The Cinnabon Guy

I had met this guy Michael at school when he had nowhere to sit at lunch and asked to sit with me. It was soon after that we became friends. Yes, he was a good-looking guy but I don't find him attractive. AT ALL. Why? He was a manwhore.

The first few things he talked about to me was about a girl he would hook up with and every time he talked it was always a different girl. I'm like, "Okay...? That's nice."

Next, we talked about work and as it turns out we work in the same mall! I work at Hot Dog on a Stick and he worked at Cinnabon so of course we deal with the same customers so it was always the same old stuff. I remembered when I first got my job, my younger sister Michelle was with me and she was gushing about this really cute guy who works at Cinnabon. She points him out to me and I'm like, "He's alright," not registering what he looked like because I was tired from work.

Meeting Michael tied in somehow because he meets the description Michelle gave me when she pointed him out to me. He was tall (about 5'10"-ish), he looked mixed race but turns out he's actually full-blooded Vietnamese, he had full lips, flawless skin, along with nice eyes. I'm sure you guys would find him attractive but I think his personality just makes him unattractive to me. Every one is entitled to their own opinion and in this case, I'm VERY opinionated about this guy. Blegh!

After a few weeks of talking to him, we started talking on Facebook and swapped numbers. He always got on my case about being so uptight and made it his  mission to find me a guy. "Yeah, good luck with that," I scoffed.

Soon enough, I introduce my sister to him and it was after that when he started to ask about her. She was going through a break-up at the time with her ex-boyfriend and I mentioned it to him. Of course, the break-up messed up her self-esteem. So at lunch, I sat with him and he asks, "Hey, how old's your sister?"

Knowing where this is going, I said, "She's 18... Why?"

"She's kind of hot," he said quickly looking away.

"What?" I asked narrowing my eyes at him.

"I said she's very pretty," he said.

To challenge him, I said, "Go ahead and try to get at her."

I'm not sure what he said after that but I guess we spent the time talking about her. Little did I know, I opened a door I never wanted to open.

I remember telling my sister about this and she immediately starts swooning. It really boosted her self-esteem. Oh boy.

The next thing you know, I became an unwilling communicator for Michael and Michelle. -_-

He started ignoring me too. Not that I really cared. But I remember one night, when Michelle calls me into the room and asked, "What's Michael like?"

Right then, I knew. "Something happened didn't it?"

She smiled. "Maybe..."

"He asked you out didn't he?"

She looked away. "Kind of..."

That was when I lost it and went off on her. I was so mad at her. How can she be so stupid?! I started telling her what kind of guy he is and she still decides to go out with him?! >:-(

"You need to get laid," she said.

I stood there dumbfounded and decided not to speak to her.

Later on that night, I texted Michael and said, "I can't believe you disrespected me. I thought you were my friend."

He texts back and goes, "What are you talking about?"

When I didn't reply he texts again, "I'm guessing this is about me asking Michelle to lunch?"

I ignored him after that. He was never my friend. He used me to get close to my sister.

After that me and my sister did not speak for a whole week. She doesn't talk to him anymore but I still can't help but wonder why she even went out with him. He's a loser.

I still see him around the mall when I work but I choose not to see or speak to him. As much as I'm tempted to buy a Cinnabon, I've avoided that store at all costs. The end.
