GOT MY FRIEND TO LIKE *ONE* KPOP SONG - MAKING PROGRESS
Now, I live in Mississauga, and while it's a great place to live if you really like Billy Talent (who originated from Mississauga *fist pump*) but not very good if you obsess over KPOP.
*Above* The population of students in my high school who seem to like KPOP as much as I do
It's been a long road. My friend showed me my very first KPOP song (Replay by SHINee) when I was in Grade 8 (which is, wow ... 2010, I think), and I got myself converted when I found the CLICK Factor, which, as all fans must know, is the one song that clicks in your brain and makes you start to really love KPOP. For mine, it was Beast's Bad Girl, and from then I morphed into a total freak like I am today.
But as for my friends? Let's just say it took the combined efforts of my Seargent Drill-Nasty coaching to force my sister-from-another-mister into the KPOP world (and I needed help from her KOREAN friends too). Now we are both free to obsess over the latest songs and argue about whether or not Ken's nose from VIXX is really that big.

Then I had to convert my other friends from school. One friend, it took me a long time, but finally, Nanrina from Block B got her converted. To this day, she has learnt of all sorts of different groups, dicusses latest Allkpop articles with me, and has recently become a Baby after watching B.A.P's life-changing One Shot mv.
As for my other friend? She is Chinese and really just likes Chinese music. While I do love Chinese music as well, MTV in Taiwan really just sounds like "Ballads Marathon", to be honest, so I was really doubtful she would EVER like KPOP.
Until one day I showed her the mv when my other friends were spazzing over it, and suddenly she came up to me and said "I hate you. I love this group."
As you can imagine, my instant reaction was

She may not like ALL their songs (she really doesn't like the badass ones like Warrior, which is a shame) but at least she likes a KPOP song. And she knows enough to even say "I REALLY LIKE YOUNGJAE" and obsess over how cute he is.
So basically, if anyone even MENTIONS B.A.P or Youngjae, she'll be like
Life is good, everyone. Life is good.
