Exo Story Awards!
This is a great idea that has now been put into motion...Exo Story Awards!
Excerpt from page:
"AFF EXO FANFIC AWARDS (2012)
EXO is the 3rd most popular tag on AFF to date with almost 30,000 stories and growing, and this doesn't include the authors who write EXO stories and don't include the EXO tag. So essentially we're looking at almost 50,000 or more stories. It's amazing that the fandom has grown so big and in such little time that it's inevitable that something like this was going to happen.
I know I've harped on this in the foreword, but I need help getting this fic recognized and out there, because this can easily be a yearly thing. I need people to promote these awards, whether through blogs or your own stories or just telling a few of your online friends, so we can have more people in on this. I don't want 100-200 people know about this to nominate and vote, because then there is less competition and people will not fill up all the categories. I have over 50 categories thought up, almost every category having a rated and nonrated story that wins, except for the few awards like Best Author and whatnot. So essentially, if people wanted, over 100 people can get to be the best in a certain category, labeling one of them the best of 2012. See the predicament?
If we only have 100-200 people in on this, bragging rights won't be as awesome as they can be. If we had 1000-2000 people, it's a different story and these awards will be that much more awesome and relevant."
