Shakespeare would have been a Shawol

Yes, I really do believe had be been alive today (and into Korean pop music), Bill Shakes would have been a fellow in our fanclub. After all, it's no great secret that he was biual, but -- come on -- his taste in men makes it very obvious that he would definitely appreciate the SHINee eye-candy.  ~.^

I never was able to contextualize this sonnet so well before I became a Shawol myself:

Sonnet #20

A woman's face with Nature's own hand painted

Hast thou, the master-mistress of my passion

A woman's gentle heart, but not acquainted

With shifting change, as is false women's fashion;

An eye more bright than theirs, less false in rolling,

Gilding the object whereupon it gazeth;

A man in hue, all hues in his controlling,

Which steals men's eyes and women's souls amazeth.

And for a woman wert thou first created,

Till Nature, as she wrought thee, fell a-doting,

And by addition me of thee defeated,

By adding one thing to my purpose nothing.

         But since she pricked thee out for women's pleasure,

         Mine be thy love and thy love's use their treasure.

In short, some femmy-looking boy caught his eye (imagine Key or Taemin especially), who he says looks better than any woman out there ("A woman's face with Nature's own hand painted") and is not only better looking, but a better person also; less fake and stuck-up (he has a "woman's heart" without all the "false" and "shifting change"). This SHINee-look-alike is so bright and beautiful that he "steals men's eyes" and "amazeth" women's souls (both very carnal implications). In fact, this guy is so beautiful that even Nature herself fell in love with him ("fell a-doting"); he has the ability to make men and women both want him. But since she made him with a ("But since she PRICKED thee for women's pleasure" is a double entendre; prick = ), he's engineered to please women better. So in the end, they trade in the commerce of love in place of lust, proving that they are superior to the superficiality and shallowness of women.

LMAO!

This is what happens when you mix studying and fanfic-writing. Your brain gets all Mced. I quite personally am in love with the term "master-mistress of my passion." It so makes me think of a naughty 2min/JongKey-master/servant/concubine scenerio. IDK. Oh, well... maybe I was able to inspire some of you to read some Shakespeare, at least. He was a pretty cool guy -- and quite the masterly ert. lol

JongHo Comedy of Errors would be AMAZING!!! They're already a Tom and Jerry couple, I'd love to see doubles of them bwahahahaahaha

OnJongKey Titus. With Junghee losing her tongue and hands. It would be a little gruesome, but still super brilliant cause Jinki is such an Emperor~ Everybody would his feet. Even if he had a long flowing beard. @.@

OnHo Antony and Cleopatra. Because the imagery of Minho in gold, bathing in milk, lying in silk sheets with a cobra around his waist, perfumed like a rare flower in his see-through robe, hair till his shoulders like a beautiful young prince is just... UNNNNNF!!! And obviously OnCalves and OnThighs under all that muddy leather... **dies**

Oooohhh. Stole the words out of my mouth!! >.< ♥♥♥♥♥

You know how Macbeth is an ambitious guy and his wife supports him all the way?? No matter how misguided it may be?? No matter how crazy it makes her??

Totally 2min. Lady Minjunggie loves her man so much she doesn't mind a little tomato sauce on her hands.

And the bit about Iago being a genius but still falling short of impressing people like Othello does cause the king favours the other man??

JongYu. I can live with Jinki being dark skinned ** lips**

And how can we NOT: R+J which fits scenarios for so many pairs it's just even more beautiful.

Oh, and since Hamlet is my favorite: Kibum. Who is in love with Eonsook but she is dying from his love. He's ruining her with his madness and he's destroying her family with it, but she still loves him. Maybe she's just as mad as him.

The logic, I see it now. There are so many Shakespeare quotes and scenarios that talk about how gender is and indifferent factor.
Like Romeo's original love interest, Rosaline, couldn't produce offspring/didn't want to. Juliet compared the beauty of roses to the beauty of humans and said that the beauty of men and women should be equal.
Shakespeare certainly was a genius, not only was he one of the best writers in history, he also saw past gender in people.
It would be cool to have him in our fandom.
