Skillet

Okay, this is totally none Kpop related, but this blog has kind of turned out to become my official diary. Anyway...

Skillet will be coming to Denmark, to MY town, in June. I really like Skillet. They have gotten med through some very hard times and their songs are just... amazing. I can't even pick a favourite song. I can pick... many.

"Say Goodbye" is the one I'm hearing right now. It brought tears to my eyes just now and I felt like I needed to write something down. It's a beautiful song and it really helped me when me and my best friend through 10 years split up 4 years ago. I kept listening to it and it's so emotional.

"Those nights". God, this song has been my... freak out song. You know, thta one song you just put on, turn the volume all up and just go crazy, scream and dance to blow off steam and get all the bad things out of your system. It always makes me want to jump around and sing. It's wonderful.

"Yours to hold". Again one of the songs that really bring tears to my eyes. It speaks of being invisible and yet seen by someone. I spent so much time wishing someone would see me, and this song just summed that up perfectly. It's so beautiful and just... I really love it.

"Will you be there". I remember when I first found this song, I started crying. I was in an abusive relationship. He and I would sometimes send each other songs if there was something we could not say to each other. I send this to him. He replied "It's dull". That should really have been a sign. The song is about the fear of being alone, the doubt that someone is actually there to catch you when you fall. It is a relatively slow song and it fits the lyrics perfectly. To me, this song is... I don't have words to cover it. I think this is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard and I found it at a time when the big question, "will you be there?" was the only thing that was running through my mind because I was constantly scared. Later I realised it was the boyfriend I was actually scared of, but that doesn't make this song any less wonderful.

Also songs as "The last night", "Falling inside the black" and "Rebirthing" are high on my list. I really need to see them when they come to Aarhus. I hope they will play any of my favourite songs. That would be amazing. Oh, and "Whispers in the dark"! That song is so.... God, I LOVE the guitar in that.
