(Kayli avoids anything white. She can't stand the sight of white. As such she keeps to the darker colors for her clothing. Black, reds, greens. Nothing too bright. She doesn't really care what she wears as long as it's comfortable. Most of her clothing have a slight military theme to them. Don't ask her why. She doesn't really know herself. Perhaps she likes how...in charge it makes her feel. At least just a bit. She's discovered that dressing in dark colors all the time keeps people away, as they seem to get a bad vibe from it, and she likes it that way.)

(Yeon is different in her choice of clothing. While Kayli doesn't care, she's rather picky. She only wears dresses and, like Kayli, keeps away from white clothing and bright clothing in general. She tends to dress a bit more...cutesy, but there still is that dark tone within it, that makes her approachable but warns people not to get too friendly.)

personality : Let me start by saying Kayli is more than one person. She's two. Time in a whole white room with no one to speak too will do wicked things with your mind. During that time alone she'd developed a split personality and named her Yeon, the Korean name she refused to be called herself, as it was given to her by her father. At first Yeon was nothing but a little voice in the back of her head that kept her company. Over time, however, Yeon became her own person. A person that could move her body, move , and think her own thoughts. Eventually Yeon could switch their positions, pushing Kayli into the back of her mind and taking full control of her body. Kayli has become so accustomed to this change that now, whenever they happen to swap places, she doesn't notice anymore, to the point that once she regains control she'll pick up on an old conversation that she had just been in the middle of.

Kayli doesn't have the best disposition. She's rather foul mouthed and evil tempered. She's known to be extremely cynical and certainly won't hesitate to tell you where you can shove your opinions and concerns if you happen to cross her during a bad day. She doesn't have a filter on and will blantantly tell you what she thinks about you without regard to your feelings. Afterall, what does she care about your feelings? No one cared about hers. Why should she bother trying to make you feel better when inside she feels like crap? Exactly. She shouldn't. She doesn't have a sense of humor. At all. So it won't do you any good to try and crack jokes in her presence. That is, if her silence hasn't made you extremely uncomfortable by then. Most of the time it seems she only opens to insult someone or make some crude remark. Speaking of which, her foul-mouth borders on the inappropriate, but unlike her insults, she seems to know when and when not to say something crude.

Yeon is her balance. She loves to laugh and can easily crack a joke. She's the one who faces the reporters and braces fanmeets. Afterall, who would want Kayli handling such delicate matters? Unlike Kayli, Yeon loves and craves constant attention. She's known for dishing out compliments whenever possible and can't help but smile. She likes to think of herself as very...lady-like and it takes a lot to anger her. However, she does have an ugly side when angry and is like that of Kayli's when she's pushed that far. But that's rare. The best word to describe her; despite her claims that she is in every way a lady; is childish. She's like a 5-year-old on a sugar high, running back and forth doing errands for everyone. In hindsight she's very easy to manipulate and use.

Yeon is easy to identify through her speech patterns. She uses the word 'we' to identify herself and it's with great difficulty that she uses self-indentifying words in front of the press and public. Her voice is a higher pitch than Kayli's and, to the amusement of everyone, she carries around a large teddy bear where ever she goes.

• Scared: Kayli will become silent and withdrawn, curling in on herself and going through a sort of mental withdraw from the world around her.

Yeon will begin to cry when scared.

• Happy: If you're lucky, you may just see Kayli crack a smile. Most of the time one realizes she's happy because she'll have this particular smirk on her face.

Yeon will squeal and hug everyone around her when happy.

• Upset: Kayli will give everyone the cold shoulder and refuse to speak of whatever is upsetting her.

Yeon will look for comfort, someone to cuddle with before spilling everything when upset.

• Angry: Kayli will toss around insults and shrug off any attempt at comforting her.

Yeon will throw a tantrum when angry.

• Seething: Kayli will lock herself in her room and refuse to come out unless it's on her own terms and that's usually when she's feeling civil enough.

Yeon doesn't seeth. She can't hold anything in and will instantly begin to cry.

• Confused: Kayli will cuss when trying to figure out whatever is confusing her.

Yeon will pout and whine when confused until the situation is explained to her.

triva : 

• She's afraid of pregnant women. They're all wobbly and huge. It's creepy.
• She's half-deaf in both ears so all together she has one working ear, so it isn't uncommon for her to ask you to repeat something.
• She almost never eats whatever she cooks, preferring to let everyone get their fill.
• Inside she feels some compassion for the people she sees every day.
• She has slight hoarder tendencies.

stage name & persona : Kyu & 'The Sweet Imp' (Sweet for Yeon, who takes over during public functions & Imp for Kayli, when reporters have the misfortune of actually confronting her)

other experience : She has a small part in a drama called 'Die Together' as the younger sister of the main character.

history : I'm not going to say that Kayli was a happy, spontaneous girl as a child. That would disallusion you. As a child Kayli never said much, never did much unless it was sharply requested by her nanny. Since her birth she was raised by several nannies, ranging from gentle and loving to tight-fisted and cruel. In all she had 3 nannies, who she called 'Mama', 'Auntie', and 'Grandmother' respectively. 'Mama' was the loving one, a great substitute for her mother who was never really home when she needed her. 'Auntie' was strict but gentle in her teaching. She wasn't afraid to punish her as a child should be punished when doing something wrong. Time-outs and spankings. 'Grandmother', however, had high expectations of her. Ridiculously high. Every wrong move was met with some punishment that was nothing like 'Auntie's'. By the time she was 7 Kayli had lost count of how many times she had been locked in the basement by her 'Grandmother'. The only upside to said punishment was that her 'Mama' or 'Auntie' would always come down and spend the time with her. It was through her 'Mama' that she learned that most children had imaginary friends that they could talk too if they ever felt alone. And so she had made one up.

The day 'Mama' and 'Auntie' died; after the house had caught fire because of her mother's inability to cook (though her mother denies it was her fault); Kayli was left alone with an ill 'Grandmother' and her mother and father who didn't understand her. And so she had turned to her imaginary friend for company, talking to her whenever she was sad or lonely. Although it disturbed them that their daughter was talking to air, they believed the phase would pass swiftly. However as the years went by and Kayli's belief that someone was truly there talking and listening to her grew stronger, her parents were at their wits end. They sent her to doctors, frustrated when no one could tell them what was wrong with her. It was only when, during dinner, when her mother had stiffly asked her why she had done anything with her life, that Kayli replied, "Why haven't you? You've done nothing but sit on your all day. And don't tell me you haven't. Li tells me everything. Li also told me that you've been having an affair with the gardener. Now who's worthless?" Li was her imaginary friend, the voice in the back of her head that told her everything. That seemed to see everything though they had no eyes to see with. The next day she was carted off to the 'crazy house' by a dry-eyed mother and a disgusted-face father.

family : Song Nalia | 42 | Housewife | Sharp-tongued. Stubborn. Vain. Strewd. | Nalia may have given birth to her but Kayli was never more than a face for the family. Something that was to bring pride to the family. And when she failed at that and went 'insane, when she brought shame to them and began to talk to things that weren't there, she was nothing more than a broken toy. And she was thrown away. When asked if she has a daughter she responds with a cold, "Of course not!" As if the thought offends her.

Song Tae Seon | 45 | CEO Advisor | Stoic. Cold-mannered. Unforgiving. Ruthless. | Tae Seon never once hugged or comforted his daughter, for once simple reason. She was girl. The most he did was name her. Song Yeon, despite Nalia having given her an American name. And it didn't make it any better when he was told that Nalia would be unable to have anymore children. And then Kayli had to go and be insane. Selfish girl. To say the least Tae Seon got rid of everything that could be traced back to their 'insane' daughter.

friends :  Yin San-Shi | 24 | Hair stylist | Bubbly. Girly. Mild-mannered. Gentle. | San-Shi was a friend that Yeon had made. Someone who matched her personality. Kayli puts up with San-Shi because the older woman reminds her of 'Mama' and the fact that she enjoys the kindness San-Shi bestows upon her. The older woman knows about her split personality and has made a resolve to befriend Kayli and show her the love she seems to be missing.

personality : No matter who claims to know him, she knows the real him. The one he hides under wraps. He's not innocent or a romantic. He's domineering, to the point where she can hardly stand to be around him, but he knows she'll always come back. She always does. Underneath his 'innocent' facade is a man who knows exactly what he's doing and he's rather, for lack of a better word, naughty. He loves to command and see people rushing to do his bidding. People who are always on their toes, ready to do whatever he wishes.  Can he be a nice and sweet guy? Of course, but only towards his group mates, who are just as evil as he is. In her opinion of course.

relationship : He likes to comment that he has her on a leash and she knows that he wouldn't hesitate to attach one to the collar he forces her to wear whenever in his presence. She tries her best to avoid him, but she owes him a debt, this she knows. And it's rather hard to avoid someone when they work in the same entertainment industry and for the same company. Besides, it's not like he'd let her purposely ignore him. He never likes it when she does. He's let her know a long ago that she belongs to him and him along. Any scandal with another idol/actor/whatever will not go unpunished and any crush she may happen to develop was to be squashed then and there.

first meeting :  She had just wanted to escape. To run away from that place they kept her confined too. But the moment she stepped out into the open, into the sunshine and fresh air, she realized she had nowhere to go. Her family would never welcome her back with open arms. They had never done so before they had declared her insane. And then...a car. It was a chance and she took it, running out in front of the car and nearly getting run over in the process. She remembers pressing her hands against the hood as it screeched to a stop before running to the passengers side and begging the man behind the wheel to give her a ride. Anywhere was fine. Anywhere away from the screeching building with its wildly flashing watch lights and the loud shouts of guards and the low snarl of dogs straining on their leash. The man had unlocked the door and told her, in a husky voice that now made her shiver in both fear and desire, to get into the car and calm down. She had quickly done so, tightly gripping the seatbelt in her hands as she fumbled to buckle herself in. He had reached over and helped her before pulling away to look her in the face. She remembered being startled by his eyes. Deep, dark, and full of...nothing. Those eyes roamed her face and he had smirked, as if he had found something he liked before, without a word, he started the car and drove off. Away from that horrid place and the people who had never cared.

comments / suggestions / questions : I hope you find my character suitable. I tried very hard to reach your standards. Please, please, let me know if I need to change something to suit your tastes.

scene requests : She's done. She's had enough of him and she tries to escape out the window, not knowing where she'll go or what will happen, but since their dorm is on the top floor she hopes that when she hits the ground she won't feel anything anymore. But before she can take a step out the dorm window he enters her room, as if knowing her thoughts. She curses how easy it is for him to simply waltz into their dorm, into her room. He begins to speak and she closes her eyes shut at his caressing words and soft voice. He is speaking to Yeon, this she knows, for he always tries to appeal to her softer side. When she feels his arms wrap around her she knows she's lost and she raises her head to accept his kiss, just like she always does. And like the numerous times before she feels his hand close around her neck and his voice, now deadly, whisper in her ear that she is his and not even death will take her from him.
