Personality:He is the responsible type. He would take care of his brother when theey were traveling, since their parents weren't around. He is respponsible, but that doesn't mean he is stern or strict, he also has a fun personality. He loves to fool or play around, and at times can be flirty. He is a guy, so once in a while he would hit on a girl that he thought was cute or hot, not realing meaning anything by it.
He has a major passion for music. He learned to play several instruments, from guitar to bass, and to sing. His passion soon became his goal and dream to perform in front of a crowd. So he did, and he joined an American band with his younger brother. He is not the type to give up, instead if he weren't to get something the first time, he would try and try again. He is head-strong, and will usually never take "no" for an answer, so he is very stubborn. And he can be the jealous type at times, when he sees someone near a something that he wants or likes, he will get mad.
Background:When younger, his parents weren't around a lot, always being busy and whatnot. So he would be the one to take care of himself and his brother.
when he got older, he started to take an interest in music and wanted to learn to play the electric bass. Through high school, he played the electric bass, but also took up violin, guitar, and other string intruments. He felt he couldd be himself when playing an instrument and just speak out all of his problems or worries when playing.
when playing the guitar, he started to take up covering English songs. He practiced a lot, while other guys were playing soccer, he was in his room with his guitar while singing. he didn't mind, he soon started growing a deep passion for singing and wanted to perform. He got with some friends and his younger brother and formed a band. He became the lead singer for the band and played the guitar. They became pretty popular, posting their videos on the Web. They soon started to perform at gigs and sooner or later got offered a music contract from a big record company.
They went on tour and became quite popular. Selling many of their songs, and gaining quite the rep. After being a hit in America, he decided to go to Korea and get into Kpop.
So he went to Korea, to pursue his dream further of being a performer, and join Phantom Ent.

How did you get into Phantom Entertainment?:Well he is the lead singer of his band and they performed at a school talent show with scouts from every entertainment.The band split up due to all the members getting recruited to different companies.MinHyuk went to Phantom Entertainment because JaeRi convinced him it would be good for his talent.
