LET'S WRITE TO THIS MODEST PROPOSAL:

An Outline/Skeleton for happyapple.

↳ (Working/Suggestion) Title:

The Wanted Space. (Young-Ae always wanted a space—and she was reffering it as a family—where she can felt the warmth of being in a part of family, also the feel of being welcomed and wanted). But you can always ignore my suggestion since I make no sense at all. LOL.

↳Overall Idea:

A 13 years old girl—her name is Young-Ae—was adopted by the Park from an orphan where she has been living for since she was a child. No one has really told her the reason why there was suddenly someone who wants to adopt her. Since she has been neglected for what seems like forever. Watching her friends leaving the orphan one by one because they were adopted, wasn't and never becomes a pleasent sight for little Young-Ae. That's why Young-Ae was really happy when she was told that there are someone who interested to adopting her.

She finally get to feel how is it to be a part of a family. To feel how is it feels like to be loved and to love and also to be treasured and to treasure someone. To grasp the warmth of being a part of a family, the warmth that she had been longed by little Young-Ae since the first time she set her foot on the orphan. She was expecting too much, hoping for too much, and only to be crashed when she found out that the reason she was adopted in the first place is only to replace the 'empty space' of the loss youngest daughter of the family who died because of a terrible accident. Therefore she wasn't welcomed as much as she hoped to, though all Young-Ae wants is being in a constant space called family. All Young-Ae ever wants is being in a "space" where she get her existence acknowledged. 

↳Character Suggestion:

THE MAIN CHARACTER:

• Young-Ae: She doesn't have a last name, yet. Young-Ae character was inspired by Anna Firzgerald character in My Sister's Keeper. She is smart, determined and observant. Can be strong-willed and independent sometimes when she needs to. She's more mature compared to the other girls around her age. She doesn't act all whiny and coquettish, because she was used to live her life modestly in the orphan. You can change her character's name or change it into an actor kid or something else. I chose the name 'Young-Ae' for the little girl because it means 'Beloved daughter'.

THE PARK FAMILY:

• Sandara Park (the mother): She's the one who was affected the most with her daughter's death. Everyday she would cried in her sleep, thinking of her youngest daughter whom she loved the most. Dara is caring, fearing for too much for a small matter and kind-hearted but can be bossy sometimes, which irritates her family. That's why she can't stand being not in control. Her problem with Young-Ae is she always treat her as she imagined Sunyoung's image and often mistake/confuse Young-Ae's name with dead daughter's name.
• Jiyong Park (the father): He was also shocked beyond words at the first but tries to move on since he's the head of family, he needs to stand up for her family. Can't stand seeing her wife moping around about his late daughter, makes Jiyong finally come to the decision to adopt another daughter with the same age and similiar facial features. In hope can make his wife feels better. Jiyong is a thoughtful father who protects his family a lot. Dislikes being debated by his children. His problem with Young-Ae is he rarely talk with her and always being awkward when Young-Ae is around.  
• Yoochun Park (the oldest brother): Yoochun is always quiet and reserved when he's around his parent. Only talk when he was needed and do what he was told to do. But he's so different whenever he was left alone together with Sunyoung, he talks a lot, laughs a lot and often sleep together with his little sister. He often treat Sunyoung ice-cream and also help her with her homework. He is a caring and lovely brother to Sunyoung, but everything changed since Sunyoung is dead. He rarely show his smile or laugh and often give Young-Ae a silent treatment.      
• Sunyoung Park (the dead sister): Everyone's eyecandies. Everyone's favorite child. Everyone's adorable moodboster. Sunyoung is a sweet, likeable and cheerful kid. Sunyoung always being the one who lighten up the atmosphere when the family were having a dinner together. She never dissapoint anyone and always being the goody-goody daughter who always obeyed her parents' word. No one ever thought that Sunyoung would die in that terrible accident. It shocked everyone in the family and Sunyoung's sudden death is the thing that makes the family fell apart.

↳ Part 01:

• Explain Young-Ae's happy feeling being adopted by the Park. How she always dreaming for a family (space) and such.
• Write about Young-Ae's first meeting with the Park family. In this part, she wasn't exactly ignored but more like.. everyone didn't show much excitement meeting with Young-Ae. As if Young-ae is the only one who felt excited about it. Describe about Young-Ae's feeling when she saw the blank look on the Park faces as she greet them happily. Young-Ae also noticed that there's no 'warmth' in the family, everyone are still unhappy about Sunyoung's death.
• Also describe Young-Ae's pressure and crushed feeling when she accidenly overhearing Dara and Jiyong quarreling about the reason why they decided to adopt Young-Ae.

 

↳ Part 02:

• Young-Ae is curious about what really happened in the family and she decided to do some investigation. Which later lead her to an old photo album in one of the bookshelves. The photo album finally answered all of Young-Ae's curiosity as she looked over the photos, where all of the Parks were smiling happily and looked very different compared to the Parks she had met.
• Here you will write about how the Parks treated little Young-Ae. They gave her fake smile, fake laugh, fake hug, fake love, and fake feeling. Young-Ae knows about the truth, but she decided to just shut up. Young-Ae then later realized that they will always imagine her as Sunyoung, and she can't replace Sunyong's place in their heart no matter how hard she tried her best. Young-Ae feels sad, rejected and hurt but tried to hide it inside her.
• She started to shed her feelings towards the Park in a piece of paper. She wrote how she wants to change the Parks, how she wants to make all of them to become an one happy family and how she wants them to acknowledge her existence not only because she resembles Sunyoung.
