The world of a fanfic writer

Random post. But I need to let this out because I think its something everyone should read, if they so wish to.

You know, I always had this egotistic idea about writing and reading fanfics --as well as art--.

The more views, favorites, subscribers, votes and comments there are, the better the story--or art--? Well that's true. It is about that.

But as I grew older, I began to wonder, is it really about all of that? I used to want, ask and demand for comments and subscriptions back when I was at Fanfiction.net, Livejournal and Winglin. I thought, hey, at least someone comment. I don't like silent readers --and honestly, I still don't. Actually, I'm a hypocrite, I'm one too lol--

No, it isn't about any of the above anymore. It's about feeling good when you write your stories. It's about sharing your ideas. It's about invisiniong your favorite pairing in a make-believe fantasy world, alternative world or real life in a "I wish they did this" scenerio.

Your grammar may not be top notch, your story could very well be idiotic, cliche or even doesn't make sense, or have a different structure than the standard, but in the end, it makes you feel good, right? You enjoy writing this story because one, you enjoy the fandom, and surely you can make friends in the same fandom.

That's what a community is about. Asianfanfics is a community, where fans can post up written work about fanfics on their favorite idol shippings, make new friends, and share their creativity.

I want to keep doing that. And I have came across a few good stories, very well written, and a few with poor grammar. But I still read it, because it is still my fandom, and I want to absorb all the creations out there. There is never enough of a certain fandom.

There are times when I may point out a mistake or criticize on your writing, but in the end, I am just helping you out. It's called, advice. I didn't blatently go out and shoot down your fanfic in flames. I would never do that, unless there's an unncesscary bashing to a certain person without any warning.

Sometimes, I may forget and ask for a little of this, or that, but in the end, I still thank everyone. I shall make a note to thank all my loyal readers and subscribers from the first time I started out here. Thank you everyone. I love you. I will post a blog later.

So, new fanfic authors and current authors, keep your dreams alive. Keep writing. KEEP THE FANDOM FEELS ALIVE, BECAUSE THERE HAS BEEN A LACK OF TOPFANY LATELY ;_____; OTL.

/end of rant

Excuse me for offending anyone. I didn't mean to. This is also directed at me too, as a reminder to be humble and be open-minded. I need to open up to new pairings too...

I'm a frustrated writer honestly, even though sometimes I feel tired since I felt like I really have few readers but I do continue it even if some of my family doubts me or even laughs at my hobby I do it still... fighting to us :)

I hope you don't mind me commenting, but I love this blog post you wrote <3

Even if my grammar may not be the best, I still love writing because writing is a part of who I am. I was pretty much nodding my head at everything you wrote XD Again I hope you don't mind me commenting.
