. And you wouldn’t hold an electric one that way either. Because society, and the media, and just everything, including the natural instinct to keep ourselves out of harm’s way, programs you to hold a cigarette well—the way that you hold a cigarette.

Even if he was a smoker, and only smoked electric cigarettes, I guarantee you, he would not hold it that way, because it’s just not the way that you do it. 

So I mean. Maybe I’m some delusional fan that just doesn’t want oppar to be a smoker, but like I said. I wouldn’t care. I’d support him either way.

But it just honestly does not look like he is smoking anything at all. And it kind of really upsets me that everyone assumes he is without actually knowing anything at all.

Unless you are actually there, you have no idea what's going on, and so don't assume that you do.
