DereDere means "Lovingly affectionate" in Japanese, and it is all about the character of a person. There are different types of DereDere (7 to be exact) and I'm the least cool. (I'm Yandere...you'll see why I am sad...) 

okay so for starters the most popular DereDere is Tsundere. 

Tsundere-these character types act mean and violent on the outside but sweet on the inside. They tend to be meaner to the person they like, but they end up showing their sweet side little by little (by no means does that mean they aren't as violent) 

Himedere-as mean and violent as a Tsundere, but they are more princess-like. They're bossy but they're really kind on the inside. 

Tsunshun-they can be mean and violent towards people (specifically their crush) but they get really depressed after insulting others. 

Kuudere-they're always cold and look emotionless (to everyone not just their crush) but they will seem even more indifferent towards the person they like. Known as the "cool dere". 

Dandere-they are quiet and don't talk much. Generally anti-social until the right person comes around and tries to open them up. 

Yandere-usually looks very sweet on the outside but would kill for their love on the inside. They are the opposite of Tsundere. If their lover cheated on them they would blame the third party, blaming their ex lover or themselves is a last resort and they will never try to hurt the one they love. 

Yangire-a little like Yandere. The difference is that a Yangire character doesn't kill or become violent for love. They would only kill or become angry for family or friendship.

I've been thinking about DereDere types only because I want to write a story about them. And I think Tsundere's are adorable characters. Lol
