Let's Take a Look Under the Hood

Personality: I'm usually calm, quiet and reserved. I don't snitch and only talk when I need to. I follow orders and do as I am told. I listen well and observe others well. I could read people's lies through their facial expressions and physical movements. I keep my distance from others that I do not know and don't talk to anyone who is not involved with me in any way. I'm mature and take responsibility for those who make mistakes in our gang. I make sure that everyone is doing what they are supposed to and make sure they aren't doing anything rash. I investigate on rats and finances of the gang. I'm very serious when it comes to loyalty and trust. I'll yell when I'm disappointed and usually when I'm mad I don't say a word and ignore everyone. There are times where I'll smile once in a while and crack jokes here and there but, I believe there's a time and place for that. If there's something I need to say, I usually wait until it's the right time to say it. I don't like to interrupt meetings or gatherings. I hate to be the one who brings bad news but, when I find things out I have to say them. I guess you can say that I'm motherly to the new members because I tend to make them feel less tense after feeding them. I respect others and don't force people to do or say things. People see me as a people pleaser but, I know when to say no or stand up for those who didn't do anything wrong. I'm not rude and try not to say mean things. I try to stay out of people's way and do my own thing. I'm not hot tempered and I'm independent. I usually like doing things on my own. I don't really care about other people's opinions and hate listening to gossip. I like to base things off of facts and reality. Although I have pride in what I do, I don't ever brag. 

Background: My parents met in high school and when they graduated they got married. My mom wanted four kids and my dad wanted two. They disagreed on family lifestyle and traditions. A few months after they got married, my mother got pregnant with Taesuk, my older brother. My father couldn't take Taesuk's cries so he would beat up my mother everytime he heard Taesuk utter a sound. My father, at the time, couldn't find a stable job while my mom was at home taking care of Taesuk. College was too expensive and their parents disowned them after they got married. No one was there to help my parents. When Taesuk turned 5, I was born. My father was happy and always bought my mom gifts. The fun didn't last for long because when I would pout over the smallest things my father would beat my mother and every time Taesuk tried to protect our mother, my father would just beat up Taesuk too. When I turned four, YoonMi was born. My mother packed up her bags and left to Seoul. She didn't want her newborn to face the wrath that me and my brother did. My father ran after us and found out where we lived. He cried and beg for my mother back. Unknowingly, my mother took him in. She felt bad for him and didn't know what to do. A few months later, Taesuk was beaten so badly he out. He didn't wake up the next day and my mother took him into the hospital. He was in a coma for a few days. When the hospital suspected abuse they called the cops and interviewed my parents. They asked me if I've ever seen my dad hit my brother and I didn't deny it. My father was taken to jail and now my mother was jobless. My mother found her friend through the police department and called her. My mother's friend cried when she heard what happened and she offered my mom a job at her restaurant called King's Restaurant. 

After working at that restaurant for nine years, Taesuk was 18, I was 13 and YoonMi was 9. Taesuk started drug dealing and coming home late. My mother got worried and told him that he couldn't go out anymore. He ignored her orders and ran away. He didn't come back home until the cops found him two weeks later. He didn't dare look at my mom in her eyes. He only said sorry and walked out. Taesuk barely graduated and started his career bartending. After a few years of working at the club, he finally made enough money to make his own club called Wave. 

Seeing Taesuk coming home drunk, I would lock my door. I was 16. I didn't go out much and stayed home reading books. After studying so much, I was fed up with having to live a life of worrying and boredom. I would go out with Taesuk sometimes and learn how to race. Because I was too young, I wasn't able to go to the after parties and Taesuk would bring me home before 10. Taesuk went to the car dump with me and got me my first car. When I turned 18, I started going to clubs and raced more often. Although I went out a lot, I kept up with my grades so that I could become a neurologist. My dream job. During my senior year, I joined Street Lethal. I then started to fix cars and DJ.

Growing up, Yoonmi didn't get to see much of me or Taesuk. But, she was always fine on her own since she had many friends and went out to the mall. She was so innocent and got her first heart broken at the age of 14, when I joined Street Lethal. She doesn't study much but, she has hopes of becoming a fashion designer. 

How did you get involved: Taesuk's car broke down and so he brought it to Seunghyun's garage. After a few hours Taesuk picked up his car and did a test drive. Yongguk watched Taesuk drive and made fun of Taesuk's drifting. The car suddenly broke down and Taesuk started to get really mad and accuse Yongguk of messing up his car. I saw what was going on and opened the hood while Yongguk and Taesuk were yelling at one another. I found that the belt was a little loose and replaced it. I got in Taesuk's car and started test driving it. Yongguk and Taesuk stopped yelling and Yongguk asked who was in the car. Taesuk said that it was me and motioned for me to stop driving the car. When I got out, Yongguk offered me a job at Seunghyun's garage. I denied the offer. Later that night, Yongguk told Seunghyun about me and the next day they came to my school and kidnapped picked me up. They talked to me in the car and told me that they could help me pay for my tuition if I joined. I agreed and Seunghyun tested my skills when I got to their garage. He was amazed at how much I knew. Later that night, I stopped Seunghyun from making a deal with some Japanese men who were creating fake engines. Seunghyun saw that I could help them in the future and offered me to join Street Lethal.

Occupation/Education: I'm currently a medical student at Hanyang University and I work part-time as a mechanic. I graduated high school being the top 20 of my class.

Personality: He seems very serious at times but really he's so hyper. He laughs all the time and does the most weirdest things. He likes to fool around and enjoy the time that he has. He's a horrible liar and a trustworthy friend. Someone you can rely on when you are in trouble. He's sensitive and can't hide his emotions well. How did you meet: Taesuk introduced us. I met him at the car dump when I bought my first car. He helped me pick out the car and helped me fix it up. Taesuk asked Dongwoo to come because he thought that Dongwoo would be good help.

Personality:

• Kim Jonghyun [JR]: He's quiet and doesn't say much either. But when you get to know him, he likes his opinions to be expressed. He's very picky and judges others very quickly. He comments on everything and sometimes the things that he says are very rude and he doesn't know it. He's blunt and doesn't mind if he hurts someone's feelings. 
• Park Jaebeom [Jay Park]: He's very serious when it comes to work. He doesn't like fooling around when it's work hours. At night, he's crazy. A playboy. He's flirty and quick with words. He can be friendly when he's not mad. He's hot-tempered and only shows off his cool side when he's happy. When he's happy, he does silly faces and make jokes around everything. He's very caring and worries a lot about others. He wants the best for everyone. He's very protective and rages out on anyone who disrepects women. 

How did you meet:

• Kim Jonghyun [JR]: I met him when I went to pick up YoonMi from the mall. Yoonmi hung out with him the whole day and ended up liking him. After dropping Yoonmi off home, I went to go race and found out that he's from NOZ.
• Park Jaebeom [Jay Park]: I met him when I was looking for car parts. I went to his store and told him about my Honda Civic. He advised to me which parts were needed and which parts were still good. He gave me a discount and has always helped me with my cars. He also helped me the second time when I got my Acura.

Rival: Fei (Miss A)

Personality: She is a prideful, egoistic, selfish woman who loves to win. She's the fastest girl racer and hasn't lost a race once. She has a sharp tongue and likes to haze people. She does whatever she can to win. She's strong-willed and evil. If things don't end like how she wants it, she'll make it end the way she wants it. She's flirtatious, y and seductive. She has respect for those above her and grinches for those who are below her status. She's dramatic and misunderstands things. She's not the type to compromise. 

What Happened: On my first race, I lost to her. After two years (when I became 18), I finally beated her. We are now fighting for the women's race championship and in every race, we both want to win. 

Love Life

Personality: He's very bubbly, positive and happy. He hates thinking of negative thoughts and worries a lot about others. He's curious about many things and is very hesistant to do new things. He's an innocent boy who has a heart of a child. He's an inspirational speaker who can't do much for himself. He's very talkative and not shy. He's against violence and illegal things. He wants to help guide the way and tries to show delinquents a better path. Whenever he sees some underage kid smoking he throws the cigarette away and smiles at the kid telling them that they shouldn't do those kinds of things.

How did you meet:

• Soryong: I met him while I was smoking. He thought I was an underaged kid and threw my cigarette away from my hand. He crouched down to my level and ruffles my hair. He tells me that I shouldn't smoke because it can kill me and my lungs. He walks away and turns around saying one last thing, "Don't let me catch you next time". I didn't mind it and slightly laughed at how stupid he was. The next day, at the same spot, he did it again. 
• Hoya/ Simon: I met him when I went to the club for the first time. He saw how awkward I was and smirked. He went up to me and asked me to dance with him. I just looked at him and walked away. He grabs my wrist and looks at me. "I can teach you" is what he said. I slightly laughed and nudged him away.
