{ im the show here } She loves limelight and she's not afraid to convey that message. She's not some attention-craving , however. Lifeng just likes attention because that's when she can open people's eyes about her beliefs, about her potential, and about her talents. Being a naturally charistmatic and expressive person, Lifeng always has the need to display her best work, to always give it her all, and to always be ambitious. With her charm, Lifeng easily encaptures her audience's attention, thus fueling her inflated ego even more. She's playfully egotistical and acts narcissistic to be funny -- so she claims, though we all know what Lifeng says is what she really thinks anyways.

{ toddlers and tiaras? } Spoiled. Both her and her younger sister were spoiled rotten. The only decision they did not make for themselves was to move to China; and that was only because their father thought it was for their educational benefit. Father was right. Lifeng grew up in a happy household, raised in a typically warm, four-member household. Her mother and father loved her and her sister unconditionally and though they were a bit old-fashioned and tended to heads with their children every now and then, the love was prominent. Because of that love, Lifeng and sister Li Hua got almost whatever they wanted, with some restrictions of course; but nevertheless, their parents constantly showered the siblings with gifts and presents.

{ but we grew up well } Her parents nevertheless taught the Wu sisters well; the grew up to be meaningful and thoughtful of not only themselves but others; they received oustanding school marks and were great role-model children. In addition, Li Hua picked up her passion for science and is currently studying medicine at her university, and we all know where Lifeng is. The passionate, ambitious elder offspring escaped the confines of China and broke free to Korea to pursue her childhood dream. Because she knew ever since she saw Shinhwa, BoA, and Younha, she just needed to be like them, to grow up and be just as idolized. Dreams come true. Lifeng is living proof.

→ Trainee History ;

Lifeng is an SM trainee. She first auditioned when she was 17-years-old; it was rather late, but she had high hopes for herself and for her friend, Amber. She was in China at the time, and had no other way to send in her audition but via email. Doing so, she was not accepted on the first try like Amber was. She rather had to persistently audition continuously for two consistent years; she sent in additional audition tapes, aside from SM, to JYP, YG, Cube, even Starshp and Core Contents. She was about to give up but decided to give one last shot at SM.

She was accepted.

The elation was ephemeral and died out quickly. She was often picked on for being a Chinese trainee and was treated with much discrimination and prejudice. Korean trainees looked down on her and were dubious of her talents. Her energy was draining by the passing days and she was more often fatigued and exhausted than not. Unused to the assiduous work and practice hours, Lifeng decided to endure it, choosing to face the pain because "no pain, no gain". Luckily, she picked up on her dance and vocals, later gaining respect from mentor-slash-bestie Luhan. She grew accustomed to the peculiar stares from the others and grew even more adapted to the training.

And then she got news she was going to debut.

Aside from that, because of her wide vocal range, Lifeng has been known to accomplish to prolong IU's Good Day high note from 11 seconds to 16 seconds, and in one key higher. Besides singing, Lifeng's variety skills are quite impressive for a rookie; her wit and crude sense of humor adopted from her American roots is what does the trick.

{ we bein' nappeun namja's } Yongguk appears to be very intimidating, whatnot with his brusque build and deep voice. He perfects every aspect of being a bad boy-slash-delinquent, because not only is this devilish rapper strong-willed, Yongguk is very head-strong. He stands his ground and is very adamant in his own decisions. He knows what he's doing and is very controlled with his own life. He's a very assiduous person and does not know how to quit. He has the face of a very austere father and knows how to keep his peers in line. The downside? It's hard for him to make friends. The bright side? It's nice to have a burly guy like him as a friend.

{ but lol jk } But he's not the true thug he makes himself to be. Beneath all the layers of the badass-ness and behind the facade of the hardcore, banging hip-hopper he covers himself with, Yongguk is quite the sensitive man. Deep, deep down inside, he's a loving brother that bears an affectionate, fatherly instinct; he's hard-working not only in his line of profession, but in pleasing people, especially those he loves. He's not known to cry often, but it does happen, and if you just ask or offer nicely, Yongguk is an open book, just waiting for someone to talk to. The downside? He's too selfless. The upside? If you're selfish enough, you can use his naive character to your advantage.

→ How you met/meet ;

Initially, they met through Daehyun when the latter introduced Lifeng to Yongguk as a friend. They didn't talk much, as Lifeng, just like everybody else at the first meeting, was intimidated by Yongguk's nature. However, after the Immortal Song incident with Woohyun's victory, stubborn and childish Lifeng had no one else to confide in. Victoria was promoting her f(x) stuff and Luhan was busy preparing for his comeback; she could only seek Daehyun for solace.

She called him up, and met Daehyun promptly; however he had brought along a guest, much to Lifeng's surprise. Lamely, the renowned Busan Wonbin excused himself by saying he really had to attend the seminar TS was holding for the vocalists. And since he "didn't want to leave [ Lifeng ] alone in a state of vulnerability", he thought there was nothing else better to do than "bring the one person who can achieve anything" to comfort Lifeng.

And surprisingly, over a cup of coffee and some plates of cheesecake, Yongguk managed to raise Lifeng's wilted spirits. It could've been the caffeine.. or the sugar-instake.. or his gummy smile. Who knows?

→ How do you act around one another? ;

Yongguk is like the shoulder Lifeng constantly cries on. They grow to be relatively close and they start acting like the best of friends.. with the whole package included: teasing, bickering, making up, sharing food, and etc. However along the way, Yongguk begins to develop feelings for Lifeng, who is oblivious, as the only times they really meet are when TS and SM meet for practice or when Lifeng needs a teddy bear to soak up her tears. Yongguk begins to treat her nicer, buys her one-dollar gifts to cheer her up, offer to buy dinner or coffee -- he begins pushing the boyfriend act a bit further, but all Lifeng does is soak it all up, thinking he's just pitiying her and making an attempt to be a good pal.

So yeah. Best friends, it is.

{ you aren't a girl? } Luhan is very fragile looking; he appears to be weak and often looks like he needs a lot of taking care of. More often than not, Luhan is mistaken for a girl; if it's not that, then he's mistaken to be a young teenage boy. It irks the gentle-hearted man, that's for sure, but it adds to his naivete. His exterior is exactly what he is; Luhan wears his heart on his sleeve. He's not afraid to show what he's feeling, not afraid to express his thoughts, nor is his afraid to convey his secrets. The doe-like apperance adds on to his superfluous charisma, but it's not like this charming devil needs anymore assistance.

{ deceiving looks } But his looks are deceiving. Girly? Not in Luhan's dictionary; this playful brat does whatever it takes to show his peers that he's the manliest of men; whether it's lifting weights, picking up s and carrying them on his back, or juggling various tasks at once. He's what you can call the opposite of Bang Yongguk's nature. Luhan is quite childish and is often cracking jokes, though that just means he's friendly. He's got a very warm heart and is very protective of his friends, family, and his own dignity. He has a golden heart and a gentle nature that can even attract a butterfly to his caressing touch.

→ How you met/meet ;

Soo-man had told Luhan he'd be mentoring a new trainee, who was Chinese just like him. Ecstatic about the new expeerience and quite elated to show off his soothing vocal abilities, Luhan, upon Soo-man's orders, immediately went out to seek for the so-called Wu Lifeng. As directed, he entered the appointed recording studio and smiled as he saw the newly-entered trainee already waiting for him. Lifeng was fumbling with the knobs on the recording table, the stereo player in the back corner humming -- something like Ray Charles or Nora Jones

Luhan smiled. Nice taste in music. "Ni hao."

She seems taken aback by the language of her mother tongue entering her ears but Lifeng greets Luhan back anyways, introducing herself. Luhan returns her salutation with a friendly nod and a promising handshake. It was the start of something utterly amazing, in some ways or another.

→ How do you act around one another? ;

Best friends turned lovers. They're practically a couple already, teasing each other and bickering and whatnot. But really, they act like what typical best friends act like. They tease one another, yet when necessary they are there to support one another and cheer each other on. Luhan attends pretty much every blossom performance to support Lifeng and Lifeng does the same with EXO performances. However, they start to like one another, realizing that they probably couldn't live without one another, and things get awkward.

Lifeng and Luhan start avoiding each other, thinking it's impossible to like the other. The drift apart awkwardly and their conversations diminish from happy yapping to nervous throat clearing and grunts. Their relationship is about to crumble, but then boom. The secret's out and the pair's future is up to author-nim.
