background:

Jiho is the eldest son in his family. He has a younger sister that he loves very much. He had a normal family, working parents who lived in the same normal house in a normal neighborhood. His grandma from his dad lived nearby, just a couple of minutes walking. Well, his parents never moved to somewhere else before, as well as himself. He knows every face and every name and every pet that lived in a radius of a kilometer.

That's before his dad got promoted and his family had to move to Seoul when he was 16 years old. Adjusting to new city life was not that hard, he just had to say or act like he knows everything boys want to know (and apparently he knows about all of them) and they will accept him. Getting a part-time job wasn't really hard, either. He just need to go through a week training and voila, he can do the job pretty well.

But his grandma moved and lives with them, under the same roof. It's not a problem for him, but it turned out a big problem for his mom. She can't stand her mother-in-law. She said grandma nags a lot at her and she's not patient enough to deal with Japanese-spoken grandma. It pissed off his dad a lot and they got into fight every night. So, one day his mom said that they're going to separate. She left with his sister, even though his sister came back home a year after.

The divorce broke him down. He loves his family, especially his sister. He searched for comfort when his sister wasn't there to cheer him up. He even smoked and drank. His dad got frustrated because of his attitude and scold him a lot because of that. He became an internet addict as well at that time. He didn't go to work anymore, just went to school, then logging in and just stay in front of his computer all day. But that one year made him listen to lots genre of music, he started to love music, and bit by bit gaining music education in weird way.

Grandma realized that he has beautiful voice, husky and deep, and he sings beautifully, very soothing. Then after his sister came home, his grandma told her that Jiho has big talent in singing and he's meant to share his voice to everyone. They made a plan and made him go for weekly audition for SME. He did it just because they promised him new game controller for his online games if he goes to the audition and gets into SME. He did and he got the controller as well, a win-win solution.

personality:

Jiho is a stubborn guy, whatever he wants, he has to get it, even though he has to work hard to get it. But unfortunately, he is very hard to be motivated. He won't do something for you if he thinks it will be too troublesome for him, even though you're his bestest friend. And he thinks almost everything is troublesome, including eating and sleeping. Which makes everyone thinks that he's sort of self-centric, that he won't take care of others before himself.

It doesn't mean he's not willing to help others, though. It's just that his help will be depend on his mood. He'll help if he likes the person or having a good day. Besides, it's very easy to tell wheteher he doesn't like the person or not. He'll be sarcastic when he's annoyed, and totally ignores someone if he hates them. From outside he looks like he's a laid-back person, doesn't talk too much and seems like has little energy, but actually he is polite and friendly to new people.

He hates to be compared. He realizes his laziness is his worst weakness, and being compared with others, especially the best from the group, only brings his weakness to the surface. And the comparison will make others telling him to do better. He always see comparison and advices in negative ways, that they want him to change, to someone that's not him.

He actually has high IQ and quite athletic, that's why he learns fast. But because of that, he also realizes that he actually can do anything he wants to do. That fact gives him security that he doesn't need to try hard to do everything. He can be jack-of-all trades, if he's willing to practice. Sadly, he doesn't really like practice.

He gets depressed pretty easily because he's pressured by everyone, including himself, to do better in what he does and he has hard times to say what he feels. But because he knows how it feels to be helpless, he's open to anyone who wants to talk to him about anything, he is a good listener, and an open-minded guy. And he is also a good multitasker, since he listens while playing games.

Everyone has a weak spot in their heart, and for him, it's his sister. He brags a lot about her and shows her off to everyone he knows. He'll do anything for his sister. And he has this sister-complex that makes him being over-protective when it comes to her.

Why do you find it so hard to do everything? What is keeping you from doing your all?: Because he's in his safety zone. He lives his life well, his sister is living with him again. And he doesn't have a specific goal to reach. Why should he try better if his life is going pretty well?

What does this group really mean to you? Explain.: they are his new family, a weird family who take care of him. They make fuss over his laziness, but their life stories somehow warm his heart and make some sort of connection with him. He likes each member, and always tries to lessen the burden in their heart by sharing their problems.

training background: more or less 5 to 6 years. He auditioned in weekly audition of SME in Seoul because he wanted new game controller. His dad didn't agree at first, but after his grandma talked to him one night, he agrees and fully support him to be a singer, even scold him when he doesn't give all he has.
