Time

We want more time but we cannot buy it like we cannot buy love or happiness. We have measurements of how time flows but no measurement of how
much time we may have wasted or how much time we used wisely. Time is valuable though we cannot physically hold it or keep it secure like money in a bank.

There are those who are very aware of how much time can be wasted so they organise, schedule every minute and every second of their week, day, month, year into fitting the calendar, planner or diary. But then their life gets so rigid that it loses flavour and excitement.

And then there are those who do not care about time they waste and so they go with the flow, allow spontaneous actions to occur and choose not to regret things they did or didn't do that day that they were meant to. But they have no goal to reach, nothing to motivate them into getting past a milestone in their life.

People can live in three areas; the past, the present and the future. The people of the past hold on to what happened, the mistakes of yesterday and a moment ago. They cannot see what's now or what could be instead they worry about the things they wished had taken place; the love that let them go, the job opportunity that they missed or the friend they didn't make due to prejudice thoughts.

The people of the present live focusing on what's happening now. They don't rememeber their mistakes or things from past that could help them move on and if they're in a dark place then they can't see them walking into the light.

People of the future live for what is to come. They only see what's ahead and not focus on the things of now or things from the past. They plan ahead and don't look back. And when they reach a milestone they'd been searching for they miss it and keep looking for the next thing.

But you know what is sad?

We're all a mixture of these three.

We hold onto past grudges, worry about our current status, job situation and we yearn for the future where things are peachy and right that we miss the good moments of today.

Let's try to take things one day at a time. Learn from the mistakes, let go of what weighs us down, enjoy what we have now and still anticipate what is to come.

Time is not the past, present or the future; time is all three mixed and blended.

And even though it cannot be bought.

It can eventually run out.

Time's slipping through our fingers. And why is it that we don't value it correctly? Always wishing to pass faster and then slower... We're such a bunch of losers sometimes! >.<
