WHEN DID YOU BECOME AN OFFICIAL BLAKCJACK?

 

Let me tell you my story...

 

I was a 3rd year High school student (or was it 4th)? anyway, it was around June or July of 2009. I wasfixing my bag to be prepared for tomorrow's school and the news was on. i heard the reporter saying something that made me lift my eyes to the screen.

 

she mentioned SANDARA PARK!!! i was a big big big fan of her since her SCQ days thus the reaction. so yeah! they were reporting at how successful Dara became with her debut with her own group 2ne1. they were proud at how Dara reached her dream of becoming a singer. i think they were reeally proud because dara started as their artist before 2ne1.

 

so, after the news ended (and after i jumped around and squealed), i looked up for the music video that they flashed on the screen that time. and this was it:

 

 

 

 

it's FIRE(STREET VER.) eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh~ 2NE1!!!!

 

and i was immediately hooked.

 

i wasn't really into the internet then. so, i wasn't really updated with them. i didn't know allkpop, soompi, oh-dara.

 

but with the help of MYX (the number 1 music channel in the Philippines), i get to watch their MV over and over again. they were a BIG HIT here.

and i remember how i was like, "OMG! that girl in a black hoodie and what looks like a one-piece bathing suit looks really gorgeous. she's even more beautiful than Dara." LOL, yeah true story. and also, i was like, "I only know Bom and Dara, who's CL and who's Minzy? why the hell do they look alike?" LOL, yeah, that's a true story right there. i een find myself stupid thinking that they look alke. LOL cos they don't. XD

 

so, after Fire, i saw their newest MV (still on MYX,  told you they're BIG):

okay, now i'm reminiscing. i'm missing them so no one can blame me. and i know you miss them too. anyway, so these are my most memorable live performances of 2NE1.

 

 

 

 

 

 

actually there's a LOT! but i can't enumerate them all here.

 

and besides the MVs and the live performances, i know everyone will agree with me that 2NE1TV is the best idea YG had ever had. seeing them in their true skin and not even once pretended to be somebody.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2NE1 is really the first KPOP group i have ever encountered. and i am really proud that even until now, i am still a blackjack and even going strong as a fan. i was really blown away with their talents and their amazng and unique music and sense of fashion. that time, i wasn't really exposed with other groups but when i decided to check them out, 2ne1 really proved that their different from the typical pop and cute and bubble-gummy music of other girl groups out there.

2ne1 is y, unique, fun, and edgy. just straight up stunning. they're really something else. sacrificing a cute image where that time, being cute is the 'IT' thing, really speaks for itself. i'm so glad that they succeeded as a unique group out there. their personalities (which are very different from each other) is a bonus already. OMG~ who would even think that CL was feminine, that Minzy was mature, that Bom was really crazy, and that Dara was very innocent and sensitive? i didn't even know how her whole personality was like even though i had been a fan for so long. but thanks to 2ne1tv, i knew.

they're just awesome girls with awesome personalities. i really find it hard to like a girl group. that's why it's only 2ne1 that made me hooked in k-pop. i tried listening to some, (not lying), but i don't get as hooked as i got in 2ne1.

 

i really want them to come back soon >.<

*sings* No matter what happens *sings* i still love 2NE1!

i just wish they come back soon. i missed them and it's really really really boring without them.
